I found Magoosh to be a comprehensive and effective software in prepping for my GMAT. Their maths videos especially were very helpful, and their prep questions were incredibly useful! I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten my target score in such a short prep time without Magoosh.

When I started studying for the GMAT in early January based off of a New Years resolution, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I did fairly well in school, so I figured I'd need a month or two at most in order to get my target score. I intend on going to a T15 school, so I set my sights on at least a 700 cumulative score. Simple enough, right?

How wrong I was. I took a diagnostic shortly after I began my studying and scored a 560, with a particularly weak score in quant. While lower than I expected, I took this as a normal baseline for someone who finished college over two years ago. After a month of not-so-intensive studying with another program (roughly 5 hours a week), I took my first official GMAC practice exam in early February. I once again got a 560 (Q31 V35) - no improvement whatsoever. Discouraged, I did some research online and settled on incorporating Magoosh into my study routine.

This was probably the single greatest decision I could've made. I upped my study time to about 10 hours a week (2 hours every weekday after work, with the occasional session on the weekend.) As shown below, I immediately saw an uptick in my scores:

GMAC Practice Test 2 (Early March): 700 (Q45 V40)
GMAC Practice Test 3 (Late April): 740 (Q49 V42)
GMAC Practice Test 4 (Late June - 5 days before my actual test): 710 (Q46 V41)

Besides having the love and support of my friends and family, I can single-handedly attribute this dramatic change to the targeted assistance from Magoosh. While I didn't pay for their tutoring services, the question bank and lessons provided immense detail on what to expect on the test. On top of this, every single question and lesson had both video and text explanations - catering to both auditory and visual learners. I also want to provide my unbridled praise to the Magoosh Support team, which often times would respond within an hour to any clarifications I needed on questions. I essentially had a tutor for a tenth of the price!

With my newfound confidence, I walked into my exam with my head held high. I left with an excellent score that will allow me to pursue my MBA dreams. If you take away anything from this review, it should be this: Magoosh will set you on the path to GMAT quant success.

My favorite things about Magoosh were (i) the phenomenal video explanations on practice problems and general topics and (ii) the timing of each question to see where you compared to other Magoosh users. As well, Magoosh's question bank was filled with challenging problems that one could use to build meaningful practice tests. The video explanations were again very helpful here, and I strongly recommend them to any Magoosh user (you can also speed them up or slow them down to better fit the pace at which you are digesting the video).

Lastly, the Magoosh service was great. I enjoyed how employees would check in on my progress, answer my questions, and provide me with tips when I needed them.

I'm a visual learner, so having video lessons and video break downs of each individual question was crucial for me. Every time I got a question wrong, it was like having an individual tutor there to show me the correct way to do the question. I used a few different book prep resources, but the Magoosh videos were so much better. If you're a visual learner like me, there is no other option, it's gotta be Magoosh!

If you are the type of person that prefers video learning to text learning, Magoosh is probably the best service for you. I previously had used the Economist for 2 months and started with a baseline of 710, only to score a 710 two months later. I then moved to Magoosh and scored a 770 in only 3 weeks. I needed help primarily in verbal, and I found Magoosh?s content to be fantastic. The video format (as opposed to just text) worked very well for me. In addition, the course gives you hundreds of practice questions that can be accessed at any time during your course.

To me, it?s clearly the best value for money out there. And even at its reasonable price, it rivals much more expensive programs when putting price aside.

Highly recommend! Especially for those looking for a shorter study window.

I used Kaplan prep for my first exam and did absolutely awful, as the materials I purchased had almost no digital components at all and didn?t give feedback.

The Magoosh software is super easy to use and helped me raise my score while only preparing for a few weeks! The answers to questions are very thorough and you?re always able to get your questions answered quickly.

I found Magoosh lessons and answer videos to be so helpful. It helped me gain a better understanding of how to approach questions and more importantly how to save time on the test! With two weeks of intense studying with Magoosh, I improved by score 80 points!

First off, some simple details. I'm 35, so it's been a long time since I was a student, even more so when it comes to solving the type of question the GMAT throws at you. As such, whilst the OG is useful, it does not so much 'teach' as inform.

The most useful aspect of Magoosh, at least initially, are the hours of tutorial videos. If you need to learn, or re-learn various techniques this is invaluable. They tend to focus on the fundamental principals in clearly delivered 5-15 minutes videos.

Whilst their question bank does seem to be quite good in terms of volume, I would say that their scoring appears to be on the conservative side, at least for me. I attempted the GMAC prep test 1 prior to signing up or even opening up the OG. I got 610 on that first try. After a month of Magoosh I sat each of the GMAC prep tests (1-6) once a week, and it 710-730 each time. The Magoosh predictor, as well as the practice tests, typically had me around 660-680. It's better to be conservative, but still the discrepancy was nonetheless noticeable .

If you need to learn or relearn fundamentals, then I would highly recommend Magoosh as a supplementary provider to the OG and other GMAC materials.

The structured layout of Magoosh was very helpful to keep me on track. You can track your progress, watch videos, and get explanations to questions right away. 10/10 would recommend.

I think the best thing about this plan is the structure. It forces you to study everyday and to learn both verbal concepts and math concepts from different sources. Magoosh is great for teaching you want. I went from a 38 to a 48. However, I don't think it can get you higher than that score. I believe that if you use this plan you should also consider supplementing it with gmat club quant tests. After i went through all of those exams I found it really easy to score 49-50 and still have 5 minutes left.

In terms of verbal, magoosh is really good for concepts for sentence correction. It will teach you the fundamental idioms; however, I think SC on the actual gmat is much harder than any SC question I have seen on Magoosh, and also on MGMAT practice questions. Magoosh CR is a little easier but in its plan for advanced students it has you do LSAT CR and RC questions which are much harder and prepare you behind the difficulty of the questions on the exam. I don't think I would have been exposed to all the resources available and all nuances of the exam if I hadn't used Magoosh.

For reference, Magoosh also had you do MGMAT practice exams throughout the course. My MGMAT practice score are 570, 580, 620, 640, 720, 720 then gmac gmat exams 720, 720, 640, 750, 690

Magoosh is great for both math and verbal because of the in depth lessons and strategies, but I found it particularly useful for practicing math problems. Definitely should buy the premium package if you haven't done some of the math or verbal since high school. Even with an engineering degree, I had to go back and practice heavily on combinatorics, statistics, probability, and geometry. One warning, if you decide to do "practice tests" on Magoosh, which consists of just the Math and Verbal sections, do not pay attention to the score you receive at the end. In each of my practice tests, I would get anywhere between 600 and 670, but when I did the GMATPrep exams and the actual GMAT, I got well over 700 each time. This is because Magoosh's computer adaptive algorithm is pretty simple and can end up giving you strings of Very Hard questions if you do well initially in the sections, which, if you fail these, will kill your score. The most important thing is to just practice practice practice, and then review each question you do regardless of if you got it right or wrong, and take plenty of notes on questions (Magoosh has a feature to let you make notes on each question). The goal should be that by the two weeks prior to your GMAT exam, you're able to narrow down your specific topic weaknesses in the math and verbal sections, and just practice questions on these topics (which Magoosh allows you to filter and do). Best of luck to everyone prepping for the GMAT.

I used the advanced plan for students. I would highly recommend it for anyone aiming for a high score. I did not take the actual gmat before starting, but I scored a 570 on the first practice test structured into the plan. After I finished the plan, I scored a 750. Magoosh will beat the topics into you until you eat, sleep, and think only gmat. Magoosh has so many math questions and super detailed explanations and lesson videos that will teach you more than everything you need to know for the gmat. The combinatrics problems on Magoosh are really challenging and I could only get a few correct. However, the ones on the actual gmat are child's play compared with the ones from Magoosh. I would highly recommend Magoosh and Magoosh's advanced plan to anyone aiming for a high score.

I watched most of the videos and did most of the prep questions. I found it very useful and attribute my score to the excellent study preparation provided by Magoosh,

Fantastic product. I had only about one month to study for the GMAT, and using this course was the best prep decision I could've made. Loved in particular the video explanations of answers to each question as well as the analytics that kept my test prep schedule razor-focused on strengthening my weaknesses. Felt very well-prepared for the GMAT after just one month with this course. Premium is completely worthwhile.

I entered the Magoosh course frustrated, after having taken the GMAT twice and receiving the same score both times (730). I watched all the Magoosh videos in about two weeks, spent several hours targeting my weaknesses on quant, and achieved a score of 760! I can't recommend this product enough.

I only had 4 weeks to prepare for the GMAT from scratch and found Magoosh products to have worked extremely well in my preparation. I scored a 650 in my very first CAT exam (no preparation); in the actual test, I scored a 760 (M50 / V41). I used Magoosh and OG guide in my preparation and put in about ~120 -150 hrs in total prep time.

Advantages of Magoosh:
1) Video instructions and lessons are much more efficient than live lessons because you can play them at 1.75x playback speed and skip / revist as necessary. The lessons were helpful as material refreshers. Every question also has a mini video explanation, which made me absorb each question much faster than reading from OG / text explanations.
2) High quality question bank, UI is simple to use and makes it easy to revisit wrong questions
3) Every feature is available via iPad apps - the idiom flashcard app was most helpful

Areas for improvement:
1) Bigger question bank for hard / very hard questions - I did all of my practice sessions in "adaptive" difficulty, and found myself mostly working through easy / medium questions in my last week of prep
2) I didn't find a few explanations very convincing (especially in harder CR / DS questions)
3) A few quant questions are slightly poorly worded / misleading - but imo less so than other providers

A product that will provide you with all of the information and challenging problems you need in order to get a 700+ score. I condensed the basic 3-month study plan into a 2 month program. The study guides themselves are very helpful and keep you organized and on pace. Magoosh also recommends using other services, I did not use the MGMAT books or practice test they recommended, but did buy the OG. The lessons are great for building the basic blocks and I would strongly recommend using them. Of course, the video explanations are invaluable. When I had taken the two practice test provided by GMATPrep, I scored a 630 and 660. Magoosh is ideal for someone who can manage their own study time and stay motivated/focus to do well on the GMAT without the assistance of a tutor or large sunk cost.

