If you are beginning to prepare for GMAT and are unsure of where to start your Quant preparation from then please do not think beyond the eGMAT Quant course. This course is the perfect start for someone who wants to brush up all the quant skills needed for the GMAT. The structure of this course is such that in each topic section, along with the revision of the concepts there are lots of practice problems which include OG guestions, for practice. This enables the student to revise the concepts of a topic and then do a thorough practice of the questions related to that topic as well helping in a all round practice and revision of the topic.
For anyone else, the Quant scholaranium is the perfect source of practice with a lot of GMATlike Quant questions. These are the closest to the GMAT level that questions that I have seen across varied sources of questions.
The course also offers live online prep sessions where the experts show how to solve questions in the fastest manner. These sessions are topic wise and follow a pre-scheduled calendar. Although if one is not up to date or ready for a session then that person can also view the recorded sessions for this.

Hi Everybody,
GMAT is not an easy stuff to crack. Anyone thinking about giving one should understand that. Quant and Verbal covers a number of topics that we might have or haven't studied in our school or college level. GMAT requires thorough study, continuous practice and building up skills to apply learned concepts in 2min/question.
I have been a hardworking, good and intelligent student (At least i and few around considered that) throughout my formal education. Going through my initial phases of GMAT preparations, i found myself weak and incapable in Verbal. Reason wasn't that i didn't knew the concepts but I LACKED BASICS TO APPLY THESE CONCEPT AND RULES. Partly, because of education setup in my part of world. I had no idea of Critical Reasoning and Critical Reading to begin with. Though i knew grammar rules, i never studied english/verbal with the intent of Understanding Meaning and never focused on "words" that build the context of a sentence. Therefore, i wasn't able to grasp the GIST of passage while going through CR and RC.
I took annual leaves to finalize my preparations for GMAT 2016 version. I went through Manhattan Quantitative Guides and Official GMAT Guide. I attempted Verbal CR , SC and RC questions on Beat The GMAT & GmatClub and was swept away. I realized before the test that i am gonna fail miserably in Verbal. On top of that, i attempted a Verbal Ability Quiz on e-GMAT while surfing internet for some tweaks and shortcuts for good verbal score. I was dead from inside after i had given the test. The DAY came and rest is history.I was jolted at such a magnitude by the TEST that i kept quiet for few days. Not because my first attempt was very bad but because i failed to understand and answer most of CR and RC questions with conviction. I made a promise to myself that i wont stop trying till i master GMAT. e-GMAT ability test was in the back of my mind since my first ability quiz. The explanations provided for the questions presented such a fine and refined method to unfold the puzzles in a typical CR, RC passage that i didn't give a second thought and bought the Verbal Online Package. I will go through key highlights of each verbal part that may provide an insight beneficial for you.
Generally candidates think SC is about learning grammar rules, but it is more than that. It is about logic and meaning of a sentence. Every sc question in egmat builds your grammar skills on blocks of meaning and logic. I will give it a 4.5/5.
Initially i laughed at the concept of prethinking. How could you prethink an answer? Let me tell you, it is the best method to ace the CR. No other way around and egmat is best at it whether you are a native or non native. The process of identifying reason behind a conclusion and drawing logical scenarios in mind while making assumptions help you to master any CR passage. Level of Questions are by far the best and very Official GMAT like.
A lot has been said about the quality of RC content. I was praying for easy RC passages in my 1st GMAT Test and i got 3 ( 2 passages comprised first 8 questions). Since RC passages consume a lot more time, students normally falters and score poorly. The 7 tips available in Basics of RC will ease your mind in deconstructing any passage easily. There are enough details about each type of question. I hardly answered any question correctly on RC and now i rarely mark a wrong answer choice. Having said that, there will be some genre of passages that you may not feel confident about.
As i am going through my preparations, i have noticed a remarkable change in my understanding of SC , CR and RC. Though it took me some time, i can now apply given methods and techniques to answer any question. A giant leap forward is that i can easily figure out the wrong answer choices. If anyone has doubt about the course, i will recommend to buy Scholaranium. Those 900+ questions builds your accuracy in a scientific way.
I will definitely share another review after official test about the methodologies that may benefit a few interested candidates.

E-gmat quant for 50-51

I had opted for e-mat online course both for quant and verbal. I always thought that quant is my strong area and referred to only the verbal section before I appeared for gmat test. I scored 48 in the real test. While preparing the test again, I referred to the quant section as well and realized there were many week areas I had in my knowledge for Quant. Though I find that many question of e-gmat are too lengthy for real test but they are a very helpful in building the advanced concepts. I recommemnt e-gmat quant if you target 50-51 in the real test.
Detailed, Comprehensive, and Simple to apply.

