Excellent content and methodology.

The content is truly amazing, very thoroughly, and lots of questions to practice are provided. The course methodology was essential to help me to feel motivated, to push harder, and to study longer than I usually did before. Studying by myself I managed to elevate my Quant from 36 to 42, but couldn't go any further by myself. One month of TTP was enough to take me to the 48 Quant I needed. The course provided lots of meaningful analytics to show my weaknesses and strengths, so I could focus on the concepts and practice questions I needed the most. I believe the course is meant to last more than one month, but even though I had such a short time, my improvement was significant.

TTP drives understanding of content

I used TTP to re-study, and found that it really forced me to understand all the concepts tested on the GMAT. While preparing for my first sitting, I did too many practice questions without understanding my mistakes. TTP is designed to make you slow down while learning, and then go into the exam better prepared. I found that I was faster without doing much timed practice because of the level of understanding I had developed. I recommend using TTP from the beginning of your studies. If, however, you are retaking, it will definitely serve you well.

I used TTP for about 4 months prior to my exam and I truly believe there is no more comprehensive study material out there for the GMAT. TTP focuses on implementation of concepts throughout the course. There is no shortage of practice tests, quizzes, that are intentionally delivered after every single chapter to solidify your understanding of each lesson. Even after you are finished with the course itself TTP has modules dedicated to taking official mock tests after the course. After I completed the course I scored between 47 and 50 on the quantitative sections of all 6 mock exams I took and my actual exam. Before signing up, I was skeptical that the content provided was worth the money, but TTP completely delivered. It was a great step by step guide on how to tackle the GMAT. It is a worthy investment if you are willing to put in the time to learn and practice the material. Scott, Jeff and the TTP team are also entirely devoted to making sure that their students succeed and were available to me whenever I needed their assistance. With the release of their material dedicated to Verbal Review, this is truly the one-stop shop for your GMAT preparation. I wholeheartedly believe that my GMAT score would not have been possible without TTP.

TTP: everything you need for quant

I spent ~2.5 months on the program, and even after cutting it a bit short, my quant score rose from 45 to 50. I attribute all of my improvement to TTP and how in-depth the program is. Every quant section is broken down into thorough, comprehensive chapters with supporting quizzes by difficulty. The quiz problems are very close to actual GMAT problems, so you are getting a ton of repetition and building up confidence that you actually understand how to tackle a topic, no matter how it is presented.

For someone who constantly scored around 45 on quant, this program was exactly what I needed to break through and achieve a great score. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their quant score.

TTP - the most comprehensive for Quant

I took the GMAT twice, scoring a 640 (42Q) and a 670 (45Q) respectively. I had used other GMAT prep materials and studied for 6 months but still felt overwhelmed on the Quant section. I felt like I had a good base in quant but needed something to push me to a top score. Luckily, I was recommended TTP. I cannot state how comprehensive that site is! I dedicated a couple of months to review each chapter, take the practice quizzes, and take their longer exams. Come test day I honestly felt like I had seen every problem the GMAT threw at me. If you really dig into their materials, no question should come as a surprise. It is such a comforting feeling when taking the test. I ended up scoring a 49Q the next two times I took the exam. Finally, finished a few days ago with a 740!

Merely taking practice tests and using the Official GMAT guide did not allow me to significantly improve my quant score. Prior to TTP I received quant scores of 47 and 46 on my official practice tests (for an overall 720 and 710).

I stopped taking practice tests and used TTP exclusively for an intense month of quantitative review. After that month, I finally took two additional practice tests and received quant scores of 49 and 51 (for an overall score of 750 and 760 respectively).

I finally took the GMAT for real and received a quant score of 49 and verbal 42 (for an overall 740). I am very pleased with how much I was able to improve using TTP. It really brings your quant skills to where it needs to be to get stellar scores on the GMAT.

Great course for GMAT Quant

It's been a decade since I've been in school, so to say that I was unfamiliar with the concepts tested on the quant section is an understatement. TTP helped me to get back to the basics and build my quant skills from basically non-existent to a solid understanding. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to improve their quant score. The creator of TTP, Scott, was also incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the process. It's apparent that he cares about each of his students and he took his time to explain to me the importance of taking a strategic approach with studying for the GMAT, and of course exactly what that strategy is. He also offers one-on-one tutoring for those who are looking for more hands on support.