I purchased the Magoosh program when all I knew about the GMAT is that I needed to take it. The reviews and value of Magoosh I found online really caught my eye and thought it would be worth a shot before I take my first attempt at the GMAT. I went through the entire course and took time working on all the problems and watching how the solution videos got to the answers and if they were more optimal than mine even if i got it right. I love the way that they help you think outside the memorization of formulas and really break down number sense and how it can apply across the test. In the end I was able to surprise myself and scored my target score on the first attempt with 3 months of intense Magoosh study. I would recommend the program to anyone starting out as it worked wonders taking me from completely clueless to 650 in a short amount of time.

It contains all the materials that took me from very bad(seriously like below 500) to 730.

The lessons are easy to follow, with a quiz after.

The only issue I have is that there is not enough 700++ questions. So once you get to that level (and believe me you will), its very easy to run out of questions (because their answers are very good)

The video explanations were great. In the GMAT Official Guide the answer explanations can be short and confusing, but each practice question on Magoosh comes with a 2-3 minute video that clearly explains the logic to get to the correct answer.

Magoosh was crucial to my success in GMAT. Magoosh video lessons and video answers to practice questions cleared all the concepts aptly and helped me in understanding my mistakes. Practice questions are similar to actual GMAT questions. Magoosh completely understands GMAT and helps students in the best possible manner.

I signed up for the GMAT with a bit of short notice. I had only 7 weeks to prepare for the exam, and many of the topics covered on the exam were ones that I hadn't seen in years. I took the initial diagnostic test from mba.com and scored a 640. It's not a bad score, but it's not a score that I was happy with either. I scored pitifully in math (41st percentile). I instantly started looking for online prep courses and found that many people were recommending Magoosh. They were right to do so!

Over the course of 7 weeks, I did upwards of 1000 practice problems, spending about 2 hours each day working on (mostly math) problems. I watched almost all of the math lessons, and a good chunk of the verbal lessons as well. The test date came up quick, and a practice test that I took on Magoosh's website indicated I was going to score around 650, a marginal improvement at best. However, I felt that I had covered so much ground over the course of my studying, so I didn't stress it too much.

Test day comes up, and I found that I was able to answer many questions with relative ease. I ended up scoring a 710 (47Q/41V), which I was ecstatic about. Magoosh's problems were more difficult than the test's problems, and this helped immensely when test day came. I truly cannot recommend the service enough, they are excellent at what they do, and while everyone's results may not be as good as mine, a motivated individual can go pretty far using this as a resource.

Arguably, having a video explanation for every single question makes Magoosh the best offer for its price point. While in a perfect world it could use a larger question bank to review with, having each question clearly and concisely explained was immensely helpful in achieving the goal I set out for. Overall, it's absolutely a worthwhile buy in reviewing for the GMAT.

I work in consulting and have a very hectic schedule, so study for the GMAT was falling through the cracks. I just needed to boost my score up a bit and Magoosh was perfect for that. I have no doubt that I could have scored even better if I spent more time on the platform, but am more than happy with my score (+700).

I completed the official GMAT guide before starting Magoosh. Although the official verbal questions are more similar to the actual test, Magoosh's verbal practice is much harder than anything you will face on the real exam. The videos are great at explaining concepts and how to tackle different question types, and the flexibility of learning on your own is much better than taking an expensive course!

I gave GMAT with less than a months preparation and Magoosh made it possible with its month plan which I followed religiously. I was bad at verbal like most other engineers out there. I focused very little on the Quant part because I was consistently scoring 50-51 on the practice tests. I started with the verbal from the Official guide and the Magoosh question set. I took several 31 question quizzes for verbal at the same time as my exam because that helped me get into the exam mode everyday so tat when the test day arrives , I don't find it difficult to Focus. For the rest of the day, I used to review the question that i did incorrectly and see where I was lacking. There is no substitute to review. Unless you see why you were wrong, you won't improve no matter how many questions you practice. Magoosh video explanations are incomparable with any other resource out there. if you follow the 1month/3 month plan, you can rest assured that you will see a minimum 50 point score improvement.

I completed the full book's worth of practice problems in the Official GMAT Guide before starting Magoosh. While the official guide may be more similar to actual test questions, Magoosh is more challenging and has much better explanations for how to get the answer using the right method.

The lessons are tremendous, and explain the key principles and how to apply them in a coherent, straightforward way. If you took a class, you would be stuck at the group's pace, but the lessons allow you to really hone in on your personalized area for improvement.

Let me start by saying I didn't even know calculators weren't allowed during the test and that a max score is 800. I was not ready for the GMAT, to say the least. Thankfully, Magoosh provides (almost excruciatingly, but necessarily) detailed videos covering all the material you need to know for the GMAT. With the Premium Course, they also provide practice tests and over 800 practice questions, which is what probably helped me the most! They also cover great tips to do quick mental math (ex. doubling and halving). My only regrets are waiting to take their practice exams and not leaving more time to review before my test date. Overall, Magoosh is great for starting from 0 and reaching a score you want!

The lessons were very effective and were a great refresher, especially for the math section. The self pacing of the prep was also very nice!

Magoosh was a great resource with helpful videos of the official guide questions. I decided to prep for the GMAT in 2014 on a whim and this was the first source I used before the official guide. I used it throughout my multiple retakes and was able to reach my target score of 730. I really enjoyed using the user interface and solving all of the practice questions that are similar to the official GMAC format that you will see on the test date. It was not my own source, and I would recommend getting more than one prep source, but it was definitely a great complementary tool in my test prep toolkit

Magoosh was the only study material I used when preparing for the GMAT. I scored a 760!!! My target score was a 700. My Magoosh practice test score was a 670. The Magoosh problems were actually a bit tougher than the problems I encountered on the test, and that really helped to push me to master the concepts necessary to do well.

I can honestly say that I have never been a great standardized test taker. So when I decided I was going back to school to get my MBA, I knew that the GMAT would be my hardest feat. And this was further proven when I took the test the first time. I had a deadline to meet to qualify for a pre-MBA Program and did not have much time to meet it. So I read about Magoosh and read all of the wonderful reviews about the program and decided I should try it. I did the one month study plan (definitely modified but completed all required Magoosh material) and I can say it was all worth it. My score increased 120 points in a short time span. I am still not where I want to be, but now that I have qualified for my program, I plan to review the Magoosh material and do the 3 month study plan (all material included) to get to the score I truly desire. But I would recommend this program to anybody. Especially if you are a visual learner, but don't really have the time to sit in a 3-4 hour weekly prep class (I'm an Engineer in Oil & Gas so time is of the essence). You definitely have to be self motivated, as you are responsible for your progress and the knowledge learned, but I cannot say enough great things about Magoosh. Take from someone who absolutely HATES standardized tests. This will definitely help you well on your way to greatness on the GMAT!

Magoosh's video lessons were incredibly helpful in my preparation for my GMAT. The math videos allowed me to refresh on concepts that I haven't visited since highschool being in an arts undergrad program, and helped me to pass my goal score. My initial practice test were estimating a score of 610, with a very poor quantitative score of 37. After my actual test I came out with 45 in Quant and 40 in Verbal for a total score of 700. I really liked the videos that were linked after each practice question to further strengthen knowledge, and I found the practice questions to be very similar to the actual GMAT. I did, however, find the quantitative questions slightly harder than what I saw on the actual test, with Magoosh's software estimating my score significantly lower than what I received on test day. I used Magoosh primarily in my studying and near test day also began using the official GMAT prep guide to do more practice questions. I highly recommend using these videos in your preparation rather than reading from a book, and using it in combination with the CAT GMATPrep tests you are given access to when you register for your exam. I found that score from the GMATPrep to be very accurate in comparison to my final score, so using them in combination with Magoosh will give you a great idea of where you stand.

I couldn't be happier with the Magoosh course. I used mostly the maths video lessons and practice questions and managed to get 80 points more in comparison to a practice test I took only 3 weeks before my actual exam. It is a great resource and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone willing to significantly increase their score in a very short period of time.

I started using Magoosh about three months before taking the GMAT, and I am thrilled with the results! I hadn't done any sort of math over 4.5 years of professional experience following my undergraduate studies. I don't have a pre-Magoosh score because I never made it through the first practice exam. I had NO IDEA how to answer almost ANY of the math problems. Mike came to the rescue! His videos explain everything you need to know to be successful on the exam, and nothing that you don't. He even explains along the lines of "this topic gets complicated if you dive in more deeply, but it won't be on the test, so don't bother!"

It's not just video lessons, Mike and his team provide video solutions to every single practice problem. On the message boards, you can find more solutions to official guide questions. Text explanations are often very hard to follow and can cause headaches (especially in the official guide) but the videos walk you through each problem step by step, and REALLY make a difference.

The best part is, it's not an expensive class! Magoosh is a steal compared to many in-person classes that charge four figures to attend. In classes like those, you're stuck with the course. Magoosh allows you to replay lessons on difficult topics and rewind videos to make sure an idea sinks in. In conjunction with the suggested study schedule, I believe this is far superior GMAT trainer, and WILL raise you score bigtime!

Prior to starting with Magoosh, I took practice tests and my highest score was 570. I signed up for a free one-week GMAT prep with Magoosh and was stunned by the level of detail in the few explanation videos I had access to. So I decided to sign up for the premium package which covers all the math topics encountered in the GMAT Quant section. There are hundreds of practice problems ranging from easy questions to very difficult ones, and a timer helps you keep track of your pace. For every practice problem, there is a video explaining how to arrive at the correct answer. There are also dozens and dozens of video lessons that provide a thorough understanding of all the concepts. I kept watching the video lessons and practicing questions and I probably went through more than a hundred sheets of paper doing practice questions! The Verbal Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning and Analytical Writing lessons are also very thorough; however, I focused more on Quant because of my limited time. On test day I made sure to choose Option 3, which has the Quant section first, followed by Verbal, then IR, and, lastly, AW. I was confident because I had not memorized a bunch of formulas, rather, I understood the concepts and was able to answer questions using different approaches and still arrive at the same answer. Thank you Magoosh!

My tutor actually recommended Magoosh as a supplemental prep resource. I cannot emphasize just how helpful and integral Magoosh was in my Quant prep. For context, I scored in the mid 500s on my very first diagnostic test. My Quant score was miserable and I desperately needed help improving in this area. My amazing tutor brought me up to speed, but told me to keep drilling with problems out of the OG Guide and Magoosh. There are tons of problems in the Magoosh questions so you'll never feel like you're running out. Every problem comes with a video and text explanation which are extremely helpful when you just aren't getting it. You can even filter problems by difficulty and flag ones you want to come back to, or re-do problems that you got incorrect. The interface is very user friendly which makes for a much more enjoyable prep experience. I've seen other online prep resources that seemed way too unorganized or hard to read that it deterred me from wanting to drill problems continuously.