I began my Quant preparation with E-Gmat around July 2017. I started with the number properties module, which I really love, I believe is a very well designed module, full of detailed concepts , but at the same time very easy to apply. To me, it is one of the best modules of Egmat. The rest are a great set of tools that can equip you to attack any Quant question that you face, from the easiest to the most hard/difficult one.
The Quant Platform is very easy to navigate and very straight forward, as it builds up in the concepts that you are learning. I must say that taking a quick glance at the content load for the first time might make you feel a bit scare, nevertheless, E-gmat has been able to bring a very high level of simplicity to the learning and application of the concepts.
Lastly, the support team is always helpful, giving you detail feedback on the type of strategies that you need to follow in order to achieve your goals. One thing I love about this company is that it is always trying to bring a new product to ease the learning and help you get to your target. For Example: Scholaranium, Tutor, etc. as I write this review I see a new thing called your study plan, and I ll be all over that module.
My journey continues with the confidence that I will achieve my goals, since I have a team behind me supporting and believing that yes I can do it.

I came to know about e-GMAT through BTG and I cannot thank enough for advise. The videos, courseware provided by e-GMAT made the learning an easy task. They were light and helped me brush up my concepts very well. Notes were easy to make as that would not only help you revise, but also create a handy notebook for you to skim through while you're on the move. This tip helped me a lot and I would really recommend it to you all as well.
e-GMAT provides you a number of key strategies that you must keep in mind while preparing for GMAT. These strategies seem very time consuming in the beginning, but within no time, you start to internalise them. My fear had transformed into a structured learning methodology wherein i could always fall back to previous step in event of doubt. I am now more confident in my approach and my Quant score has steadied between Q49-Q51 range.
As I'm a re-taker, I would like to add a word of appreciation for the support team who have always backed me up as and when needed.
Thank you e-GMAT once again and thanks to all those who read my review till the very end. I hope I was able to motivate a few of you out there like me, who may have totally given up on acing the GMAT.
All the best to you all !!

Best tool to improve the required core skill to crack GMAT verbal

Over a year ago, I took my first GMAT exam. I ended up getting 590(V-19, Q-49) and was totally confused on how to improve my verbal skills. Verbal skills, unlike math skills, has to come naturally. This was my perception before and I started reading novels, business magazines and what not. I was actually running out of time and four months later my friends suggested me to take up E-GMAT. I started by taking a free trial and 5 days later I got totally involved with E-GMAT that I started enjoying learning verbal.
Then I was sure that this the course that is going to help me beat the GMAT and I have to stick to this. SC/CR/RC syllabus has been beautifully structured so as to understand the most simple to the most complex verbal problems that may come in GMAT. E-GMAT not just gives us concepts, it also has a unique formula for SC/CR/RC questions. These formulas and structural way of solving a verbal problem cannot be learnt anywhere. Believe me, I have wasted lot of money on various study materials. They all can give you concepts. I am not an Einstein to apply every concept I learn to solve a problem. This is were E-GMAT makes a difference and gives you a way to solve a SC/CR/RC.
Once we get familiar with the structure to solve the verbal problems, it tests our understanding in the forms of Quiz and assessments at the end of every session. This gives you immense confidence after learning a concept and trying it out on the real time GMAT verbal questions. The other thing which I love about this E-GMAT course is the Scholaranium part. This is almost like every other courses, which consists of lot of questions and lets you practice. But the beauty in E-GMAT is, you can see where you go wrong within SC/CR/RC. For example, if you practice a set of SCs today, the E-GMAT displays the score and improvement areas also. I usually take up S20, C20 and R4 questions everyday in verbal prep. You also have the option of customizing the scholaranium.
I have scheduled my Exam on 17th of Nov'17 and I have become confident about my verbal ability with one month time in hand. All this is possible only because of E-GMAT's structured teaching and its incessant ability to concentrate and improve on our core competencies to crack the GMAT.
This course is highly recommendable for non-native English speakers and native English speakers can sit back and enjoy the structure of teaching the Grammar :).
Wish me luck for my exam and hope my review helped someone who is struggling with verbal like me.
Thank you and all the best to all!!

In my preparation for GMAT, I really appreciate the e-GMAT material. The learning methodology is really good as it takes care of the learning curve of a non-native English speaker. After each concept you will get some practice questions which strengthens your concept in a really strong way. Verbal Online material is really, really awesome!!
I have gone through number of study materials but I found e-GMAT the best.
All the questions are thoughtfully made and structured. I think e-GMAT team would have spent lot of hours to define such high quality questions. I have studied lot of material and I found almost all fresh questions in e-GMAT. Hats off to the team.
The scholaranium, set of practice questions, is really helpful as it also helps to analyses your performance on timing and accuracy in different areas of verbal and quant. The detailed analysis can then be used to focus on weak areas. Complete material of e-GMAT has been thoughtfully strategize , defined and then laid out.

