Hi all! At the beginning of the month I took my first GMAT test, which I scored 690. Basically I needed to improve my verbal, since I had a 50 on Quant and a 34 on verbal. The problem is that I had only 3 weeks to do so, because of universities deadlines... I opted for magoosh verbal after some research, and I loved it. The videos are amazing, easy to understand and help you to to focus on what you need. (Mike is an awesome teacher...!) the exercises with explanations are also a differential. On my second gmat test, 3 weeks later, I improved my verbal in 6 points, which gave me a 730. I've already recommend magoosh for my girlfriend, that is studying for GRE! =)
Go for it, you won't regret. Besides, they have a great policy of money refund.

For a person who is going to business school, purchasing Magoosh would be just the kind of demonstration of keen business sense that top schools are looking for.
There are many GMAT Prep courses out there, and some of the can cost upwards of a thousand dollars. I consider that some companies in the field are stodgy, outdated, and rely too much on their established names. They are unable to adapt to the changes that their younger more resourceful rivals - like Magoosh - have brought to the field. When taking a test like the GMAT it boils down to grasping key concepts so well that you can perform under the 'stress' you are likely to experience in a timed exam, the result of which could determine your entrance to the school of your choice. The instructors at Magoosh are masters at explaining complex topics in an easy-to-understand way. And yet what good would that be if they were not able to keep things interesting? This is where the 'soft' factors really shine for Magoosh. It comes thorugh in the personality, likeability and charisma of the instructors. Could I have gotten a better score with a more expensive personalized course? Maybe. Indeed it is not hard to imagine getting an extra 20 points; some of the courses out there offer personalized coaching and instruction. But could I have gotten that for anywhere close to 99 USD that I paid for Magoosh? Impossible!