Fast forward to last week, I took the real thing and scored a 690 (Q47)! This is the highest that I scored on any of my practice tests, and specifically on Quant. Considering where I was before I started prepping, this was truly a dream score for me. I could not have asked for a better result and absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to up their Quant game.

When I was shopping around for various GMAT Prep courses, I was disappointed at how expensive all of the packages were. But a friend of mine who scored 700 on his GMATs strongly recommended Magoosh along with the GMAT Official Guide, which totaled about 25% of the costs of other leading brands.

I was blown away. On the blog, there are tips and (most importantly for me) different study schedules that you can select. I picked and held to a study schedule, and it prepared me for the exam right on time.

The practice problems were most helpful for my study style. After I watched the teaching videos and went through the entire question bank, I started taking 20-question quizzes and watching the videos following each question to understand why I got the question wrong or what shortcuts I could have taken if I had got the question right.

Magoosh's content, study schedules, flashcards, and easy-to-navigate site were SO helpful during my GMAT prep. I began studying for the GMAT in mid-September and spent about 2 months studying before taking the test on November 16. When I took the initial diagnostic tests, I scored a 710 - I would have been happy if that had been my final score, but I wanted to gain some confidence through additional prep and practice. I very loosely followed Magoosh's 12-week advanced GMAT study plan during the 8 weeks I devoted to studying (pro tip: skip some of the supplemental math materials; they're not nearly as helpful as Magoosh's questions).

I also liked that I always had access to Magoosh. I didn't need to lug around a heavy textbook - I could just login when I had a free moment to solve a few problems.

Magoosh has great content that you will enjoy while you prepare for the GMAT. I bet that there is no other product that offers such quality material as Magoosh does at a better price. Mike is amazing! I am a big fan of Mike and I love the way he teaches both Math and Verbal concepts. He emphasizes on understanding the basics, knowing multiple ways to solve a problem so that you understand the topic more deeply, and not applying--sometimes even knowing --the formulae without understanding the core concept behind them. Magoosh also provides many other apps such as Flash cards for Idioms, Mental Maths, Math etc., You will benefit a lot from these apps if you spend just 15 minutes everyday. Moreover, Magoosh offers many freebies such as the idiom e-book, blogs, some apps, and my favorites Magoosh study schedule and book recommendations.

I had never even taken a practice test when I began the Magoosh program six weeks before my scheduled GMAT. I followed their four-week daily guide, which worked very well for me. Their video lessons are comprehensive and got me familiar and comfortable with all of the material and strategies I needed to succeed. The math lessons were particularly helpful. Their practice questions are hard and there are lots of them. I found them to be a bit harder than the questions in the Official Guide and also those on the actual test, which was great getting me as prepared as possible.

If you are looking for a self paced course then this is the best option out there. The lesson videos easily break the material into 5-10 minute clips that make the content seem very manageable. They also provides 3 month lesson plans that break down what you should review each day to complete the content. This is very helpful for holding yourself accountable. One of the most valuable tools is that each of their online practice questions has an answer video that will walk you through the problem. They also have links to related lesson plans which makes it easier to pinpoint the areas that you need to review.

I purchased the Magoosh Premium program. I had heard from a friend that it was an essential study help and that it was extremely affordable. With that background I pulled the trigger and got started. I had less than two months to study (and my wife was pregnant, which didn't make things easier). I watched all of the Quantitative videos and did about 400 practice questions on Magoosh. When I took my first practice GMAT exam I scored a 590, with verbal in the 90th percentile and quant in the 30th percentile... I obviously needed to focus on the quantitative section. After my many hours of study, I ended up with a 46 on quant, which was amazing for me. My final score was a 690. I'm certain that I couldn't have done it without Magoosh.

magoosh video lessons are best. All the GMAT topics are covered wonderfully! Also the OG video solution for maths came in handy. The practice questions helped me a lot in finding out my weak areas. At the end of each session, it also suggested me some video lessons that helped me improving specific areas.
Another thing that really impressed me was their prompt response to my queries, be it related to specific questions or GMAT as a whole. Magoosh played a very important role in my GMAT preparation.

I thought this was a great program. I am many years out of undergrad, and was overwhelmed with re-learning the math to take the GMAT. I thought I was pretty much hopeless, but the videos, flashcards, study schedule, and huge supply of practice questions helped me get back up to speed. I'm really happy with my score and I'm glad that I invested in the Magoosh program.

After taking the GMAT once and doing very poorly on it, I knew that I needed to improve my score by at least 50-80 points. With Magoosh, I improved my score by 140 points. This not only restored a sense of confidence in my abilities, but it also made me realize how beneficial Magoosh was for me. I hadn't taken a math class since high school, so every single math lesson video was a refresher course and re-taught me all the pesky rules I had forgotten about that had previously tripped me up in my earlier GMAT prep. I was decent at verbal in the first place, but I always got extremely frustrated with critical reasoning questions. The Magoosh videos and hundreds of practice problems finally made me understand what the critical reasoning questions were looking for. By the time I took the test again, I felt like every Quant and Verbal practice question I had seen in Magoosh, even the medium ones, were harder than any question I saw on my real GMAT. Additionally, as a broke undergrad, the $120 I paid for a yearlong premium subscription seemed like pocket change for what I got in return for using the program. You seriously cannot beat 100+ lesson videos and hundreds of adaptive and well-explained practice questions. To sum up my experience with Magoosh, I'll leave a list of pros and cons.

-Critical reasoning question explanations were extremely thourough
-Reading comprehension passages were way harder than anything I saw on the real thing

If you're shooting for admission to public, mid-tier state school specialized masters programs and a goal score of 700 or less, you seriously cannot go wrong with Magoosh.

My career has been in politics. I'm 32, and the last math class I took was in high school (college Calculus in 2004).

I began studying for the GMAT about 2 years ago (Fall of 2015), as time allowed. I knew that I was going to be applying for matriculation to business school in the Fall of 2018. I bought the 2016 Official GMAT Guide, and began working through it slowly but surely.

Fast forward to November 2016, when I began studying in earnest. I'd take a few hours every weekend, and work through an amount of problems roughly equal to the GMAT, with the distribution of question types roughly even to that on the GMAT, as best as I could engineer. I really struggled, but figured it was because I hadn't taken a math class in over a decade, and, as a fairly bright guy, assumed it would come back to me with practice.

Fast forward again to the Spring of 2017. I had signed up for the actual test (August 2017). I was studying pretty much every day at that point, all on my own. I found myself making the same mistakes over and over, and really hitting a wall as far as my improvement and progress. After what can only be described as a nervous breakdown (I'm KIND of kidding), I began to look into 12 week prep courses. Because of my schedule, I determined I couldn't do a traditional prep course (Manhattan, Kaplan, etc) because I couldn't guarantee I could carve out a three-hour window on "x-night" every week for 12 weeks. I then began looking at online prep courses, and came across Magoosh. After reading some extremely positive reviews, and determining that the price was certainly right, I signed up for Magoosh.

I can unequivocally state that signing up for Magoosh was the best decision I made in the GMAT prep process. There is nothing I didn't like about Magoosh. I used the 3-month study plan for advanced students (I knew I needed an elite score - 700+). While demanding, the study plan forced me to keep myself accountable, on track, and allowed me to really dedicate myself to the process. Beyond that, the online questions that Magoosh has are varied, completely customizable, and extremely helpful. The online videos, both for materials and for answers, really help you to understand the logic behind questions. The online help is responsive and insightful. The tools that Magoosh provides were absolutely amazing, and in many instances, prepare you for questions that are harder than anything you'll actually see on the GMAT.

But I think the most important thing about Magoosh is the central philosophy behind the product. The materials are not presented to teach you how to do (insert random skill here). The materials are prepared so you learn the logic behind the problems. As anyone who has taken the GMAT will tell you - the test does not test your math and english knowledge as much as it tests your ability to understand the logic behind the questions. The test is about figuring out the problems, not about answering them.

I had taken one practice test right before signing up for Magoosh and scored a 610 (Q: 40, V: 34, IR: 6, AWA: 4.5).

After more than 12 weeks of using Magoosh, I scored a 760 (Q:50, V:42, IR: 8, AWA: 6).

I'm fully confident I'd not have been able to crack 700 without Magoosh. Hopefully, I never have to take a standardized test again, but if I do, Magoosh is the first place I'll turn. I'll recommend Magoosh to anyone I encounter in the future who is studying for a standardized test.

The one thing I will "warn" people considering signing up for Magoosh about is that it forces you to hold yourself accountable. If you are one that has trouble getting motivated, and really needs a presence forcing you to do what you need to do, Magoosh is likely not the product for you. If you will do better reporting to a teacher, and being assigned homework, look at one of the more traditional prep courses. But if you are able to keep yourself motivated, to force yourself to do the work, and to keep yourself driven, you don't need to look any further than Magoosh.

I sat for the Gmat and scored 660 Q47 V34. I can definitely say that my Q47 is a product of Magoosh preparation since i didn't use any other products or books, not even the OG. Mike McGarry and his team have put a great product out there-designed, in my opinion for 660-700 level score targets. They don't have many super hard questions of the level 700-800 that you will see on the gmat if you are striving for a Q51 but, you probably don't need them. To be honest, there are questions of this level, but only in a small number, in my opinion not adequate to get the elusive Q51. If you want a 660 with a low cost, go for Magoosh. The Verbal part is renowned also.

The course has 1 year subscription for a small amount of money while other prep companies ask a lot of money for only a fraction of this time.

The Magoosh team is always there to resolve any queries with a lot of effort. Other prep companies answer very sparingly. Magoosh instructors may write 1-2 pages to help you with only one question.

The question bank is well inspired as it helps you build the quizzes you want and the analysis helps you home in on your weaknesses and Beat Them!

One thing that could make the course better is the number of questions. If the team adds some more questions (i myself like to practice a lot ) the product will be amazing.

Overall, this course provides a great ROI and i highly recommend it. Anyone out there trying to study all alone with only free resources no matter how poor you are, find a promotion of Magoosh and buy it. You will remember me.

The course was really good!!