I was recommended by many people about the Verbal online prep course and I took the course after the advice. The course is well structured and provides insights on conceptual as well as technical parts of the exam. It systematically breaks down the course into type of questions asked during the GMAT. My verbal score improved from V24 to V41 which is a drastic improvement I believe. Before the course, I could not find out what mistakes I was doing. This course changes your approach of answering all the questions - SC, RC and CR . I would recommend this course to the students who are getting consistent low scores in verbal.

e-Gmat is a great platform to prepare for GMAT verbal. Specially, for preparation of sentence correction and RC, e-gmat is a great help.
It helps in strengthen the necessary concepts for sentences corrections. They have plenty of small videos explaining necessary concepts. Everything will be explained in very logical way. For non native students its the ultimate solution.
The RC videos were really helpful as well. e-GMAT provides you a number of key strategies that you must keep in mind while reading through RCs.
The best part is that, they have a standard GMAT question bank, which can be used for my preparation.

One of my friend suggested me to take up e-GMAT for verbal. For a non-native speaker, e-GMAT explains the basics that lays the foundation much need to improve on Verbal. The SC course is very comprehensive and it covers a lot of stuff. If you have been preparing for GMAT for long, and still don't feel confident of your SC skills, then e-gmat SC is for you.
The course is interactive and has tests as per the topic. It refreshes all the topics that you have read from Manahattan SC Correction book, and teaches through a video (if I am not wrong, hearing instructions is a better way to learn language syntax etc. than just reading).
The course has been divided into 3 levels and each level has a separate qualifying test. The explanations are lucid and concise. The methods used to explain the questions is also nice.
This also has verbal scholaranium and the features that benefited me the most are:
You can customize the test according to your needs.
A good place to clear your doubts.
You can track your progress and improve on on weak areas.
On the dashboard, you can see how have you performed on various areas of the verbal section such as parallelism in SC, Strengthen in CR etc.
Overall, I will highly recommend this course for any non-native to learn sentence correction through this course. Even if you know all the fundamentals of SC, then also the course will help you gain more grounds. Because of this course that I did, my general English usage has also improved, which is reflected in the mails that I type to client and seniors, and people are impressed with my improved English.
Thanks a lot e-gmat, once again to create such a wonderful course.

EGMAT Verbal Online - an excellent course for concept building

I came to know about EGMAT from my friends sometime back. After that I have followed their free webinars before taking their online course.
The Verbal online course is very essential for students , who are out of touch from the correct concepts of English. First I started with SC in which I found some very new concepts with respect to Verb tense, Modifiers and Parallelism. The whole course materials are divided topic wise with examples in such a way that students can really learn and practice simultaneously, increasing their confidence and hold on the topic.
With reference to CR , I was really impressed with the Inference chapters (newly added), which contain all the concepts with examples to strengthen the basics. I can assure that this new Inference module is an unique of its kind which I didn't find in other books or free online materials.
Regarding RC , I can mention that the course provides ample concepts with respect to reading strategies and correct "to the point" answering of questions.
In the course, I find the Scholaranium as the most important tool which will help to go through different TYPES of questions. The range of the question types will surely help to build the concepts and practice.
Finally, EGMAT has a very good Student - Teacher interaction system. I ask numerous questions , which are all answered in a quick turn around time with proper examples and explanations.
Overall EGMAT is one of the best course for GMAT preparation.

Best Verbal Course for GMAT preparation

I gave GMAT last year and didn't score well in the Verbal section because of which my overall score was very low. I did self-preparation and referred to several books available in the market. After some introspection, I understood that my basics in verbal, specially in SC, were very weak. I joined different forums to explore the best Verbal course available in the market.
In came e-GMAT. As I had already on preparatory books and materials, I wanted to try before joining/subscribing any course. So, I started my free trial of e-GMAT Verbal Online course for a week and also attended a webinar on SC. After going through few topics/lessons in the free trial, I got to know that not only my basics were weak but also my approach to the questions. I decided to purchase SC Course and it turned out so good that I upgraded my purchase to Verbal Online.
e-GMAT Verbal Online course is designed in such a way that it not only teaches the fundamentals of each SC, CR and RC but also embeds a step-by-step approach to any question. For e.g., for explanation of any SC question, there is standard step-by-step procedure to approach a question and this helps in attempting any level of question. After going through all the SC topics, I am used to apply this approach which breaks down the argument to the level where I can easily understand the meaning and apply the concepts that I have learned in the course.
Critical Reasoning is one of the most typical part of the verbal section and e-GMAT Verbal Online course provides enough explanation and techniques to solve any level of CR questions. Again, the standard approach for all CR questions helps in breaking down the arguments to simple building blocks and applying the concepts.
The best part of RC course is that it teaches, quite effectively, how to read and comprehend long complicated passages in a very short amount of time. And also, how to summarise the passages in order to understand the main point.
e-GMAT Verbal Online Course has helped me to improve my Verbal score by solidifying my basic concepts and providing me with a set of procedures to solve even the toughest questions with ease.
I would highly recommend e-GMAT Verbal Online Course to all those who are struggling with their Verbal section and who want to do well.
All the Best!!