Fourth Time is the Charm

  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 640 After: 700

I cannot say enough about this offering. The GMAT was the main obstacle standing in my way to getting into a top school. I have previously taken the test 3 times, invested in a private tutor as well as a in-person course, and my test scores definitely did not show it. I was struggling with the quant portion - particularly with keeping my anxiety in check.

I found out about Target through the Forte program. I signed up for the free trial and was surprised when Scott, the founder, emailed me to set up time to talk. We had an extremely honest conversation where he suggested that I should extend my test date to be truly ready. What I appreciate more than anything is that he was the first person to fully acknowledge that this test was difficult and the anxiety I faced had a real impact on the outcomes.

For 4 months, I dedicated most of my free time to going through all the modules and taking copious notes. I really liked how detailed the explanations were and how many drills were there. This program enabled me to actually understand the math, rather than finding some kinds of tricks. I also liked that it was by far the most affordable option that I had tried and was on the computer - just like the real test is.

When I finally took the test, I feel like the clouds parted and I could figure out answers that had previously stumped me. I was elated when I got the 700.

I am over the moon after pressing that final submit button on my GMAT test just a few weeks ago. After signing up for the test months ago, I had no idea where to begin studying. I opted for the free trials to a few of the programs out there, but after checking out Target Test Prep, I knew I found the course I needed to help me work specifically on Quant. I have a background in a reading/research/writing intensive field, so I didn't feel like I needed as much help in the Verbal section, but have not taken a math class since 2005. After going through all of the lessons and problems on TTP, I was able to go from a decade without math, to scoring a 47! Thanks Target Test Prep!

I scored a 47 in Quant on my first try. I wanted to improve to a 49-50 and won a 4 month course in Quant from the GMAT subreddit. I used this course throughout my prep for my second try and found it very helpful. The lessons are arranged neatly and the quizzes are beneficial if you want a quick review of a particular topic. Also, they're very personal and reach out to you personally if you need any help and even ask you how you did after the exam. I'd definitely recommend if you're thinking about an online course. If you're looking for that extra push in Quant, go for this one!

Scott & Target Test Prep made a total miracle happen -- I was scoring in the low 600s when I started with them. Without the course's / Scott's insights, tricks, and tips, I would have never been able to pass the 700 threshold. In fact, I never, ever expected to even hit 720 - my final score was beyond my wildest expectations! I literally started from scratch and worked through the TTP course from Step 1. Scott continued to help sharpen all key skills and gave me some incredible time-saving tricks and tips which made all the different on test day. I had worked with Manhattan GMAT extensively -- Target Test Prep catapulted me to a whole different level. The course is very unique in that you can really drill down on key areas, a-la-carte. You are able to single out specific weak points and drill down on them easily through practice problems. I highly recommend trying their program - you won't be disappointed.

Also, I found the personal tutoring session extremely valuable. They drill down on topics, making sure you can solve the problems on your own the most efficient way without sacrificing accuracy.

TTP Helped Me Break 700!

August 22, 2017

TTP helped drive my quant score up from a 45 to a 47 which I needed to break the 700 barrier. After months of studying on my own and disappointment after my first stab at the GMAT, a friend recommended TTP and I couldn?t be happier. Immediately after purchasing the 3-month course, Scott emailed me to check-in. TTP also gave me a free 30-minute consolation over the phone to answer any questions I had about their product.

TTP breaks up quant into digestible sections and gives you flexibility. Each chapter describes the concepts in detail with periodic examples. The short quizzes enable you to choose which level problems you want to test. For each quant subject, TTP helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses and maximize my study time since I could choose between reviewing the chapter material and jumping ahead to the quizzes.

After reaching my target score, Scott congratulated me and was genuinely interested in my next steps and school choices. I?d highly recommend TTP for anyone who wants a one-stop-shop for GMAT quant.

Vaulted me to a 770!

June 9, 2017

  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 700 After: 770

I started my GMAT journey last July, with the expectation of applying to schools in the fall of 2017. As a native English speaker who has always read a lot, I was able to hit the 90th to 95th percentile in Verbal consistently without studying, so I focused my study entirely on Quant. Given the weighting differential between Verbal and Quant, I really only had to get a ?decent? Quant score to reach the 720+ range I was targeting, which seemed perfectly achievable at the time given that math has never been a subject which I have struggled on.