The videos were really good and comprehensive. The instructors were very well versed, witty and made the classes really interesting. And a special mention to the video explanations of the questions which really helped me understand the questions and where I went wrong.

The question bank which Magoosh is really really thorough and encompasses almost every single type of question you can think of. Sorting through types of questions and the topics from which they come from helped me to understand which topics needed more concentration

All in all, the course helped me get a 720 ( Q 49, V 39) on my first attempt and I would recommend this course wholeheartedly to everyone who wants to prepare for GMAT.

The course was absolutely amazing. While the video lessons were fantastic, it was the detailed video explainations of the comprehensive question bank that truly made Magoosh crucial to my prep. I did also greatly appreciate the videos on what to expect on the test day, tips for before the test day and also on how to answer the essay question.

While I did do all the GmatPrep tests as well as the Official Guide questions, Magoosh helped provide me with a strong foundation, especially in quant. However, in all honesty, I believe that they need to fix up the score predictor as, atleast in my case, it was quite off.

That minor issue aside, I would strongly recommend this course as it helped me score a 730 (Q47 V42) on my very first attempt!

The Magoosh platform is simply amazing. The video lessons explain every topic that could possibly be covered on the GMAT, complete with tips on what the GMAT test makers are thinking and tricks on how to approach seemingly complex problems. There are tons of practice problems that you can create custom practice sets with, with the ability to select which topics, what difficulty level, how many problems, etc. each time. The absolute best part is the fact that they have video explanations for every single practice question. I watched the video for every problem that I got wrong or guessed on or was unsure of in some way and it helped me learn way faster than trying to read text explanations for everything. I started my Magoosh Premium subscription after taking the GMATFree practice tests and 5.5 weeks later I went from a 670 to a 730. I definitely recommend it!!

My favorite resource from Magoosh is the video explanation of each question in the question bank. I think that this really helped me develop the right approach to questions. I found it helpful to see someone work through the questions step by step when I was lost.
If you are willing to take the time to work through the lessons and question bank then you will see the benefit, but you will have to hold yourself accountable. It is easy to get off track from a study plan if you are not disciplined.
Overall I would definitely recommend Magoosh fr anyone looking for a self study plan.

I subscribed to Magoosh about one month before my GMAT date and used only their site (and flashcards app on iPhone) to prepare, and I was very very happy with my experience! The platform is extremely easy to use and the lessons are SUPER helpful- both quantitive and verbal. What I found most helpful was that after doing practice tests (or just any practice question) on Magoosh, instead of only seeing the correct answer, they have individual videos for each question that explain how the correct answer was obtained and why the others were wrong. Also, they give you very in-depth statistics about your performance, like what specific topics you are best and worst at, linking you to videos that deal with these topics specifically. Overall I am very very happy I used Magoosh and thankful this platform is so well done!!

I'd first and foremost like to thank Magoosh for delivering such a high quality product at such a fair price. As the title suggests, I went from having never heard of the GMAT to sitting it today in 7 weeks, whilst working a full-time job and getting 720. From my first practice test in the low-mid 600's five weeks ago, just before I signed up to Magoosh, todayrepresented a good 70/80 point improvement (despite my Quant not being as good as expected because of my own nerves/concentration lapses and no fault of Magoosh).

For somebody in my position, who is self-motivated, Magoosh is the perfect product and here is why:
- Excellent quality of resources - Mike McGarry's tutelage for the Quant was exceptional. The content is always snappy and no frills. If you are realistic about where you need to give yourself help, the video bank has you covered. I can't say as much for the Verbal because I didn't use it very much, taking the approach that Quant is where I needed improvement and basically free-styled the Verbal for lack of a better term.
- Fantastic customer service - all of my interactions with the product and its team have been very positive. There is a great array of resources, with the blog, the phone apps, etc. Also, the product feels very positive to use and the atmosphere is friendly. There will no doubt be bad and good days and I found it easy to pick myself back up on Magoosh, knowing I'd be back listening to Mike.
- Very decent question bank - enough said, but it did the job for the period of time I had.
- Great value - clearly $150 is an absolute bargain. In comparison with The Economist's app at ?500 for 3 months (an app which I was not thrilled by trialling), I think there is little doubt that this is hands down the best value for money out there.

Overall, a very valuable product. I should caveat, however, that I am somebody who is self-disciplined and also good at self-diagnosing where I need help with things. One thing I would say is that Magoosh is what you make of it, and whilst it gave me every tool I needed, I'd suggest everybody thinks about what they need when selecting a service. If you need a more full-on GMAT course, I'd recommend thinking about how best to integrate Magoosh into your arsenal, but, at its price and with the content and resources it has, I can't see how you can go wrong with buying the Premium Prep course.

Magooh helped me build core grammatical concepts, that helped me solve SC question. The free idiom book is an asset given to those who are preparing for GMAT. No course explained idioms in such a lucid way.
Though, I am strong in quant, I went through the videos of quant and solving the same question becomes easier after watching videos of magoosh. I especially like videos of P&C and probability very much. One thing I can simply say about magooh is that no test prep company on this planet can give such a good course at such a price.

Magoosh was an absolute godsend for my GMAT preparation.

Before I heard of Magoosh I reckoned that I could get by purely based on practicing questions from the OG, but that's not nearly enough to score in top 10%. To get a 700+ score you need lessons, and lots of them.

Most importantly you need quality practice questions done ON A COMPUTER! You can't simply practice off a book because the experience is complete different. You need to get used to computer adaptive testing and looking up and down from the screen to your scratchpad and back.

Magoosh is great for this because:
1) Math lessons are succint and provide numerous shortcuts
2) Math practice problems are considerably harder than those on the actual exam. This lets you get acclimatized to the intensity and the requirements of the GMAT exam
3) Every single practice question has an answer video with detailed explanations behind it
4) Magoosh support replies within one day and answers any questions in a detailed manner

All of these combined for the relatively low price of 100-200$ is nothing short of magical.

Magoosh is a fantastic tool for someone who's looking to avoid the classroom (and the classroom cost) but wants effective and efficient training. I studied for 3 months with Magoosh, and was able to hit my target score on my first attempt. My approach was to try and cover as much as possible within the 3 months, and I firmly believe that if I had another month/took the test again, I could have done even better. In addition to the tools and videos, Magoosh's customer service is bar none. I would send questions around 12 am EST and would wake up at 6 EST to answers. Would recommend 10x over.

I only had 1 month until I re-sat my exam and I'm so glad I leaned on Magoosh for that intense 30 day study. The video explanations for each problem helped me to change the way I approached problems... I felt like I could hear Mike McGarry's voice walking me through the answer choices on the day of the exam!

Albeit I'm still not at my ideal score, I'd say a 30 point jump in just 30 days of unsupervised study was pretty impressive. I look forward to studying even more and working harder for my third attempt at the GMAT!

I started learning GMAT at Magoosh five months ago and I am extremely satisfied with not only the in-depth explaination provided by the Tutor but also the support from staff when i encountered any problems. I took magoosh premium gmat premium 2 months ago.The tutorials are of immense help for a newbie.Even before you start solving problems,I advise to go through the full tutorials at least twice.Once do with was in a very solid ground.the problem s are quite exhaustive and the videos provide enough materials to understand the problem in detail.I only used magoosh for a month and then also started with beat the gnat forum.Thr gmat blogs are one of the best available materials online.For a beginner ,I will surely recommend it.

The cost is attractive and its worth every cent. The course has math videos by Mike McGarry ( who also writes the Magoosh GMat Blog - very good) The videos are topic wise and short, to the point with examples. I'd say go through a video once and try some problems. The second time you go through the video you'll pick up on finer points. Mike is a great teacher and I loved Math. He shares "Big Ideas" in the video for advanced topics like numbers and these Ideas once understood can make doing 700 level questions a matter of seconds.
The SC section is excellent and better to do SC with Magoosh and outside practice questions than Manhattan prep. I did CR via Powerscore CR Bible so I don't comment on Magoosh CR but if you have shortage of time I say its ok. RC I saw videos and they are good but I didnt use RC as I am confident of RC.
All in all its a great tool. They have a lot of articles that talk about your prep. The two practice tests gaged my level - I got 700 in one and 760 in the second. The explanations are there to all questions on magoosh - video and text with alternate explanations. They have around thousand practice questions for Math an Verbal and the Important thing is that each question tests you. so i suggest watch the explanation even if you get it right.
The idea is to chill in your gmat rep and Magoosh takes it so. Overloading with questions that can be redundant is just a waste in my opinion so try Magoosh u'll find their to the point in their prep strategy. They give you what you need and want and don't waste your stamina.
Also go through the Magoosh blog in case of being stuck in any topic like ratio and proportion they have a great way of teaching.

Magoosh is a great tool, especially for someone who has never taken the GMAT before. I had not taken formal math or english courses since high school (Biology major), but Magoosh made it easy to learn the basics that eventually led to more advanced understanding.

The first practice test I took was a 550, but after studying Magoosh for six months (using their six-month study plan), I was able to bring my practice test score up to a 650, which was 30 points away from my 680 goal. Although this cannot be proven, I believe that the Magoosh practice tests were harder than the actual GMAT. At no point during my actual GMAT, did I feel like the questions were harder than the Magoosh questions. This greatly enhanced my confidence and led to my eventual 720 score.

For those considering Magoosh, my only recommendation is to stick to a study plan. The independent study nature of Magoosh can make it difficult to remain diligent in your preparation. If you stick to a plan and have a clear goal, then you will succeed.

I followed the "3 Month GMAT Study Schedule for Advanced Students" offered by Magoosh. The study schedule was very intense, but eventually paid off. I found the question bank and lesson plan offered by Magoosh to be very strong and helpful for improving my math score significantly. However, some of the "very hard" math questions are well beyond what you would expect to see on the GMAT.

It was a great basic course overall. Covered most of the material to prepare for the test. Comes at an economical price when compared with other sources, which can almost break the bank. Highly recommended for any one who is beginning their GMAT prep

The videos were incredibly informative, and were much more interactive than textbook reading or other GMAT videos. Extremely thorough questions that were similar to the regular GMAT (particularly the Quant Section). A must for any exam taker who wants to take an online self-directed course.

Best of all, incredibly responsive staff - received help with my questions (via email) very rapidly with thorough explanations.

No better bang for your buck!

