I purchased the online ON DEMAND course and would definitely not recommend it to anyone. It is too theoretical, confusing and did not guide me through what really matters to obtain a good score on the actual Gmat test.
The pre-recorded classes only skims through concepts and the exercises drills are a waste of time, since they are too simple and not challenging at all. After starting with Veritasprep my scores started to decrease and I had such a hard time to recover what I already used to score. Their methodology does not work at all.
The Books present several errors, and the exercises are not real GMAT examples and, consequently, are very confusing and misleading. Sometimes I had to spend more time trying to figure out what the question was asking for than solving the problem and focusing on learning the concept.
The email help is terrible. Whenever I wrote them, they would take 3 days to give me an answer and that answer would be pretty much the “copy and paste” version of what I had seen before. I tried online help but again didn’t work because the instructor could not solve a problem on probability. For someone aiming to reach +700 those difficult exercises were key to succeed and the instructor wasn’t able to help me to solve the question.
This course not only did not address concepts in enough detail to help me obtain the desired score, but also it made me confused on how to approach even easier questions.

I took the GMAT once with self study. Wanted to take the test again, and decided i want to try a course this time. I don't have the time to go to class and the on demand course seemed perfect.

The books are pretty generic with bunch of questions. However the presentation/slides on demand are almost fun to listen to!

I am taking it mostly to work on my verbal. They have different tips and algorithms, methods to use.

I have studied for GMAT test for a while. I have seen so many books, courses, and websites with different approaches. Sometimes, they are confuse and hard to understand. However, I had the opportunity to be invited by my friend to take the course with Veritas. We took the course through July 12th and August 25th and the experience was amazing because they have good resources and so many practice test on their website. The books are great and it is a wonderful source to practice the concepts taught in class. In each class our instructor reviewed our homework and made the concepts clear one more time. Our instructor Aaron J. Pond is a great guy always concerned with each student in our individual needs. I haven't seen an instructor as well prepared as he is. Also, we had a small group taking the course, which helped us to ask questions any time during the course. I totally recommend Veritas Prep Course for those looking for a way to beat the GMAT. Soon I am going to take the test again.

Personally, the course was particularly helpful with coaching testing techniques, which allowed me to focus and mentally process questions during the exam. This proved especially handy towards the end of each section when my brain was fried.

I started my first class the Monday after my first GMAT attempt and retook the GMAT the Saturday following my last class. I applied to schools at the last minute and had a 6-week window of time when I needed to retake the exam to reach my 700+ target score. I was not sure I would sufficiently study in time and this course provided me the study structure to do so. Also, since I needed to travel during the 6-week window, the online format was perfect for my needs.

The instructor (David Newland) was excellent. He articulated the answer explanations clearly and was very responsive to questions e-mailed outside of class.

I have mixed reviews about Veritas. The first time I did it, I used the selfpaced online course. I went through the material, did some practice tests and when I wrote it, got a lousy 540.

I thought maybe it was just a lack of discipline so I called Veritas and got a discount to enroll in a teacher led course online. David was the instructor and I thought overall, he did a good job. The structure is a bit difficult in that all you have is a voice and whiteboard, there's no face to face interaction. I wrote the test again and sadly, I scored the same! I should note that I am a poor standardized test taker and unfortunately, Veritas didn't help me very much in this regard.

Veritas has some great text books (a box full) but I think I'm going to try to study from the original materials first and foremost and try again. The test questions just aren't the same.

The following is a letter I sent to people who helped me answer questions:

Well I ended up taking the GMAT the Saturday before last. On the practice tests, before Veritas, I got a 620 (GMAT Prep, though I did guess a lot and luckily got a lot of questions right). After going through the Veritas On Demand, I got scores of 630 (800 score), 590 (Veritas), and 610 (GMAT Prep). As you can see, I wasn't expecting much more than a 630 if I got lucky.

Test day, I felt really good after my essay, then started struggling with quant (as I had expected because I was consistently getting 35-40) and then I ended up getting back into the test room 1 minute late, though I didn't worry too much because I normally finished at least 5 minutes fast on verbal.

However, Murphy's Law came into effect and the problems were very difficult. I kept looking at my inability to solve the problems in a quick manner and the time clock, realizing at this pace I wouldn't be able to finish the test. So, I did what any wise test taker would do: took a couple deep breaths, prayed, and then guessed on a good 10 questions! Ha, ha. Finally I got back on pace.

I knew that I wouldn't have another chance to take the test until I came back from Afghanistan next year so if I were going to apply to business schools prior to shipping out, I would need a score, no matter how bad it may be. I was honestly expecting at least a 580 or something of the sort, I mean, how well can you do when you guessed on over 10 questions out of 41!?

However, to my unbelief, I ended up getting a 660/82% (V35/73% , Q45/74%)!! I just stared at my computer screen in unbelief and in utter thanks to God who somehow messed with the computer system to get me this score (ha ha). And today I received my official score report and found out that I got a AWA 6.0/90%! Hallelujah! Anyway, though it wasn't as high as I wanted to score, I know myself and I'm not much of a test taker. I hope it's a good enough score to get me into at least a decent business school.

I definitely wanted to spend this time to give you guys a debrief, people whom I believe had a big part in getting the score I did. Ed and Valerie, thank you so much for your incredible patience with all of the questions I had on ... Well, everything! And thank you for your encouragement after the discouraging practice test scores. And Peter, thanks for taking an interest in me when I first called Veritas in wanting to get more information about the program and continuing to encourage me and help me along the way. I thank God for providing me you guys to help me along my journey in the MBA process and hopefully we'll keep in touch!