Verbal Prep for GMAT made simple

October 4, 2017- Teacher:

I took the GMAT for the first time way back in November 2015 and scored an abysmal 660 subsequent to which I joined the E-GMAT course after reading the reviews on multiple forums. My verbal wasn't bad considering the fact that I had scored a 99%ile in CAT (entrance test for admissions to premier Indian B Schools). However I lacked a structured approach to crack verbal problems and E-GMAT gave me that approach. After 6 months of diligent studies, I scored a 710 with an impressive 38 in Verbal. I think the major standout points of the course were
1. Structured approach to crack SC problems with a 3 step process comprising understanding the meaning, error analysis and elimination. I believe if you follow this approach over time it becomes intuitive and the time to solve SC problems falls dramatically
2. Secondly, the approach to RC too was very comprehensive. I always believed that RC never required an approach to crack the passage. However the 7 step approach to solve RCs has considerably improved my accuracy in RC to well over 80%
3. Finally in case of CR the pre-thinking approach to solving CR problems has been really beneficial. CR was one of my weakest areas a year and half back and I have made great strides in this section
Unfortunately I could not get an admit in the top 10 US B Schools that I was targeting and hence I have decided to retake the GMAT to get a 740 plus score. I have still continued with the E-GMAT course and have started scoring in the 710-730 range in mocks and hope to cross the 740 barrier.
I would recommend this course for Verbal to anyone who is not a native English speaker. I believe it is one of the most comprehensive, structured and relevant GMAT verbal courses

A most comprehensive course ideally suited for non-native speakers

e-GMAT is IMHO one of the best options, if not the best option, for non-native speakers of English when it comes to GMAT preparation. I like it that nothing is taken for granted when it comes to Sentence Correction, with all the important concepts carefully explained with just the right amount of details. Reading Comprehension is probably the most terrifying section for the vast majority of non-native speakers, given the need to digest so much information in such a short time, but I love how e-GMAT breaks down the process into seven key reading strategies, not to mention specific techniques for tackling Main Point, Inference, Detail, and Structure questions. I find myself re-reading passages as I become more familiar with e-GMAT's strategies and techniques. The Scholaranium also rocks; no test prep company can devise with questions that are exactly in line with the real questions we see on the GMAT exam, but e-GMAT comes rather close. All in all, I would recommend e-GMAT to anyone, even native speakers of English.

Need to write a few words about E-GMAT Verbal online course.
I started with V20 and reached V38 with the help of this course.
Extremely concise content and attention to detail will help you a lot .
If you are a GMAT aspirant , then you must be knowing that practicing set of questions with right approach is what leads to GMAT success. and In this course I find the same approach.
I would strongly recommend this course for every individual who is looking for improvements.
My Take out of 10.
SC: 10/10 : Must
CR : 9/10 : Good
RC : MUST
On top of this ; E-GMAT provides Verbal Scholaranium tool. This is only tool where you able to find actual GMAT like questions and data analytics that helps to know where we stand. I am not marketing for E-GMAT but believe me I tried lots of resources and found this is the right one.

Not great, but value for money

At present I have spent about 3 month for Verbal online. I have finished a SC part. CR and RC are still in the progress.
I have mixed feelings, because there are some issues:
- technical issues with videos
- individual topics/parts of the course are not of the same level of quality: some are great and some are less than average
- examples and exercises made by E-GMAT may be a bit different from logic of GMAT
- explanations of E-GMAT of their own examples and exercises aren't deep enough
Nevertheless, I don't want want to underestimate the value of the course:
1. Great structure for learning (you don't need to plan what to do next) - it actually saves time.
2. Very structured explanation of the content of the GMAT - you begin to understand what GMAC actually wants
3. Very structured explanation of official official questions - EGMAT provides essential supplement to official explanations of the OG questions, which are often not very deep ("out of scope", "irrelevant", "awkward"), so that you start to understand what GMAC actually mean, when it says that the sentence construction is awkward.
These features will make the learning much more efficient, saving time and money.
I would recommend this course for 2 reasons:
1. It is worth the price.
2. One of the few actual self-study only courses for GMAT.