Magoosh was a very good study tool for me. While the actual videos lessons were a little slow for my taste, the practice question sets were invaluable. I did all hard / very hard questions on both quant and verbal by the time I had finished, and significantly boosted my very first practice test score (~640) to a 740 on the actual GMAT. The explanations given at the end of each practice question significantly enhance the overall experience for me.

There is no other program that provides comprehensive study materials at such a reasonable price. Magoosh provides detailed lessons, realistic questions, and thorough explanations for every concept tested on the GMAT. I especially found the study guides and adaptive question mode helpful in preparing for my test. I would not have scored as well as I did without Magoosh. And I'm convinced that I would not find a comparable program for the same price.

Great videos on how to deconstruct DS and CR questions, in addition to creative methods around solving all types of questions. I really sharpened my approach to the exam thanks to Magoosh!

This is the best. I would have happily paid the amount I paid for Kaplan or Economist for this course. It blows them away. Here's why:

1) Way more video lessons! This has like 3-4 times the video lessons and covers far more categories. So useful. It touches upon everything

2) Quizzes: It quizzes you after lessons

3) Question bank: Solid question bank! Does not have as many questions as Kaplan but has over 800 and they're very good.

Out of the 3-4 prep courses I've purchased, this and gmatprepnow are the two I'm most happy with.

After a very disappointing first GMAT exam (410) a colleague recommended Magoosh. Although I was a bit skeptic, I was blown away right from the first video lesson I watched. Magoosh helped me exactly the way I needed. The materials were discussed from the very basics to the most difficult questions, and as such it all started to make sense to me. I did not had to memorise any formula's anymore and felt more confident every day! Besides that, I laughed a lot during my studies as all teachers (from math to verbal) were very pleasant to listen to, and funny! As a result, I improved 200 points up to 610. (Side note: Magoosh helped me improve my Verbal score from 13 to 36!) I have recommended Magoosh to tens of people already and will definitely continue to do so in the future. Magoosh was the most valuable investment in my GMAT preparation! (And I wished so so so so badly that I had known about Magoosh from the very beginning of my GMAT studies....! .....Thank you Magoosh!

I took a course offered by a local college, and this course blew it out of the water. The amount of detail they go into in all the blog posts, videos, and answer explanations will give you more than enough material to master the test. I found the essay videos particularly helpful, since I had no idea where to begin. At first I started with the 3 month study guide, which I found to be particularly intense for someone with a full-time job. Eventually I ended up coming up with my own plan which focused on the areas I was struggling with in my practice tests. I do recommend getting a Manhattan Prep book as well- which Magoosh recommended for the additional 7 practice tests. Another note- the founder of Magoosh seems like a really passionate, personable dude. It is clear he really wants you to succeed. Thank you to Magoosh for all the help. It was definitely my most valuable investment in my preparation for the GMAT.

I have used the Magoosh Premium Course in order to retake the GMAT approximately 2 months after my first try. With Magoosh, I have been able to focus especially on the verbal part. In particular the SC videos are very well organised with good content. The examples are well chosen and the explanations are very easy to grasp. I also very much appreciated that you can actually pick the topic you want to work on. The transparent overview of all topics allowed me to efficiently chose the right topics for my practice. Within 3 weeks, I have managed to improve my verbal score from 23 to 35.
With regards to the Quant part of the GMAT, I also improved my overall score from 37 to 46. Here, I also appreciated the very convenient and transparent overview of all courses and the excellent content of the videos explaining the theory.
An additional aspect I also really liked while studying with Magoosh was the responsiveness in case I had any questions. After submitting my question, I usually received a convenient answer within the next 24 hours.

Overall, I have nothing negative to say about Magoosh. Something to consider when looking for a course is the fact that all content can be learned via videos. This way off teaching is very appealing to me and helped me to understand and grasp all concepts faster.

After a disappointing second GMAT attempt, I signed up for Magoosh Premium Prep. I followed the Advanced 3 Month Study Plan (with a full time job it took me 5 months). Magoosh provided a structured study approach and high quality resources. I am a visual learner, so the online lessons and detailed explanations of each question were very valuable. It was easy to see where I needed to focus my prep and the online platform helped to facilitate targeted and productive studying. I loved that I could email the team at Magoosh with a question about an Official Guide problem and would hear back within 12 hours (often faster). The actual GMAT was a piece of cake compared to the practice tests and questions I had done. I highly recommend Magoosh. I wish I had discovered it sooner!

Magoosh was by far the best prep material for my study style. I am a visual learner, so their instructional videos made the learning process significantly easier. The videos specifically for problem solving made understanding patterns much easier and helped raise my practice Q score from 43 to 49 on test day. I would highly recommend Magoosh to anyone prepping for the GMAT, especially students who are visual learners.

Magoosh provides very flexible way of getting done. juggling with a full time job, i couldnt attend normal prep classes like many other people. Magoosh gave me the option to study at night. In only about 1 month of prep-ing i got the score that i can be happy with.

I'm not typically one to write reviews - but I genuinely have nothing but good things to say about Magoosh. As a student that had been out of post-secondary for 6+ years, I had a lot of catching up to do, especially when it came to my quantitative skills.

On the first official GMAT practice test I took (December 2016), I got a 500. Needless to say, I was worried. After reading some reviews, I decided to go with Magoosh as my study tool and it really worked for me. All the video lessons were so helpful. Not only was the teacher excellent, but the fact that you did practice questions in the middle of the video (which were then taken up), was great. Also, the 1.5x speed option was fantastic, allowed me to get more in, in a shorter period of time, while still being able to keep up.

I wrote my official GMAT yesterday (April 2017) and got a 710. A huge improvement, in large part to the teaching that Magoosh exposed me to (alongside lots of commitment, of course - nothing comes for free!).

As a side note, Magoosh also has great customer support. I had to get in touch with them twice, and they were very quick to respond.

I was extremely happy with the GMAT preparation I received from Magoosh. I had about a month and a half to prepare starting from nothing. The first practice test I took I received a 540. I structured my studying such that I tried to watch the entire set of video lessons in each topic one day at a time, then doing an additional 10-15 practice problems if I had time. The lessons were thorough, and they stressed just the right points to maximize my time and effort. I believe that the questions on Magoosh were reasonably more difficult than the actual GMAT questions, so I would absolutely recommend using Magoosh to prepare. By studying for a solid month, watching each video, doing three practice exams in total, and doing about 200 total questions from Magoosh, I was well prepared and walked out of the exam with a 730. That score improvement of 540 to 730 was solely due to the preparation I received from Magoosh.

I used Magoosh as my only preparation for the GMAT, aside from a handful of books I purchased. I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to be competitive since I couldn't afford to take a $1000+ course. However, I found the resources Magoosh offered to extremely helpful and clear. I am naturally a verbal person, so I didn't use their verbal section, but I found quant section to be extremely challenging. The huge benefit of this service is that every single question has a video explanation, and often a text explanation with a different way of doing the problem, as well as links to relevant videos. The primary instructor, Mike McGarry, has a very clear writing style and was not only great at explaining how to do specific problems, but also at explaining entirely new ways of thinking. At his suggestion I started to develop "number sense," a concept I was previously unfamiliar with. Using this resource daily over about 6 months, I moved my quant score from the 40th percentile to the 87th percentile, and my overall score from a 630 to a 760. I was actually shocked by the score on test day - the highest that I got on a practice test was 710. But I was practicing with only "very hard" questions, so on the test itself I could not believe how easy it was.

If you're looking for an online GMAT study course, I can't recommend the Magoosh Premium Prep more highly. What I particularly like about the program is how easy it was for me to simply go into the program and practice at my own pace. I could customize my study plan and watch the video lessons that I needed to, skipping the ones where I already felt comfortable.

Before working with Magoosh, I had been studying with The Economist GMAT Tutor, which I also found really helpful. The difference between the two, however, comes down to overall value. With Magoosh, my access was for a full year, while I could only use The Economist GMAT Tutor for a few months. Magoosh's programs are also a fraction of the cost of similar online courses. I paid ~$700 for The Economist's program and only $100 for Magoosh's program.

The one thing I will note is that my practice test scores on Magoosh were consistently lower than what I was getting with The Economist GMAT Tutor. This was a positive result, since the low scores were a good nudge for me to keep studying and refining my strategy.

I signed up for Magoosh about a month and a half before my GMAT. I had just started studying but really needed something to keep me on track and make studying simple when I wasn't feeling up to the task of reading chapters in a book. The Magoosh video series was so easy to understand and the lessons are broken down into short videos varying from a couple of minutes to maybe fifteen minutes max. They were easy to start at any time and stop and the professors were easy to understand.

There were also about 1,200 questions provided for both Quant and Verbal sections combined and every question had an explanation. I paid $149 total for the online course and it was money well spent. I suggest you take this course for lessons and possibly supplement with outside questions and exams for more practice.

Magoosh was really helpful in making me look at problems from another perspective. People tend to underestimate the fact that 50% of the difficulty of the question consists in understanding what is actually being asked. Magoosh lessons, bot quant and verbal, put you on the right track to master question rephrasing. They help you understand what was the GMAC member thinking when writing the question and what capabilities are being testes. Moreover, the video explanations for every question are always really detailed, and they make you realize not only what was the mistake itself, but also the root of the mistake. So why did you make that mistake? What was your logical scheme that led to that misake? I'm not an english-native speaker, thus this kind of reasoning, of always going back to the root of the problem by backward reasoning, helped me a lot in mastering the Verbal part, where I scored 41, 7 points more than in the first attempt at GMAT.

In addition, Magoosh team was really helpful and available for any problem or technical issue arising during the course. Totally worth it!

I took the GMAT studying with friend's books for several months and got a 590, a score i felt was fair for the effort I put in. I spoke to some friends who were looking to go to grad school and who were scoring in the low to mid 600s. I was using a online tutor and she suggested that I check out Magoosh. As it turns out, I was already a member and had used their free week trial many months earlier. I upgraded to the premium and started from square one. Mike narrates most of the videos for math which was where I was looking to improve. The videos were simple to follow and not too long where I would lose focus. Magoosh's format is such that when I was at work and had a few minutes here and there I would be able to crank out a few problems or watch a video. Their app is also conducive for on-the-go learning. I took the GMAT after spending several months with Magoosh and scored a 650. A score which I am very happy with. I highly recommend Magoosh to anyone looking for that little something extra to help them study and for students who are on-the-go like I was.

