I have been procrastinating my GMAT preparation for a long time. This March, I decided to prepare for GMAT and enrolled for Egmat course. E-GMAT has been great companion during my journey to prepare for GMAT. Course offered by E-Gmat is wonderful. I subscribed for E-GMAT verbal online course as I wanted to study at my own pace. As, I started learning with Verbal section, I really thanked god for choosing such a great course. SC is the best course offered by eGMAT. Sentence correction topics have been explained in such a detailed manner with very nice examples that I can challenge any one that he/she can score great in sentence correction part if one learn and follow all techniques and methods explained in the course. In reading comprehension part, I learnt how to comprehend instead of just reading by following E-Gmat strategy. Time is very important factor in solving passages. E - Gmat strategies have been very helpful in managing time and solve primary purpose questions or inference questions correctly. Then, there are various kind of quizzes which helped me to fortify my concepts and know my weakness in particular topics. There is a section in online course with name scholaranium which tests my ability in various topics and show my progress through detail statistics. I am still preparing for GMAT and I have been able to improve my score from v28-V34. I am planning to write the exam in July. I really recommend Egmat course.

awesome and changed my outlook on approaching Verbal

June 11, 2017

I had given my GMAT in december (640- V29, Q49) and at that point of time I used to absolutely dread SC. I found them really mundane and could never get myself to focus. While my quant was always strong, and CR and RC were average, SC's just didn't come to me naturally. Each time I would come across an SC in the middle of my mocks, I would not able to figure out what actually the error is and what is being tested.
Then, my friend introduced me to e-GMAT and I cannot thank him enough for having done that. After that i started going through Verbal SC section and the LIVE sessions conducted by expert, the videos provided by e-GMAT made them a whole lot of fun. I would stay up till late night, watching the videos, almost like I'd be watching a sitcom. They were light and helped me brush up my concepts very well. I had read someone's review about making handwritten notes while watching videos and then transferring those onto Evernote at the end of each day as that would not only help you revise, but also create a handy notebook for you to skim through while you're on the move. This tip helped me a lot and I would really recommend it to you all as well. I made my notes nice and colourful and added screenshots and links to them. Going over them later seemed fun because of all the colours I had added. (let me know if you want me to share them with you!)

The SC videos were really helpful as well. e-GMAT provides you a number of key strategies that you must keep in mind while solving SCs. The one strategy that worked wonders for me was their 3 step process. Meaning is the key combined with some predefined grammar rules. These strategies seem very time consuming in the beginning, but within no time, you start to internalise them.

The other thing that I absolutely loved about the VLP was the scholaranium. Since I knew that SC was my weak point, I had decided to do atleast 20 SC every day, along with 4 RCs and 20 CRs. I used to create a lot of SC Ability quizzes and while I started with a 29% accuracy (with no time left to answer the last one), by the end I had 96% accuracy which was a great achievement for me. Now I don't spend too much time understanding and even the answers were coming to me naturally.

Thank you e-GMAT once again and thanks to all those who read my review till the very end. I hope I will be able to score well in my upcoming attempt in July.

All the best to you all !!

Best Course to improve Verbal Score by using meaning approach and not only by grammar rules

June 10, 2017

Hi All,

I got to know about the e-GMAT courses from the reviews of GMAT Club. Before getting in touch with e-GMAT team , I was doing self study of Manhattan Sentence Correction and although Manhattan SC book is the best material for SC preparation but as it consist of many grammar rules, it was very difficult for me to interest in SC as I was focusing mainly on learning Grammar rules but not much on the application part. After that when I got the chance to attend the SC webinar hosted by Payal, I was so amazed by seeing the approach combining the logical meaning of sentence questions and then applying the grammar rules. I observed if we have understood the meaning properly we can easily reject one or two options, as the logical meaning conveyed by these options is different from the logical meaning of sentence.