My study process was well-thought out, and I was extremely diligent in my preparation. I used the MGMAT strategy guides, GMAT Hacks Total Math, and a variety of GMATclub resources to prepare. Completed all the questions in the OG Guide 2017 and OG Quant Review 2017 twice. Took all 6 MGMAT CATs and all 6 Official CATs multiple times. Detailed error logs of everything. And I studied A LOT. My first official exam was in October, on which I scored a 700 with a 42 Quant (47th percentile). Disappointed, I continued to study and took another crack in November, which resulted in another 700. Improved my Quant score slightly to 44 (54th percentile), but Verbal fell a bit. Thought ok a little more improvement and I?ll be alright, and scheduled another test for December. The third time was a heartbreaker ? I choked and halfway through the Quant section I knew I was toast, and thought about just walking out with the test unfinished. Another 700 with a Quant score of 42; my performance had declined after hours and hours of studying. Given my non-elite undergrad and work experience, a 700 wasn?t going to cut it for the schools I would consider (especially with such a terrible Q/V split), and I didn?t end up applying for the 2017 intake.

After doing some series reflecting on my performance and spending a lot of time mapping out an improvement strategy, I knew I needed some kind of prep course. Made quite the spreadsheet with information on all the different prep course options, cut this list down, and demoed the finalists. Ended up choosing Target Test Prep out of all of them, which I thought at the time was somewhat of a leap of faith as it is not one of the major players i.e. MGMAT, Veritas, Magoosh, Kaplan or the like.

The Target Test Prep course had a nice progression, forcing you to really master the fundamentals before moving on to some of the more advanced topics you would only see at higher levels. The lessons were great, and I picked up some stuff I did not learn from my prior studies. Thought the video explanations were surprisingly helpful as well, and the dashboard feature made it easy to identify where your weaknesses are and save questions for additional review. However, I think the real key for me was the massive amount of practice questions you were instructed to complete after each lesson. First, I thought they were very, very similar to actual GMAT questions (definitely more so than MGMAT) which helped to a degree. But most of all, doing a ton of questions focused on one specific topic at a time helped to drill concepts into my head and pickup on dumb mistakes I made too frequently, for example misreading the question or making errors on simple arithmetic. I compare it to math homework in high school; you would learn a lesson and then do an excruciating amount of problems that night to really master it. While the comparison to high school math homework might make you think ?yeah umm that Target Test Prep course . . . absolutely not? all I can say is that TARGET TEST PREP FREAKIN DELIVERED! Took the GMAT for a fourth time in May, and stood up and fistpumped (as quietly as possible) when I saw 770 flash over the screen. After spending countless hours studying with little to show for it, the Target Test Prep course propelled me from a Q42 to a Q49 and a 770 overall score. For anyone needing help with Quant, this is your course.

I can't speak highly enough of Scott, who was responsive, flexible on schedules, and fun to work with. Great course for increasing Quant score!

January 22, 2017
  • Teacher: Jeff and Scott
  • Recommended forVerbal: No  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 590 After: 650

My GMAT journey began last summer, when I decided to enroll in an in-person course with one of the popular test-prep companies. I completed the course and all the practice material, but still felt like I was only getting a rough review of the concepts and not really understanding where my weaknesses were. I ordered a bunch of other test prep books based on reviews, and scrambled to go through some material before my first actual exam. After my first official experience and a disappointing score of 590 with a 35 quant, I knew I was going to need some other strategy. I spent a long time reading countless reviews of people in this scenario, and repeatedly saw Target Test Prep highlighted for their quant-focused curriculum. I gave them a call to ask some questions about the course, and immediately heard back from Jeff, who was extremely helpful in guiding me toward the best plan for my needs. I enrolled in the 3-month plan and also worked with Jeff on a weekly basis to bring my quant skills up to par. I was immediately impressed by the TTP online interface, especially the ability to track progress, understand weak areas, and watch videos for solutions to many of the practice questions. I also cannot emphasize enough how useful I found the TTP explanations to be. The comparison between answer explanations I would see in OG questions to those explained by Jeff and the TTP course was like night and day - thorough, efficient, and clear solutions! I took my final GMAT and scored a 650 with a 45 quant, increasing my quant score by 10 points total, and I owe it all to this program. I believe I could?ve improved this score even more if I had a little more time to work on OG questions and official CATs, but the TTP team did a great job helping me sharpen core skills to tackle any problem with confidence. I really wish I had found them sooner and didn't waste any time with other prep material! I highly recommend the course to anyone that needs to improve quant skills quickly!

