TTP Review - Worth the money

November 25, 2024

  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 700 After: 740

Strengths: - Breadth of questions - In-depth theory on each question type - Analytics and ability to work on weak points - Chat function and ability to easily clarify doubts with anyone from TTP team. Would make the product better: Personally felt - that there could be a few SUPER ULTRA hard Quant tests to prepare for 805+ level questions that come on the GMAT. Honestly, TTP is worth the investment. I started my GMAT prep by using free resources, but then you waste so much time figuring out what is the best resource for you. Signing up for TTP removes those worries. It also prepares you for every single question type that could possibly come on the GMAT - that I believe is the USP. It completely removes all doubt and apprehension of being underprepared. If you complete TTP properly and extensively - you should have a very good chance at a high score. Also I reached out to Scott/Jeff for more tailored advice regarding my worries and issues on the actual GMAT exam - and they almost always responded within 24 hours - which was very beneficial.

Comprehensive, ideal for targeted practice

November 25, 2024
  • Teacher: Scott
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: Yes

While the course is comprehensive and indeed lengthy, TTP is what you make of it. For example, in verbal I needed a structured process to go around solving questions as opposed to relying on gut intuition. For quant, I needed topic specific questions to really nail down concepts such as probabilities. By effectively strategizing how to use the course, I was able to pick out exactly what I needed to succeed and because of the comprehensiveness, still receive sufficient practice in sub-topics. In my opinion, TTP is best utilized if you have an understanding of where your strengths and weaknesses are to utilize your time most effectively.

I used TTP for four months whilst preparing for the GMAT, going from novice to expert level. I ended up scoring 695 on the GMAT Focus (98th percentile) with the help of the program. The program provides a great insight into how the exam is formatted and how it functions. More importantly, it has thorough chapters which cover all aspects of the quant and verbal aspects of the exam in great detail. There is a detailed data collection of your responses in the background which also allows for great reflection on areas to improve. Overall I highly recommend TTP.

Target Test Prep, Worth the Investment

There is a lot of discourse around the larger study programs and with the free options out there, why would you pay $600 for a study program? For me, it was about the structure and knowing what I was doing was the right thing. No one program is perfect for everyone, but for me TTP was close to it. They had great explanations of each concept in the GMAT and thousands of well worded practice questions. I would suggest mixing in some questions from other sources throughout your study, but having a good base to work from is key. Don't get me wrong, the course is long, and the questions hard. The GMAT is no joke and for many people it takes a lot of work to get a good score (me included). But take your time, some people can get there in a couple months but many people take much longer. TTP may not be for you, but it was instrumental in my success and I owe the team a lot! (Score was a 695 in the GMAT focus edition)

TTP Accelerated plan - 775 Focus 1st attempt

November 19, 2024

I personally used the TTP accelerated study plan which includes comprehensive strategy guides for Verbal and DI sections and just the sectional tests for Quantitative Reasoning (since I am already strong in quant foundations). Overall, I found the curriculum quite comprehensive, and covers all conceivable concepts that could be tested on the GMAT. The course is well structured and paced, giving you quite a bit of practice along the way, which helps with question timing and speed as well. The pricing model is also quite competitive compared to other courses out there. Highly recommend!

TTP was instrumental in my 200 point score increase

November 1, 2024
  • Teacher: TTP

When I took my first practice test without any studying I placed in the first percentile in both math and data. Fast forward 4.5 months later and I was able to achieve 88th and 96th percentile in those sections. TTP isn't easy. The course took longer than I expected. I studied for multiple hours a day, 6 days a week for 4 months straight, but the payoff is worth it. TTP is comprehensive and in many ways harder than the actual test so that when you take the exam problems seem less challenging. The quantitative sections of TTP were the most helpful for me. I hadn't taken a math course in over 8 years, but TTP's plan built my knowledge and confidence up gradually over the course of the program.