The massive bank of questions with detailed explanation videos helped me really perfect my strategy and really master the material.

I would recommend Magoosh to anyone, great deal for the price point. Only qualm that I had with it was that it seemed to greatly decrease the scores on practice tests which was a bit discouraging! I got 680 and 710 on the GMAT Prep practice tests and 710 on actual test. On Magoosh practice tests I never broke 600! While this did frustrate me it also motivated me to study harder so maybe it's a pro for some!

Overall great product. Would recommend for anyone looking to improve their GMAT techniques and strategy.

Magoosh helped me considerably increase my score. The videos are very helpful and well explained. They have videos for everything you need to know for the GMAT. The customer service is great, they always answer very fast and they make sure you have the best experience with their website. This is a great affordable tool, I recommend it!

I took the GMAT 5 years ago with no studying and got a 620. When I decided to go back to get an MBA, I registered for Magoosh and began following their 6 month study schedule for people starting at square one. After three months I saw such massive improvements that I decided to take another practice test. I scored a 750 and a 760 on my practice tests and decided it was time to take the test. On the official GMAT I scored another 760. I absolutely attribute this 140 point increase to Magoosh. I probably finished less than half of their study plan, so can only imagine the improvement for someone with the time to complete the entire thing.

My first day of GMAT preparation I took one of the OG practice tests and scored a 610. From there I began studying with Magoosh following the 3-month beginner study plan. I found this to be too much to fit into my schedule - currently working full-time and the months fell over the holidays. I spread some of the material out over the course of a couple of days because I had a long runway before my exam date, but toward the end I resorted to self-guided video lessons, practice problems and flashcard review. This summed to around 8-10 hours of study per week.

Mike is amazing. Truly so smart and a great teacher. Watch as many of the video lessons as you can, even if by the title you assume you are already a whiz. The tips and tricks gained from these videos are priceless. The other teachers are great too, but he is the star.

One feature I really enjoyed was the score estimate calculator based on the practice problems completed in your profile. On the high end, Magoosh estimated my scores to be 39 for Math and 38 for Verbal. My exam scores ended up being a 42 in Math and a 38 in Verbal, which I was pleased with and made sense because my score estimate stemmed from my total bank of answered practice questions.

The flashcard apps were nice for while on the go, but I admittedly did not gain nearly as much from them as from the practice problems and videos. The vocabulary one was the most helpful.

For next time:
Yes, there is going to be a next time. While I was happy to see the score increase from my initial raw test results, I feel that if I dedicated time to the following I can increase my 650 to closer to my goal of 700. One mistake I made was always doing the practice problems in practice mode, which gave me the habit of having time between each question to watch the video lesson and regroup. On test day, this is not an option, and I felt pressed for time during the Math section.

tldr; Magoosh is amazing! Use all of the resources and you will gain a lot! Good luck!

I'm so pleased with how magoosh helped me prepare for the GMAT. I mostly only used the quant so that's all I can really comment on. I did the videos and worked through the example questions and then found myself doing really well on the practice questions. When I did the GMAT Prep practice tests, i found the lessons in magoosh easily applicable. The teacher was clear and easy to listen to and overall very easy to follow and comprehensive. After I had finished all the questions, I went back and redid all my incorrect ones. After doing this, i was well prepped for the exam and ended up scoring a 50 on quant.

Magoosh really set itself apart from other GMAT study tools. I used Magoosh to complement the Manhattan study tools. The Manhattan guides more basic and helped build a foundation, but didn't challenge me or help me learn more difficult concepts. I used both the Quant and the Verbal question banks and found the to far exceed my expectations. First of all, they were online and allowed you to easily access questions whenever and wherever you want. Second, the questions had a good range of difficulties and adjusted the difficulty as you do more problems to challenge you just enough to maximize your time and improvement. Third, and most importantly, Magoosh had, by far, the BEST explanations for question solutions. They had both a written explanation and a video explanation that was very thorough in walking you through the reasoning behind the answer. Importantly, they put it in simpler terms so you fully understand where you went wrong and why you got the question wrong. The most important part in studying for the GMAT isn't just doing questions or putting hours in. It is really analyzing your mistakes and trying to avoid making the same mistakes again. Magoosh has made that very, very easy.

Additionally, Magoosh's online software platform is by far the smoothest and user friendly. I highly recommend using Magoosh. My first practice test was a 650 and by the end I was scoring a 770 and 780 consistently.

This was my first time taking the GMAT. The prep materials I used were the 2016 Official Guide for 3 months + Magoosh Prep for the final month before my test date. I had done the 2016 Official Guide before, but was having difficulty retaining any information from doing the work in the textbook?the solutions were text heavy and difficult to read.

Magoosh's premium package had a question bank, practice tests, solution videos, and lessons for only $150, compared to Manhattan Prep's $1000. I found the solution videos particularly helpful because they walked me step-by-step through any problem that I had trouble with while explaining the general concept behind each answer, so I started to catch onto the patterns in the GMAT. I found the Magoosh Prep to be slightly harder in terms of Quant and Verbal than the real test, so when I actually took it, I had a +160 point difference than the anticipated score on Magoosh.

I only had a month for studying while working full-time as a consultant in the first three weeks. The impressive amount of study material provided by Magoosh with hundreds of explanations from Mike helped me so much to get my score, I couldn't have done it without Magoosh! They have so many video lessons, practice questions and even video explanations for every single practice question, too. I have to say that a month is not a lot of time to prepare for the GMAT, at least two more weeks or so would be good, so better take your time, but either way, it is definitely doable with Magoosh which is worth every cent!

I'm a screenwriter and have been out of college for 10 years. The last time I engaged in any serious math was in high school and English is not my native language, but Magoosh certainly helped me achieve 710 without breaking my bank while at the same time allowing me to practice on my own schedule. The lessons really gave me a strong sense of structure and build a solid foundation. Better yet the practice schedule really keeps me on track on my progress, on step at a time.

I had bought the official GMAT books over a year ago, and barely opened them. I had no drive or accountability and so I rarely studied. Finally (2 Months before my test) I made myself sign up for the 7 Day trial period for Magoosh, and it was the most I had studied all year collectively. Due to my learning style I really thrived with the Magoosh videos. Whereas before I would just be confused by explanations I read in books, the videos did a great job pointing out each step so that I knew where I went wrong. I also took advantage of the mobile friendly flashcards, I travel for work and I can't always get easy access to my computer, but I was able to productively study on my phone due to these flash cards.

Took the first practice test with the software and received a 580. Studied for a couple weeks but didn't feel like I was getting much better. Came across Magoosh and after watching a couple videos, knew it could be the extra boost I needed. I ended up buying the Premium edition with only 8 days before the test but it really helped. Wish I could have had the guidance earlier. Both the verbal and math have excellent insight and breakdown the fundamentals of each section. Highly recommend for anyone prepping for the test!

When I first started the program I took the diagnostic 20 question exam: I got every math question wrong and only 3 verbal right. After condensing the 3 month program into 2 months (which the self paced program allowed me to do), I was able to achieve a 690 (44 on Quant and 40 on Verbal) and an 8 on the IR! The affordable program (way less than the hundreds of dollars other programs were asking for) was great because it fit my own condensed schedule and covered everything I needed. Magoosh helped me far exceed my goal and get into the MHA/MBA program I wanted! I will absolutely recommend them to anyone taking graduate tests!

Magoosh was definitely worth every cent. There are tons of video lessons for each topic, as well as video explanations for every one of the 1000+ questions. There is no way that I could have done as well as I did on the GMAT without Magoosh.

Magoosh is an amazing test prep site - at an equally amazing price (~$150). I had been self-studying using book materials, and always dreaded studying. Then I found Magoosh, and I couldn't wait to study. The lesson videos are interesting and very easy to understand. There are hundreds of practice problems available with video answer explanations after each question. You can customize your practice to specific types of problems with specific difficulty level. The timer on each question allows you to feel the time pressure, which helps you master your timing (especially helpful for me on the math section).

Magoosh gave me the confidence that I needed for test day. I would not have reached my goal score if it wasn't for Magoosh. I would recommend to anyone studying for the GMAT. It is the best resource for the price.

When I previously took the GMAT, I felt like I was guessing on every answer in the quant portion of the exam. I retook the GMAT specifically to raise my quant score. Going in the second time, I felt confident in the answers that I selected. Magoosh really emphasizes understanding the concepts behind the math and not just memorizing formulas. This helped learn how to approach a problem. I also learned when to cut my losses to save time if I did not know how to attack a problem. I ended up achieving my goal math score as well.

I was not aiming to increase my verbal score, as I was satisfied with it the first time around. However, I did watch a handful of the Magoosh verbal videos. I did not keep up with them, as I felt overwhelmed by the focus on the types of clauses and verb forms - it was too difficult for me to keep all of them straight.

I had an excellent experience with Magoosh Premium Prep. I had already scored 660 on my previous attempt, so needed to score at least 50 extra points.

The vast question bank with diverse questions and video explanations really helped me focus on my weak areas. I made a 37-Quant & 41-Verbal question sets myself, in order to prepare myself better for the real thing.

The video explanations were thorough and comprehensive, covering basic to advanced details. The fact that the explanations also offered the relevant video lessons really helped in refreshing the concepts.

Overall, the course was worth it and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to cross the 700 mark!

My GMAT journey was long and tedious. Before I started using Magoosh, I took the online Manhattan course. While both we great, I liked the Magoosh materials much better. Below are three reasons why:

1. Large question bank
Magoosh makes it easy to do a ton of practice problems. Before I started using Magoosh, I dreaded doing problems in the OG book (still worth doing). The interface keeps you on track to do problems sets and makes it easy to select a particular problem type.

2. Specific lessons
The Manhattan lessons were long and general. Magoosh has a ton of videos on specific topics. I felt like the Magoosh lessons were more comprehensive and concise compared to the Manhattan lessons

3. Study plans
While you can see the study plans for free online, they are fantastic and force you to stay on track.

Magoosh was the best ~$100 I spent in 2016. I would highly recommend to everyone.

Magoosh was extremely helpful as it helped me focus on the all question types. It also has really good tips on how to tackle the often neglected parts of the GMAT - AWA and IR, important to maintain confidence during the exam.

What really improved my Magoosh experience were the video explanations offered after each question and the prompt response to any query put forth to the Magoosh Team.