390 to 730 with Target Test Prep!

This is absolutely the BEST GMAT quant course available.

In early March 2016, my Manhattan practice exam score was a 390. I couldn?t even finish the math portion it was so hard. This was after reviewing all of the Manhattan math/verbal material. A friend recommend Target Test Prep, and I decided to try it in at the beginning of April. This was the best decision I could have made. I took the GMAT on June 4 and scored a 730!!

Target Test Prep was the reason for my success. on the GMAT. It's incredibly effective because:

1) The material is so thorough. I loved that it went through all of the different types of questions. I broke down the material into small-sizeable chunks. It was easier to follow and understand.

2) It gives you notes sheets for each lesson, and these are the BEST way to stay organized and review the material. I created flashcards out of these notes for the areas I was weak on to review daily in my last month.

3) It's all about practice!! The ?quizzes? in Target Test Prep were amazing and the repetition of the questions really helped me finally understand how to answer those types of problems as they appeared.

4) The "Dedicated Study Plan," the Printable Calendar and the interface with the amount completed per lesson and the % correct per quiz was an easy way for me to stay organized, move forward and understand my strength/weaknesses.

5) Target Test Prep is much more affordable than most of the options available, while being more effective.

I?ve told everyone I know that?s studying or planning to study for the GMAT to use Target Test Prep over anything else! I can't recommend it enough.

Incredibly Thorough Course!

When I began my GMAT journey, I purchased the most popular prep book series knowing that the quant section would be a challenge for me. I started with the first book and, try as I may, I could NOT find the motivation get through it! I nearly gave up on the test entirely when a friend introduced me to TTP. The course was exactly what I needed to jumpstart my quant prep and relearn all of the math concepts I needed for the exam (there's a lesson for literally every topic that could possibly appear on the quant section of the exam). I loved that the platform tracked all of my progress and showed me my strongest and weakest areas based on the problems I completed. The ability to view and track my timing on each problem was also crucial in training my internal clock for the exam. Last but not least, TTP has the cleanest and best-functioning platform of all the courses I?ve seen/tried. While this may seem trivial, I believe it played a role in keeping me organized and motivated.

I want to note that, while TTP helped me learn all of the math concepts I needed for the GMAT, the problems in the course are not official GMAT questions. It is absolutely critical for students to solve official questions from the Official Guide as they progress through the course. I didn?t realize this and took the GMAT after only using TTP to study and received a 660. For my second attempt, I utilized all of the knowledge I gained through TTP to solve almost every question in the OG, retook the exam, and came out with a 720. Do not underestimate the power of the OG!!

In conclusion, TTP (in conjunction with the OG) helped me master the quant section as a non-quant person. I recommend for anyone who?s curious about the course to try the 5-day trial and see how great it is for her/himself!

Guys

I dont write reviews but i love this course, They do have the best platform ever, best content and best methods. In my opinion they better than all the other famous guys.
My advise for the math part don't go anywhere else just do the free trail and you will love them.
The only shortcoming is that they dont have Verbal, But for math they are even better than private courses. They have test for each chapter and even the system analysis your performance allowing you to focus on your weakness.

Dont waste your time go with them

I think their online teaching program (the slides) had the most clear explanations of any of the 3 math programs I did. I also loved their website design.

I highly recommend TTP for anyone who needs help with math. I brought my score from the mid 30's to a 47 and a 48 on the GMAT.

TTP is an amazing program that takes the student methodically and logically through fundamental quant principles. The program allows the student to go through the material at their own pace and covers everything you are going to see in the GMAT quant section. The data analytics allows you to see what your strengths and weaknesses are and enables you then to spend time and effort on refining those weaker areas. Customizable tests and tons of problems allows each student to master any and every subject within the quant portion of the exam. Over three months of studying (about 10 - 15 hours a week) I went from struggling with and fearing the quant section to being excited to take the test. My quant score went up from 34 to 44 over that time and I am now able to reasonably apply to any school I want. I also must say that Scott and Jeff were super responsive and flexible to my needs and several tutoring sessions enabled me to really strengthen areas where I felt I was weak while also helping me build a solid test taking strategy. This program is very affordable and is worth every penny and I cannot more highly recommend it!