Great GMAT course with comprehensive material

October 27, 2024
  • Teacher: Target Test Prep
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 650 After: 750

While looking for a comprehensive GMAT course, I came across TTP and took a free 5 day trial to explore the contents of the course. The way the course is structured for all 3 sections, with detailed textual explanation of concepts followed by examples and practice problems, looked perfect for me and subscribed to their maximum learning plan. Verbal section was my weakest and I had very little confidence in improving my verbal ability score before using TTP. With the help of clear concept explanations, combined with a lot of practice problems which are very much close to real GMAT level, I was able to improve from 45 percentile to 84 percentile. For each chapter in verbal section, along with the skills to identify the correct answer, TTP also focuses on ways to identify the wrong answers, which was a game changer for me in improving my accuracy drastically. The thorough and detailed quant and data insights material made sure I learnt and practiced every concept that can be expected in real GMAT. The practice questions are carefully curated and are very close to the real GMAT exam, which made sure I had right amount of practice before attempting the actual exam. TTP team also offers great support by resolving the queries and clearing doubts if any, in a quick time. TTP also provides efficient error tracker, which helped me do timely analysis on where I stand and my areas of improvement. With the help of TTP I was able to score 705 GMAT Focus score (Q90, V83, DI82) and I would like to thank the whole team for being part of my journey.

260 point increase thanks to TTP

October 14, 2024
  • Teacher: Target Test Prep
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 440 After: 750

My score improved from 435 (first mock) to 695 (actual exam) thanks to TTP. I am not a fan of blindly solving tons of practice questions (this simply does not work for me), so for my GMAT preparation, I was looking for a course that, first of all, would teach me all the necessary theoretical material. TTP does exactly that: they lead you through all the necessary topics and offer you tons of problems to practice along the way. All the material is presented in a structured and clear way, starting with basics and going all the way to the most advanced topics. I would like to thank TTP especially for the quant part: my score went from as low as 61 to 86! Another point worth mentioning: apart from providing you with quality contents, TTP lifts off the burden of structuring the preparation on your own. Looking back, if I had had to search for all the material and systemize it on my own, my preparation would have taken much longer and would have been much more stressful. Instead, I could rely on TTP and focus solely on learning the contents that I needed for GMAT. Overall: totally recommended!

TTP got me a 99th %ile Score

September 30, 2024
  • Teacher: Self-Study
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: No
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: N/A After: 760

After only 5 weeks of studying, TTP got me from a 615 on my first mock to a 715 (99th %ile) on my first official GMAT FE. I followed their "mission" based plan, trying to complete a mission each day or two of studying, and after getting through their Quant and DI sections, I felt incredibly prepared for the real test. The questions were extremely comparable to test day, so it felt like completing just another practice quiz. The sheer amount of practice problems you get through TTP and the ability to make custom practice quizzes were the stand-out features for me, since I'm someone who learns by repetition. I'd highly recommend TTP to anyone, especially if you're down to crank through a lot of work quickly, since you can pay for it month to month and potentially save some cash, but honestly, if I'd started my GMAT journey earlier, I'm confident TTP could've gotten me an even higher score with further practice.

Target Test Prep One month Flexible Plan Review

  • Teacher: Target Test Prep
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: N/A After: 715

The flexibility that the program offers is great. The ability to work on and choose your own schedule was a big selling point of the program. It meant that I could take up more on the days that I had the time and energy to do so, while also being able to take up less on the days that wer a little hectic and I could not put in as much effort as I would have liked to. The lessons are well thought out and well structured and the number of questions that you get exposure to, through the chapter tests, lesson tests and dedicated reviews is great. The number of questions one gets exposure to encourages you to find alternative approaches to questions which is quite helpful for the more difficult questions on the GMAT.

Target Test Prep is the best program out there, bar none. I read reviews across several forums before signing up, and the free trial allowed me to test their product first. Once I saw how good it was, I subscribed. I needed support with Quant and Data Sufficiency questions primarily, and I love that they group these together. Their program is very detailed and the UI / UX is better than the actual GMAC. The explanations are thorough, their strategies help, and the content is basically endless. The team may just be the best part, they are very responsive to any questions and really helpful.

Mastering the GMAT with TTP

I started preparing with TTP and haven't looked back since. The course is really good and has the philosophy that EVERY portion of the GMAT is skill based and hence CAN be learned and mastered ! I really enjoyed the content also which is easy to grasp and is very well written. The program helped me a lot to identify which sections I am weak at, the reason I am weak in those sections and finally how can I master those sections. Practicing with TTP is well worth the time you invest in it as it will definitely improve your score. Overall I can say, without any doubt, that TTP played a vital role in me achieving the score of 725 in my first attempt.