Overall my Magoosh experience has been brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone looking for tangible improvements in their score. :)

I received late notification about an important MBA opportunity and only had one month to study for the GMAT. My sister recommended Magoosh after her successful GRE prep using the program. I spent almost all of my free time during that month studying with Magoosh and achieved a score within the range I needed on my first (and only) opportunity to take the exam. I would never recommend cramming GMAT prep into one month if it isn't absolutely necessary, but Magoosh helped me make the most out of my limited time. Would highly recommend Magoosh to anyone taking the GMAT or other exam.

I studied for the GMAT for about two months before taking the test and Magoosh was the only resource I used (I bought the OG but it just sat on my shelf for the whole process!). Magoosh was really excellent, - it has a comprehensive set of really clear and well-structured video lessons for quant, verbal, IR and AWA and a large question bank (with fully explained video answers) for quant and verbal.

This resource was great for me because I am a native English speaker (who has scored well previously in English exams) and also hold a Physics degree from Imperial College London. Therefore I felt I had the basic skills needed to do well in GMAT, I just needed some review of basic quant concepts, to learn exam skills/techniques and be able to do lots of practice. Magoosh provided this in spades. My only advice would be to download a video speed increasing plug-in - I listened to most of the quant videos on double speed and this helped me get through everything much faster!

I think the best thing about Magoosh is that it is great value compared to other courses on the market - best $80 I've spent this year (although since I live in London it is also the only dollars I've spent this year :p)

When I first thought of tackling the GMAT, I had no idea on the strcture of the exam. Magoosh helped me to understand this, and it also provides a lot of resources in order to disect every concept that will be tested on the actual test. I would totally recommend using Magoosh, but I believe that using just Magoosh is not going to be enough if you are aiming for a 700+ score. In fact, they actually recommend several other resources outside of Magoosh that will help you improve your score. Also, every time I had an inquiry they would get back to me in as much as 72 hours. Great service.

You can't spend a better $80 to get GMAT help. I took a classroom course prior to this which was more than 10x as expensive, and maybe half as beneficial.

The videos are the most helpful part of Magoosh... immediately upon answering incorrectly, you can watch a 2-3 minute video that goes step by step into a few different ways the problem could have been approached. This was an invaluable way to study with the "don't make the same mistake twice" mentality that Mike McGarry preaches.

I found the Math help to be much more valuable than the Verbal, but that is subjective and personal to me since I already had a 40V going into Magoosh. I was mainly in it for the Quant, which I did increase 3pts with Mike's blog post that outlines a solid 3-month plan.

One thing to keep in mind if pursing the 3 month plan that I did... it does recommend that you buy several other books. This can effectively increase the price from $80 to about $300, but if you think having a lot of different perspectives on approaches then it's worth it. In my experience, I started with Magoosh + their recommended books, but by the end I found a bit more value with just Magoosh since the videos are much more detailed in their explanations than any book is.

Using Magoosh was extremely helpful for me. Their lessons explain everything in a great manner and they put a lot of effort in explaining every single answer to a question. The blog they have and extra resources where amazing, including the study plan schedules. I went from a 530 practice test score to a 750 Official GMAT score, all thanks to Magoosh!

Magoosh was an essential to my entire study plan. I was lucky enough to have bumped into the Magoosh product while I was researching study techniques and schedules for my GMAT preparation. I completed the 1 month study schedule and it did absolute wonders for me! My experience with Magoosh was absolutely wonderful. I could easily conclude that my success on the GMAT was due mostly (if not entirely) to the work I did through Magoosh. Magoosh is perfect for anyone looking to study for the GMAT. Plenty of lesson videos are provided and they essentially every topic you will encounter on the exam. Practice questions are formatted very similarly to the actual questions you will see so you will have a lot of practice in how to approach different question types. I studied for the GMAT for two months using Magoosh. My practice tests ranged from a 630 on my first one to a 680 on my last. When I went into the test I felt more than prepared thanks to Magoosh. I was ecstatic when I saw 710 pop up on my screen after the exam. I honestly could not have done it without Magoosh. Trust me, you can not go wrong with this product. If you are diligent in you studying and use it to its full potential, you will see improvement. Magoosh is all I used to prepare and I can say that I "beat the GMAT"!

I used the Magoosh site mostly for my quant studying and really appreciated the video explanation of how to solve each problem. It really made a difference to see the process to go about solving the hard problems. There are literally over a thousand questions, and each with a video explanation.

Magoosh was particulary important for my verbal and IR prep. Very detailed discussion videos as well asvideo explanations to problems. Magoosh probably provides the best value for of all the prep programs I checked out.

To give you my background, I have very strong quant skills and my spoken/written English is very good too. I was looking for a course to fine tune my skills for the GMAT. I followed the 1 month study plan created by Magoosh(compressed into a 3 week minimal sleep schedule) and it was exactly what I was looking for. The lessons are detailed enough for the GMAT and the entire approach of 'know why you are eliminating options' really helped me get build confidence. In quant, I needed help in not getting the questions right, but getting the questions right within 2 minutes and the course preps you well for that. In verbal, like in quant, the question types are consistent and it all comes down to identifying what the GMAT looks for. The course helps you familiarize with that and build your confidence. I started studying with a target score of 730 because that is what I believed I could get. I left the exam disappointed that I only got a 730 because Magoosh had increased my levels to a higher score, which I had seen in my mocks(I lost focus and ran out of time on the actual test day).

Quant has been a huge weakness of mine and what I really needed was a large set of challenging problems with good explanations. Magoosh delivers exactly that and I saw my score go from 680 to 750 in about 3 weeks. I really only did quant practice problems and not all of the lessons, but the lessons I did watch were extremely helpful. While the problems are tough and it may not be apparent you are making progress, you undoubtedly will when it comes to test day. Would highly recommend!

After struggling with my self study and learning through the traditional books, being a visual learner, I knew I needed some strong video tutorials and lessons to understand the concepts tested on the GMAT. The video lessons are great and build you up to the difficult concepts. The best part is they are broken down enough to allow you to go back and review particular subjects. I found the best method was, after answering a question incorrectly on a practice test, going back and reviewing the Magoosh lessons on that topic to ensure I could master it.

After searching all over the internet, and spending some time/money on the offical GMAT prep software, I decided to try Magoosh. The videos are what sold me, and the videos added the most to my learning. Mike teaches clear concise strategies, and walks through every problem with you. For many of the questions, he's so concise that he can teach, and explain the question in less time that I can even do the question.

Magoosh is great, and for the price they offer everyone should at least try it out.

I took the GMAT once having only used the OG for self-study. I did pretty well, but I hope to attend an elite business school, and I knew I could do better. As much as I would like to think I'm an excellent test taker, I knew I needed some professional help. After reading a few reviews and seeing the reasonable price, I chose to use Magoosh. I am a native English speaker so my Verbal scores were already very good. I used Magoosh primarily for Quant. The lesson videos were very thorough and went at a nice pace. The ability to speed up the video was a nice touch to help get through parts I already knew well. I watched every math video and re-watched the subjects I struggled with most. The practice problems were also excellent. I will say this though, they are challenging! Even up until test day I was getting frustrated with the difficulty, but once I sat down for the test everything the GMAT threw at me seemed easy by comparison. And even though I didn't watch any videos, the Verbal practice I did also helped me increase that score! Overall I was very satisfied with Magoosh and would highly recommend it to anyone hoping to improve their GMAT scores.

I used Magoosh for both verbal and quant. I think their quant videos/questions/study guide is fantastic. I went from Q40 to Q50, and attribute a lot of it to magoosh. Their verbal is not nearly as good, only went up 3 points. Their RC/CR questions are not very good quality, and their SC is ok. However both PS and DS questions are good. Definitely recommend for quant if you don't want to shell out a lot of $$$.

I took a practice test one month before I was scheduled to give my GMAT, and I scored a 620 - far below the minimum score I needed for my dream school. I mentioned this (close to tears) to a friend and she steered me in the direction of Magoosh. It was everything I was looking for. The online lessons are easy, informative, full of important test taking strategies and geared at making you understand, not memorize. The vast and varied question bank mimics the actual test to a huge extent. Especially helpful was the IR section - the questions for that were exactly what I needed to ace that section! Being able to access video solutions for the questions I got wrong was also amazingly helpful. If you're weak in a particular field - Math in my case - Magoosh will be your lifesaver.

Besides that, the Magoosh GMAT blog was a huge help too! And that part's free. Full of great advice and plenty of free videos (watch the ones on the AWA section - they really helped me!) They do study plans too, if you're overwhelmed and don't know where to start, those are invaluable.

If you're serious about the GMAT, and don't want to waste money on other sources of help, just buy Magoosh and don't look back. Best decision I ever made. I'd give them more than just 5 stars if I could!

I was studying with the Princeton Review and found their offering for study at home to be lacking. As such, I went looking for a second option and found Magoosh. Great product! I highly recommend their online offering. The video explanations are easy to follow and help you learn the material. I also was impressed with the size of their question bank and options for studying. Overall, I highly recommend this product.

One of the things I need the most when it comes to math is explanation and constant practice. Magoosh gave me both those things and really helped me to increase my math score. I decided to study for the GMAT by myself, practicing only with the questions from the Official Guide. I took the GMAT once and got a 680, but was aiming at 700+. I decided I needed a lot more practice on math, since I wanted to improve my Quant score, while maintaining my Verbal score. I answered almost 400 questions, watching every video, which helped me strengthen the areas where I needed more help. I took several prep tests to make sure I had enough Verbal practice as well. I ended up getting my target score after a month of using Magoosh. I highly recommend it for people that need a lot of practice and want great quality explanations without spending hundreds of dollars.

I think Magoosh is one of the best tools out there for those of you with high ambitions yet a relatively short amount of time. I had 1 month to prepare for the GMAT and Magoosh, in general, and Mike McGarry, where extremely helpful in the videos they offered explaining not only what the correct answer to a problem was but also the tricks the GMAT creators like to put on the test to catch you. Magoosh also had a very holistic approach to the topics on the test, rather than just forcing formulas down your throat. If you are willing to work hard for a sustained period of time, I think Magoosh is the way to go. I relied on it exclusively.

I opted for the Magoosh premium package which focuses on Math and Verbal, and rigorously followed the one month study plan. The website is easy to navigate and the customer support team is very responsive. The lessons are well paced and the tips and tricks taught get embedded in the memory. The lessons focus on the basics which really helped me revise everything I learnt in high school really quickly.