The Most Efficient Way to Prep for Quant

After scoring 580 (Q35) on my first practice GMAT, I realized I needed a clear, structured plan to have any chance of hitting my 700+ goal. I knew I needed to prioritize Quant, knew my schedule would be too unpredictable to take a prep class, and knew I wanted the best value for my money. The overwhelmingly positive Beat The GMAT reviews pushed me to try Target Test Prep. After prepping ~10 hour/week for 5 weeks, I registered for the GMAT and scored 740 (Q47).

Simply put, there is no more efficient and effective way to prep for the GMAT than Target Test Prep's dedicated study program coupled with the official GMAT practice exams. I spent 3 weeks working through each of the 19 chapters in the TTP program, using chapter quizzes to identify which areas to focus on. I then spent my last 2 weeks taking TTP's custom tests focused exclusively on my weakest areas. Throughout the process, I received constant analysis of my strengths and weaknesses.

I would absolutely recommend Target Test Prep to anyone looking for significant GMAT Quant improvement in a short period of time.

Great Content, Analytics, and Study Plan

What I lacked while studying for my first GMAT was an understanding of my weaknesses and the ability to target those weaknesses with a study plan. Target Test Prep addressed both of these issues and helped me improve my Quant score from 39 to 49(!!) Never thought I could see such an improvement in under 2 months.

The thing I loved most about Target was the way they break all of the Quant material into easily digestible Chapters, and then further into Topics within each Chapter. Coupled with an awesome analytics engine that visualizes your performance within each Chapter and Topic, you get a very clear idea of what your strengths & weaknesses are. Add on top of that a Study Plan that is tailored to your target score range, and you are golden!

This is the one for Quant! Q46 on practice test to Q51 on Test Day!

March 24, 2016

I started my studying back on January 4th, and took my first GMAT Prep Exam and received a 670 (Q46, V36). Thinking I had a 700 in the bag, I continued to study with other highly rated outside materials. My verbal was improving, but my quant simply was not.

Fast forward to late February - after my 5th CAT (various providers) score of under 700, I was completely flabbergasted. "How can I be doing poorly on quant?" I had practiced generic macro strategies such as smart numbers and skipping questions, but I was still not completing the Quant section on time or I was forced to guess through the last few questions because I was getting stumped on so many tough questions.

I ended up looking through the beatthegmat website and saw this company in the Reviews section that I had never heard of. There was a promotion for a week-long free trial. I thought, "why not?" I took the diagnostic after choosing the "awesome score" target, and learned that I still had so many different weak points regarding the tougher quant material. More so, I saw detailed videos that explained what I was doing wrong in each of those questions. I knew right then and there that this was what I needed.

I ended up using the "short" study plan, and ripping through chapter tests to further discover what my weak points were. Target Test Prep's Dashboard is a phenomenal tool which tracks all the questions answered and identifies areas of weakness. Within each area, there is instruction material that details exactly the different types of questions that the GMAT would give you during the actual test, and various methods to defeat them. By honing my weak chapters and converting them into strengths, I saw the effects on my practice scores. After getting a 750 (Q49) on the GMAT Prep Test #2, I immediately signed up to take the real thing a week later.

That last week, I continued to take custom practice exams from Target Test Prep in the early morning and Official GMAT questions in the evening (I work full time). I took the real exam on March 19th, and it felt like I was that guy from Limitless in the Quant Section. I felt like I identified all the traps that the GMAT was dishing out, and with a combination of my practice and possibly some sheer luck, I was extremely happy to see my unofficial score of 760 with a Quant Score of Q51!

Yes, most of your progress on your GMAT score is your own hard work, but Target Test Prep is definitely what helped me bring up my Quant score to break the 700 barrier. Scott and Jeff run a great program and deserve every 5 star review on this site.

Excellent Customer Experience

Target Test Prep was among the best - if not the best - studying sources I had for my GMAT prep. The desktop UI is excellent; it's clean, intuitive, and has the right level of 'human help' (i.e., when you need help, you can get support from a Target Test Prep resource right away). I studied a tremendous amount for the GMAT and used extensively on the Manhattan GMAT, Kaplan, Economist, GMAT Club, Veritas websites. While each of these had their own role in my GMAT prep process, I wanted to call out that TTP was the one that had the lasting impression on me; it was the one that allowed me most to refine my math section scores. Ultimately, I scored a 760 on my first and only GMAT with a 6 on AWA and 8 on IR. I also won the Economist GMAT Brightest Minds Challenge (1st of 6,300) and scored 770/790 on the Official GMAC practice tests.