TTP has been essential to my GMAT journey. I started with a 475 on my first GMAT diagnostic and felt really uneasy about taking the test. Fortunately, TTP has an organized and straightforward learning plan that allowed me to review material I previously knew as well as learning new topics that I was unfamiliar with. TTP has so many practice questions which allowed me to really hone in on the GMAT topics. I’m very glad I used TTP and am certain it can help others get great results.

1 Month Target Test Flexible Preparation Review

June 4, 2024
  • Teacher: Target Test Prep

  • GMAT ScoresBefore: N/A After: N/A

I wrote the GMAT Focus exam after 1 month of preparation using Target Test Prep and scored 705. My baseline on a diagnostic MBA . com official mock was 615 before I started using TTP. What really stood out about TTP was the structured approach it used to ensure that you don't miss out on mastering certain topics. I used TTP for the quantitative mostly and the structure really does help when you have to study 15+ topics because it could get overwhelming otherwise. I used the accelerated approach which allowed me to get through the content quite rapidly as I aimed at completing 1 topic per day. It is nice that TTP has the option of this approach as it is very efficient and effective for anyone who comes into it with a somewhat decent quant baseline. After completing all the chapters, I created custom tests to do question banks of questions that I had not yet done as well as questions that I had gotten wrong previously. This customization really is a standout tool that could be utilized to address pain points and brush over topics that aren't understood fully yet. Overall, Target Test Prep was the right program for me to use it provided structure and measurable progress tracking which helped lead me to the point where I was ready to write the office GMAT Focus exam with confidence.

Top quality course for studying the material thoroughly with great questions and explanations

Well structured course with great questions. The interface is great and easy to use and the team was prompt and helpful (even of reddit). Not having to plan myself and just being able to trust and follow the course helped me study without wasting much time. It was so thorough and detailed which was great. The chapters tests and review tests were helpful as both a gauge to see how well I was at the topic but also to review, come back and test myself again. TTP set the base for me to do well and rest came to fine tuning the test day with mocks and practice. Also, the calendar view worked well for me as it always put under pressure knowing how much time I had ahead of me to finish the course which helped me focus.

TTP's Structured Preparation Approach Helped Me Raise My Score 90 Points!

June 1, 2024
  • Teacher: Target Test Prep
  • Recommended forVerbal: No  Math: No
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: N/A After: N/A

Target Test Prep was the single most impactful GMAT preparation service I used, specifically for the quant section. As someone with little experience in math, I scored a 29 percentile on the quant section of my diagnostic test. It was very apparent I needed a crash course, so I purchased a TTP subscription. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the decision. TTP provided a comprehensive review of each topic that appears in the quant section. You cover each topic by reading short digestible passages and immediately applying the concept to practice problems. Instead of becoming bogged down by lengthy readings, you learn a new concept, validate your understanding, and move on. This approach makes the course significantly more fun and engaging. At the end of each section you are given practice tests of easy, medium, and hard difficulty. This organization forces you to both master the basics and apply new concepts to unfamiliar problems. Through TTP, I improved to 71 percentile in quant and raised my overall score by 90 points! Highly recommend.

Perfect for Filling in my Weaknesses

May 29, 2024

TTP is an outstanding resource that covers every topic that ever be on the GMAT focus in great detail. If you follow the course as its laid out and really put in effort while studying, you are pretty much guaranteed to get a great score. I had also started on this path of completing every course before I realized I was not going the finish the course at my 5-10 hr/week pace by when I wanted to take the GMAT. So instead, I pivoted to picking and choosing which missions (lessons) to do and was able to fill in my weaknesses very successfully. TTP practice quizzes were also instrumental in my adapting to the quant section. I was able to take essentially as many practice quizzes and each time focused on making sure I took no longer than 2 minutes on a question. Doing this timing practice on quizzes rather than official mba.com practice tests allowed my actual practice tests to be much more effective in my studying.
