I took the Veritas Prep Full Course back in late 2009 after having taken another prep course a couple years earlier. The Veritas course was more rigorous than the other test prep course I took and I'm thankful that it was - I was able to improve my score by 30 points.

Rather than trying to teach students gimmicks or tricks, the Veritas crew teaches the quantitative material in a more fundamental level that leads to a greater level of understanding.

My instructor was Mark Glenn and he also did a great job. He clearly has an expert understanding of the material (both quant and verbal) and was able to answer students' questions well. (In the prior course I took, the instructor was only able to refer to the "teacher's guide" any time a student had a question...which, as you can imagine, led to some frustrated would-be MBA students.)

I recommend the Veritas course to everyone who asks about it and can't say enough positive things about it. Thanks to Veritas, I was able to improve my GMAT score and get into the MBA program I had been targeting for the past couple years.

This is a very interactive class. The teacher gets the students involved, which is beneficial. I would recommend doing your homework, as that truly will help your GMAT score. Get the most bang for your buck with Veritas, as classroom hours are double the other courses.

I recently completed my Veritas Prep course and had a very enjoyable experience. By learning and utilizing the core strategies taught in the class I have seen a nice 70 point jump in my practice tests and feel much more prepared to take on the GMAT beast! Special praise must be given to instructor Travis Morgan whose upbeat personality kept me awake after a full day of work. Highly recommend.

GAHD I love Veritas Prep. Everything about them is top notch: teachers, classes, online materials, customer service, books, etc.

I took the class a while ago but got too busy to study so it was super handy that they let you take a class again for free to refresh your memory.

If you take classes in LA, you might just be lucky enough to take classes with the awesome people that contributed to the book!

Though my score doesn't reflect my understanding, I really did learn a lot from Travis. He did a great job breaking down the material. I also used him for private tutoring. I am confident when I take the GMAT again my score will significantly increase because Travis helped me truly understand the problems.

I initially approached the course with scepticism. I was doing fairly well with GMAT prep to start with and was unsure of what benefit the Veritas prep course could offer. That said the course was very helpful in keeping me on track, especially while working full-time. The Veritas prep books offered great instruction and had significant depth to challenge me to strive for a 700+ score. The Veritas prep staff were very helpful, and the online resources portal they offer as part of the course gave access to many prep materials and practice tests. The instructor for the Toronto full course, Bobby Umar, was also an excellent and engaging teacher. He helped me navigate common test pitfalls and went above and beyond to mentor me throughout the GMAT process. I ultimately got the score I wanted and it was definitely worth it.

I only had Mark as my teacher. He was terrific. However, you may spend all that money to take a GMAT score but in the end it is really up to you and how much time you invest outside of the classroom. The curriculum and material are great. Multiple books split into the different aspects of the GMAT so you can focus on a specific topic.

The following is a letter I sent to people who helped me answer questions:

Well I ended up taking the GMAT the Saturday before last. On the practice tests, before Veritas, I got a 620 (GMAT Prep, though I did guess a lot and luckily got a lot of questions right). After going through the Veritas On Demand, I got scores of 630 (800 score), 590 (Veritas), and 610 (GMAT Prep). As you can see, I wasn't expecting much more than a 630 if I got lucky.

Test day, I felt really good after my essay, then started struggling with quant (as I had expected because I was consistently getting 35-40) and then I ended up getting back into the test room 1 minute late, though I didn't worry too much because I normally finished at least 5 minutes fast on verbal.

However, Murphy's Law came into effect and the problems were very difficult. I kept looking at my inability to solve the problems in a quick manner and the time clock, realizing at this pace I wouldn't be able to finish the test. So, I did what any wise test taker would do: took a couple deep breaths, prayed, and then guessed on a good 10 questions! Ha, ha. Finally I got back on pace.

I knew that I wouldn't have another chance to take the test until I came back from Afghanistan next year so if I were going to apply to business schools prior to shipping out, I would need a score, no matter how bad it may be. I was honestly expecting at least a 580 or something of the sort, I mean, how well can you do when you guessed on over 10 questions out of 41!?

However, to my unbelief, I ended up getting a 660/82% (V35/73% , Q45/74%)!! I just stared at my computer screen in unbelief and in utter thanks to God who somehow messed with the computer system to get me this score (ha ha). And today I received my official score report and found out that I got a AWA 6.0/90%! Hallelujah! Anyway, though it wasn't as high as I wanted to score, I know myself and I'm not much of a test taker. I hope it's a good enough score to get me into at least a decent business school.

I definitely wanted to spend this time to give you guys a debrief, people whom I believe had a big part in getting the score I did. Ed and Valerie, thank you so much for your incredible patience with all of the questions I had on ... Well, everything! And thank you for your encouragement after the discouraging practice test scores. And Peter, thanks for taking an interest in me when I first called Veritas in wanting to get more information about the program and continuing to encourage me and help me along the way. I thank God for providing me you guys to help me along my journey in the MBA process and hopefully we'll keep in touch!