Separately, I wanted to write a quick note about Jeff Miller, who I worked with for a few hours of tutoring. Jeff was an excellent tutor, and the only one among a number of tutors I spoke with that I decided to hire. I hired Jeff in the hope that he could help me with my approach to specific problem types: inequalities, distance/rate, work/rate, and absolute values. On multiple occasions, I was able to tell Jeff something to the effect of, "that's exactly what I needed and exactly why I hired you." After the tutoring sessions, I was able to attack problems in under a minute that would previously have eaten up ~3 minutes of my time. On the official test, I ended up having 15 minutes to spare in the math section alone and started doing problems over and over again just to make sure I had the right answer. (Honestly, I can't figure out which problems in the math section I got wrong, but I suppose there were a few.)

Thanks again to the TTP team.

Target Test Prep offers practice, confidence, and results!

I was exceptionally lucky to meet Jeff- who introduced me to Target Test Prep- back when I first stated to pursue interest in the GMAT and business school. I had just started to study and had enrolled in a competitor's online prep course. Everything "promised" sounded good on paper, but very quickly I found myself frustrated and confused by the material. No one was actually teaching me, they were just repeating lessons to me. I knew that a change was necessary for me to achieve the GMAT improvement I needed. That's where Jeff and Target Test Prep came in.

Target Test Prep is the most comprehensive quant course I've taken. Any material I was unfamiliar with, I was re-taught. Any section that I was performing poorly in was identified. Target Test Prep allowed for the most efficient use of my study time. Also, the interface is clean and compatible, which makes a huge difference when you absorb information (even though it may not seem as important). Jeff played a major hand in developing the site's curriculum- which was so apparent in our one-on-one time.

Jeff's tutoring style, commitment to my success, and advice allowed me to refocus my GMAT attention. I started studying the material that needed the most work and I stated practicing GMAT material smarter. Most importantly, Jeff worked with me on a mental level. I know he'll remember when he reads this, but in hindsight, I cannot believe how little confidence I used to have in myself. Jeff helped to change that. It's very easy to say to a person that they have the smarts to achieve something- but it's a hurdle to make them believe it. When any other educator would have dismissed my inner self-doubt as not their problem, Jeff's pep-talks and encouragement over nine months resulted in an about-face of my attitude. I owe a lot to Jeff for all he did for me, and I know he makes just as significant an impact on all his students.

I would recommend Target Test Prep to anyone about to embark on GMAT-prep for so many reasons. The staff, the material, the resources, and the dedication they give each student. My GMAT road isn't over just yet- but I know Target Test Prep will be there to help me get the score I need for the school I want. They're just as invested in my future as I am.

I loved using this tool to help me study for the GMAT. I knew getting personalized help would be much more beneficial and it definitely was. Working with Jeff helped me to understand the problems that I needed to master in order to get the score I wanted. We practiced a ton of problems and he showed me ways to solve them that weren't complicated at all! I really couldn't have done it with out using this program. It gave me the confidence I needed to feel prepared for this test!

Target Test Prep gave me the skills and knowledge I needed to receive above my target score on the GMAT. By the time I decided that I wanted to go to grad school, I only had 6 weeks to prepare for the GMAT. I decided to receive private tutoring from Jeff to get the most out of studying. While on a budget, and also busy being a full time student, I was only able to meet with Jeff one hour per week, which really made a HUGE difference. Jeff was excellent at reviewing material that I haven't seen in a while, as well as teaching me new topics. With the Target Test Prep online course and the fantastic guidance from Jeff, I was able to do far better than I expected. I recommend the combination of Target Test Prep and Jeff to anyone who wants to crush the GMAT.

I have to say, I did tons of research trying to find the right GMAT tutor to help me get my score. I spoke to Jeffrey about the issues I was having on the quant section and he immediately diagnosed my problems and provided me with ways to fix them. Jeffrey and I spoke twice a week and I supplemented our discussions with in depth training through Target Test Prep's software. I felt that, unlike other GMAT prep software, Target Test Prep was geared towards questions and concepts that one would actually see on a test. Their accuracy in this aspect allowed me to focus on specific concepts that would reduce my time spent on questions and dramatically increase my quant score. I was testing in the 60% range before meeting with Jeffrey and saw my score go into the 80%. I highly recommend discussing your issues with him.