I used Magoosh to study for the GRE and I was equally as impressed with the content available for the GMAT. I knew that Magoosh had the calibre of content I needed to achieve my score. The detailed explanations, particularly for quant, helped me to better understand the content and help me identify trends in where I was going wrong. I found it particularly useful to go over my "wrong" questions at the end of a week to see where I needed to focus my efforts. The difficulty levels between Magoosh quant and the real GMAT are comparable; the verbal was slightly more difficult. My predicted score was slightly under for quant but spot-on for verbal. I recommend Magoosh to anyone!

Mike McGarry is a great teacher and I really liked his videos. They're very concise but thorough at the same time, and I love that you can watch them at increased speeds (I'm used to listening to audiobooks on high speeds). I bought the premium package because I mostly needed the quant side (my verbal was already very strong), but I also wanted the integrated reasoning portion that came with the verbal package. I only had about a month to prepare, but I watched all of the quant videos in that time and it was enough to bring my quant score up 5 points in my raw scores. I would definitely recommend Magoosh to others.

There are quite a few options out there for GMAT prep. I figured books would be just as good as any, but I was dead wrong. Magoosh's integration of video lessons with practice problems was perfect for my style of learning. The emphasis on conceptual understanding rather than formulas was very helpful as well. I wish I had signed up with them the moment I thought about taking the GMAT!

I think Magoosh is one of the best tools out there for those of you with high ambitions yet a relatively short amount of time. Magoosh, in general, and Mike McGarry, in particular, have enabled me to score a 700 on my test, after 6 weeks of preparation. My very first score on the GMAT software testprep was 590! If you are willing to work hard for a sustained period of time, I think Magoosh is the way to go. I relied on it exclusively.

Magoosh provides a variety of great study videos for all kinds of topics. The videos are clear, not too long and easy to follow and give you valuable tips for all sections. It is perfect for someone who is completely new to the GMAT but also for people who are already familiar with it and just need a fresh-up. Magoosh helped me to my 720 and I am very grateful for that!

Magoosh made everything easy for me. It was well designed, intuitive and fun to use. The tutors are highly qualified and fun to listen to. You don't really miss the classroom experience. In fact, it's even better than an actual classroom since you can study on to go. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes some flexibility while studying.

Magoosh Premium subscription has been instrumental in my success at the GMAT exam. It offers a wide range of study plans and if you stick to any specific plan as per your needs , then for sure you will achieve your target. Magoosh also provides great video lessons which will not only brush up your fundamental concepts but also help to make the learning swift and simple. The review section and custom practice section allow any student to prepare as per his/her strengths and weaknesses and also enable a learning through feedback. The video explanations available for over 1200 questions is such a great resource that you will not need any other study material to go through. Its great app on appstore/playstore adds to the flexibility of learning at the go and is a must have if you can't access your laptop or pc all the time.

Overall Magoosh GMAT prep is a 5 star for me.

I purchased Magoosh to specifically improve my quant score which had been a relative weakness of mine early on in my prep. Magoosh's video lessons were incredibly succinct and practical with a clear focus on test-taking strategy. By contrast, some other learning materials I used (including Manhattan prep and OG books) taught the same mathematical concepts but in a much more theoretical way. Magoosh really teaches you to think like the test-maker and approach questions much more efficiently. The Magoosh question bank was extensive and the quality of the questions were high - I found them to be very similar to the official GMAT questions. The accompanying iPhone applications were also very helpful for prepping on the go. Overall, at $79 (I purchased during the Labour Day sale), I believe there isn't a better prep product out on the market for the price. Magoosh's customer service is also exceptional - all of my emails were addressed within a couple hours and responses were thorough and considerate. I would highly recommend Magoosh to anyone seeking to do their best on the GMAT.

My experience with magoosh has been pretty awesome till now. The way the content is organised and the way in which the videos are embeded with each question is really good.

Few points that i would i like to bring out that others might have missed.

1 They provide you with incentive. For Example , if u have taken gmat and want to improve; magoosh gives 50point improvement gurantee and they mean it. I had a friend who studied hard but could not get that much score and got a refund which he inturn used for another gmat

2 Video explanation are quality explanations. They have put a lot of efforts in to it.

3 If you just want to practise questions, here is the best platform.

I'm Japanese but now living in China and couldn't attend GMAT prep school in Japan, so chose to take online prep course in English instead and tried Magoosh.

I apply for European schools so don't need 700 level score, but the problem was I had only 1 and half months for preparation as I suddenly decided to apply for MBA. And unlike typical Japanese applicants I was really bad at Math, even don't remember very basic algebra formulas;) So I first used Japanese book for a quick review for the formulas, but except for that I just concentrated on Magoosh practice.

As my major concern was Math, I mainly did Math practice, did all question from Easy to Hard and repeated for incorrect one. Verbal I did 200 questions from Easy to Hard. Just did it for 2weeks, and I took score 650(Q47 V32) for my very first GMAT! (Maybe it's not so high as Harvard applicants, but still enough for me and 650 was exactly the score I wanted -;)

I found that the video explanation for each question was extremely useful. You can take same kind of question and get written explanation with most of iPad App prep course, but the video explanation helped me understand how to solve the question far better than written one.

Also the question quality was very good, it's really similar to real GMAT question, and you can choose question level and study from very basic to really high level. I didn't do Very high level as I didn't have time, but High level was enough High and I felt on the test day that real GMAT question was easier (so that I could finish all question in time).

The course is really well structured and I think it's definitely worth the price. Verbal practice was also good, but I would highly recommend the course for who are not good at Math, as it is really difficult to study by his/herself.

To be quite fair signing up for a gmat course is probably the most difficult decision which any person preparing for the gmat can quite honestly face since there are tons of courses which are available in the market (some which are exceedingly good and some which quite honestly do not meet the definition of a true preparatory course)
When I began the search for a gmat course I looked at the following aspects
(1)Test Preparatory companies which provided abundant questions which were similar to the questions which a student will face on the real gmat exam to be adequately prepared
(2)Softwares which had excellent analytics to show the areas of strength and weakness
(3)Softwares which had excellent analytics to sort questions in ascending levels of difficulty -This was particularly important since building confidence is the first key step
(4)Questions accompanied by video lectures -Since the process of comprehending solution posted on forums can be quite overwhelming initially
With all apprehensions weighing on my mind - It was important to turn to a course which addresses the needs and Magoosh most definitely did not let me down
The platform is absolutely perfect and the course quite honestly meet my expectations
Not only is the course THE MOST AFFORDABLE course in the market -the questions available on the platform are of the standard gmat questions ; additional aspects which are addressed on the platform include
(1)Comparing the actual time taken to answer question with the standard time
(2)Flagging questions to ensure you can revisit them at any point in time

At first I was skeptical of the Magoosh product, I didn't understand how Magoosh could offer a premium product for a fraction of the price of its competitors. However, after spending several months studying using a range of prep books/resources and only receiving a 630 on my first GMAT attempt, I figured I'd give Magoosh a try. I studied for six weeks using all of Magoosh's video lessons and practice questions. I diligently worked through the program, answering dozens of questions a day. When test day came, I felt quite prepared to conquer the GMAT. During the test, I found myself breezing through the Math and Verbal sections. The GMAT test felt so much easier after using Magoosh! To my surprise, I saw my Math score increase from 42 to a 49 and my Verbal score increase from 35 to 41. I highly recommend Magoosh to anyone taking the GMAT. There is no test prep company that comes close to Magoosh!

When I first decided to go for MBA, my biggest concern and fear was the GMAT. I have been out of school for 9 years and hadn't taken a math class in 12. I took the GMAT cold to see how I did and ended up with a 650. Good, but not where I needed to be, especially with Quant.

Due to my crazy work schedule I knew I needed a program that I could work through on my own time. Going to weekly classes wasn't an option. I signed up for the premium Magoosh GMAT prep course in order to access the Math and Verbal sections.

Using the Magoosh 3-month Math study plan, I spent around 20 hours a week for 12 weeks brushing up on math, practicing verbal, and learning test taking strategy. A combination of video lessons, electronic practice questions, and answer explanation videos worked in tandem to stretch the quant side of my brain.

By the end of the summer, I gained 90 points on my overall test score. I made up 5 points in Quant and 4 in Verbal. The questions alone were worth the cost of admission, but the clear explanations and videos by Mike McGarry helped simplify concepts and give me confidence in my own abilities.

If you need a flexible study schedule and have the discipline to enforce it, I would strongly recommend Magoosh. It's a great resource and an excellent value.

I prepared for both the GMAT and TOEFL together on a very tight timeline (3 weeks). Not having studied the concepts that are tested for almost 8 years, I took a while to get up to speed. The tutorials for both quant and verbal were quite useful. I did manage to plough through almost the entire question bank, but then again, Magoosh's course is all I did (for both).
I ended up with a 720 (49Q, 40V) in GMAT and a 119/120 in TOEFL, both of which are fairly good for the amount of preparation. I believe I could have scored slightly higher on test day (in the 750 ballpark) with the same amount of preparation; given I knew during the exam only the questions that I wasn't doing correctly.
For those looking for more practice, it may be sufficient to go through the official GMAT guides as well as some of the free material on various forums.

The platform is incredible, you can learn ALL the GMAT content through the videos. Exercises tend to be a little harder than the actual test, so you are very prepared. Explanations for content and for exercises are very detailed and include a lot of GMAT tips. I used the 6 month study schedule from the Magoosh Blog and followed through most of it. I studied about two hours a day for 6 months and I got a 670 and will be repeating because I'm sure I'm prepared for a better score.
My only comments would be that I would make the platform a little more versatile in terms of filtering to see your progress. Also, in regards to the schedule, I would't recommend the GMAC paper tests, there are many other available resources.

Magoosh exceeded my expectations. I had only a month to go before my GMAT and wanted something concise, effective as well as efficient to cover all the topics in Math & Verbal.

I really needed to improve on my verbal score and maintain/improve my math score. Enter the Magoosh Premium Plan and about 30 days later, I was really confident of getting a better score on my GMAT. This Magoosh software is amazing. I personally prefer the self-serve version of studying, and Magoosh allowed me to drill down on specific topics and difficulty when studying. Along with the 20+ hours of quant videos I watched, I would not have improved 170 points without Magoosh. Awesome software.
