I reall enjoyed this course. Though i felt the actual lessons on mathematical properties were not as useful because of my current skill set, the course did a great job to teach how best to beat the test using strategy to eliminate answers and get the best answer in the least amount of time. Lisa was great and was very knowledgeable and willing to help.

I cannot recommend Kaplan with higher confidence since I completed the course and took the GMATs! I went in having not looked at a GMAT problem and two months later I achieved my goal score plus 40 points! Needless to say I was excited and this score helped me gain acceptance into every business school i applied to!

One of the core reasons I feel as though I achieved my goal score was though my amazing instructor! The knowledge and professionalism that was exhibited throughout the course made for an enjoyable experience with a subject matter that is far from that. I felt confident and comfortable in all of the sessions, each of which was organized and executed to perfection.

I am not one to give out compliments unless they are deserved. I can say that I was truly Wowed by the experience the Kaplan classroom course gave me. I recommend this course to everyone!!!!!!

Just learn it on your own

Let me first start by saying my instructor was excellent. He went over everything very well and helped out students as they needed it. That is why I rated to course 5 stars, because of his excellent teaching.

The reason I do not recommend the actual prep classes is that these things can be learned on your own. By using just a GMAT prep book, I feel that I could have saved the class tuition (which is very expensive) and wound up just fine. My overall score on the final test was barely higher than my practice test before I took the course, and yes, I did all the necessary homework.

Overall, I would suggest trying to study on your own. If after much individual effort you feel you need help, then Kaplan is the way to go. Otherwise, save your money.

Usually when something sounds too good to be true it is. Kaplan's higher score guarantee is actually exactly what it says it is (my experience anyway). After taking this class for most of the winter (3 months), I took the GMAT and did not score particularly high, nor did I get what I thought was acceptable in my mind. A few weeks later, I walked in to a Kaplan center to inquire about taking advantage of another time through knowing what I knew. I expected a battle, but 10 minutes later I walked out re-enrolled in a class for the summer. Having already taken the class and test, I feel like I am at an advantage and I definitely feel more prepared for round two of testing. It has also been great to get two different teacher's perspectives on ways to beat the test maker and eliminate wrong answer choices efficiently. One recommendation I would make would be to enroll in a class that is spread out over a couple months. As a working professional, it is nice to have a week to get the required work done between sessions. Kudos to Kaplan for delivering a great product and backing it up with an even greater guarantee.