Best GMAT prep course

July 28, 2015
  • Teacher: Jeff Miller
  • Recommended forVerbal: No  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 620 After: 730

After working with Target Test Prep, I scored a 730 on the GMAT, which was almost a 130 point increase over my prior two GMAT attempts (I scored in the low 600's twice after self-studying). I would strongly recommend that anyone who is serious about getting a great score on the GMAT work with Target Test Prep. After months of self study followed by a 3 month course with one of the "elite," well-known companies, I found that while I could get certain types of problems right, my understanding of the various GMAT topics was not deep enough to earn a high score. However, after working with my instructor at Target Test Prep course I was really able to master the material and saw almost an instant increase in my score. Aside from the rapid improvement in my test scores, I found working with my math and verbal instructors to be a very rewarding experience. They undertook a systematic approach to first understand where my weaknesses lay and then to come up with a strategy to eliminate them. We worked together to build my knowledge base through the web-classes (which, by the way, I found much more effective than any in person course I have taken).

Their GMAT self study course was also the best that I have seen. I found their personalized teaching process and detailed solutions to be far superior to many other test prep courses that focus on guessing strategies. Their commitment to see me succeed helped me to develop more confidence in my test taking abilities and contributed to my improved performance. That fact that the GMAT practice questions were written by the instructors themselves really differentiated the learning process relative to other tutors I have worked with in the past. Not only were there almost 3,000 practice questions, but also the questions are designed to test concepts and not just limited to certain types of problems. On my GMAT test day I found myself able to extrapolate the concepts from my classes and apply them to test problems very easily. All in, not only do the instructors really understand the material but more importantly, they are fantastic teachers and I really wish I had learned about their services sooner!!

This program is a great tool to help you improve your GMAT quant score. It was very helpful and easy to use. It provides you with chapters to read, chapter tests, customized tests, and tons of review questions. With the help of the software and tutoring sessions with Jeff Miller, I was able to get the score I needed. He showed me techniques that no GMAT book or other website ever mentioned and I was able to answer questions that I would blindly guess on before. What I liked most about working with Jeff and the Target Test Prep program was everything was customized to fit your personal needs. You can customize practice tests to include questions you need to focus on rather than wasting time doing questions you know how to do. I strongly recommend using this program to prepare for the GMAT.

This curriculum is a wonderful addition to anyone preparing to take the GMAT. While it covers every topic on the exam, it also is very easy to adapt to fit your personal needs. The breakout between topics is very understandable and the examples provided are excellent. There is also a huge number of practice exams on every topic covered in the GMAT; which is an excellent resource. Jeffrey Miller was an excellent tutor as well and in 10 short weeks we managed to get my score up from a 610 to 650. This tutoring program is very flexible in working within the students schedule and Jeff makes the topics a lot easier to understand. He is also very helpful in helping students learn where to prioritize their time and energy. I highly recommend this program.

I could not have been happier with my experience with Target Test Prep. Before I began my tutoring I had taken the GMAT once and did not get the score that I needed. I was under a very tight time constraint the second time around in order to get my application in. My tutor was accommodating around my schedule and made all the difference in my score. With just two weeks to work together we made as much head way as possible. I could not have asked for more.

Before working Target Test Prep, I had taken a Kaplan course and found that it was not personalized enough to fit what I was looking for. With my Target Test Prep tutor, along with the Target Test Prep GMAT Quant course, I was able to focus on what I needed the most help with and immediately noticed improvement. Ultimately I got the GMAT score I needed and was able to apply before the deadline. TTP was a huge help, and I honestly would recommend it to anyone studying for the GMAT.

I had tried other prep courses (online and classroom) which proved to be ineffective in improving my GMAT quant score. Target Test Prep is honestly different from every other course out there. With Target I improved my score by 80 points in a short time. First, the material they provide is SO much better- an intuitive website with detailed lessons for each topic with sample problems, patterns and easy to remember shortcuts, customizable quizzes by chapter, quant area and difficulty level. Second, the teaching method - Jeff my instructor was able to quickly assess my weaknesses, efficiently coach me through and increase my speed a LOT . Additionally he really built up my confidence which was a big hurdle for me and critical to improving my score. I would urge anyone taking the GMAT to use Target Test Prep before wasting time and money with others.

I worked with Jeff in order to bring up my quant score, which was quite lopsided from my verbal. Before using Target Test Prep, I had studied for and taken the GMAT twice. I got an OK score on my first try, and then my score went DOWN on my second try. I felt very stuck and hopeless. I was only motivated to try one last time after talking to Jeff about how thorough the Target Test Prep materials are. He was totally right. I realized there were many holes in my understanding of a lot of the quant topics. After spending several months re-learning the basics using Target Test Prep, coupled with private tutoring with Jeff, I was able to improve my quant score two points, putting me in the 700 range.

Working with Target Test Prep to prepare for the GMAT couldn?t have been better. In just three weeks I improved my GMAT quant score by 10 points and overall GMAT score by almost 100 points! Prior to working with TTP, I had studied on my own to take the GMAT and after being waitlisted at a Top school, I knew that improving my score would help strengthen my application. Working full time, it was hard to get the energy to study and make the most of my time. My Target Test Prep tutor really pushed me and made everything seem so much more manageable. Even though I had used all of the ?top? GMAT books to study, including the Manhattan guides, my tutor was able to teach me strategies and techniques that I had never seen before. These strategies made all the difference for me. I met with my tutor for three hours for three weeks and he gave me additional Target GMAT material to get through during the week to improve my skillset and time management. His targeted practice questions were invaluable and his teaching manner was patient and VERY encouraging. I would highly recommend Target Test Prep to anyone who needs some structure in studying and is looking to improve their score significantly. Once I learned the shortcuts and strategies that my tutor taught me, it was almost fun to do the GMAT questions, feeling like I was actually beating the GMAT! My tutor is super knowledgeable about quant strategies, which is what we focused on. He was always available if I had a question and super supportive as I am a nervous standardized test taker. Even with a time crunch, my tutor was able to gauge my weaknesses and really focus in on areas that would significantly improve my score. I highly recommend Target Test Prep.

After studying on my own for nine months with no major improvements in my GMAT score, I was able to raise my score by 70 points after six weeks with Jeff's help. We met twice a week for one-on-one tutoring, and Jeff led me through the easy to use curriculum. After using several different GMAT prep companies' materials, the Target Test Prep system was much more useful in my GMAT preparation. The curriculum Jeff assisted in developing is thorough and easy to follow. The large volume of study materials is often overwhelming with other programs, but Jeff was able to break down each lesson into consumable chunks with the format Target Test Prep follows. Jeff tailored our tutoring sessions to target my weaknesses and structured my study sessions in between. Overall, I was happy to have found Jeff and Target Test Prep to finally hit my target GMAT score. Great curriculum, great design, great content, and great instruction. I wouldn't have gotten into my number one school without him.

Totally Comprehensive Material That Cuts Through the GMAT BS and Makes It a Manageable/Beatable Test

June 18, 2015
  • Teacher: Jeff Miller
  • Recommended forVerbal: No  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 630 After: 740

The Target Test Prep GMAT Quant Course is easily the most comprehensive and thoughtful offered anywhere. By the time I had found TTP, I had used a number of other materials to prepare for the GMAT. However, I did not find the success I was searching for. Enter Target Test Prep. From Day 1, I could tell the TTP course curriculum was different. The entire ?online textbook? felt both extensive and manageable. I scanned the list of chapters and thought ?That?s it? This is doable.? I saw the road to a better score and I bought into their system. I didn?t work any harder than I had before I took my first test, but the curriculum forced me to work smarter by connecting the dots between concepts. I learned to anticipate answers and think like a GMAT question writer. I turned Data Sufficiency questions from obstacles into quick responses that allowed me to gain time back that I would need on the harder problem solving questions. Perhaps the greatest compliment I can pay TTP is that there wasn?t a single question on the actual GMAT that I wasn?t ready for. The test threw me all of its tricks, and I was ready for every single one. Going in I felt prepared. It should go without saying that the process was instrumental not only in boosting my knowledge base, but also in increasing my test-taking confidence. Although I spent almost all of my time with TTP on quant (aside from 5 hours with a fabulous verbal TTP tutor), I credit my improvements on math AND verbal to the TTP crew. In the end, my score jumped 110 points from the 72nd percentile to the 97th in four months. I credit the team at TTP, with taking my score to the level that I felt it should be. If you find yourself similarly frustrated with your progress on the GMAT, look no further than Target Test Prep. Spend the time with them and you?ll be amazed at how well you will do and how much they will take care of you as their student.