After that I opted for e-GMAT Verbal Online Course which helped me to understand the logical meaning of GMAT SC,CR and RC questions. Also the Scholaranium Testing tool has best questions and provide accurate analysis of your weak areas and your ability, accuracy for solving GMAT level questions. Before using e-GMAT courses I felt to quit the preparation for GMAT exam because of verbal but now I have huge interest in verbal GMAT questions. I was not able to take my GMAT yest because of some personal family emergencies but I have scheduled it soon. So if you really want to improve in verbal section and struggling to improve just log in e-GMATt free trial and explore the knowledge hub yourself , you will not disagree with me for sure.

Good Luck with your GMAT Journey, hope my ends with happy ending....!!!!

Structured Approach & Comprehensive Prep Material

June 9, 2017
  • Teacher: e-GMAT

  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 700 After: N/A

I'm yet to give my GMAT but I just had to write this review. A big shout out to the e-GMAT team for helping me out with my prep. This is a debrief of my journey so far and how e-GMAT has helped me improve.

The first thing I realized while prepping was that despite putting in effort, I was not seeing an improvement in my score. My diagnostic score was a 700 (Q45, V42) and all subsequent efforts were around the 700 mark - 680, 670 & 640. This obviously got me worried as I had hit the dreaded 'score plateau'.

I started going through debriefs on BTG and GMAT club to determine if there were others who were facing a similar issue. A commonality that I found was that these fellow GMAT-aspirants had signed up for the e-GMAT course and were swearing by the improved results that they saw. I had my doubts about this course and started off with the free verbal webinars conducted by Rajat from e-GMAT. I absolutely loved the webinars and promptly signed up for the e-GMAT Online course.

The prep:
I was struggling with RCs and thought that I good at SC and CR. However, I didn't have empirical data that backed this perception and there was no baseline. I decide to start from the start and the first module that I completed was Master Comprehension. This is the fundamental course for verbal and greatly helped me reorient my reading habits. The learnings are basic yet so important and I could feel the difference as I attempted RC and CR questions - improved focus and attention to detail.

Next up, I started with Scholaranium as I had to determine my baseline. This is what blew me away. Super Stuff. Schloranium is a dashboard that slices and dices your abilities in terms of strengths and weaknesses in all topics both, in quant and verbal. I started with solving all ability quizzes in quant and verbal and was amazed at the insights. I realized that I needed improvement in number properties, algebra and SC - and these were topics I thought I was good at !!!

I prioritized my study scheduled basis my strengths and weaknesses and put a countdown to my next full-length. I took my next test in about two weeks after I started my course and scored a 670 (Q43, V40). This was a big bummer but I was determined to figure out what went wrong since I was very confident going into this test. Turns out it was a timing problem - back to the drawing board. Two weeks of prep peppered with drills on e-gmat and practice from OG17, 16 & 15. Next test - 720 (Q45, V44). I can't convey what that felt like because this meant that I had surpassed the score plateau and was on my way to my target score of 750+.

My test day is a couple of weeks away and I'm now spending time in perfecting the core skills taught in the e-GMAT course and am going over fundamental principles in the concept files and yes, solving multiple sets of questions. I will definitely share my debrief post my GMAT but in the meanwhile I want to say this:

"If you're feeling stuck, disappointed or demotivated because you've hit a score plateau, don't worry. I was there too and the e-GMAT Online Prep course and OG practice has helped me overcome this. Attend Rajat's free webinars and if you like them, go ahead and buy the course because you will absolutely love the prep."

Feel free to reach out to me in the comments. All the best with your prep !

Cheers !

Initially when I started preparing for GMAT with a coaching center in Delhi, my quant was good but my verbal was not up to the mark and hence my overall score was hovering around 650-670. When I saw the reviews on GMAT club about e-gmat and checked out the site, I found it very helpful and decided to enrol. After about 4 months of preparation I took the GMAT on 24 December 2016 and got 720 (Q51, V36). I was happy to see my verbal score which had improved from V28 in the mocks to V36. All thanks to e-gmat and its easy explanation of tough concepts.

A well structured and extremely useful course

I enrolled in e-GMAT Verbal Online course and I can assure that it is one of the best course in GMAT Verbal section, especially for non-natives. Every time spent on the modules is worth the effort and energy. Each of the 3 sections - SC, CR, RC are very well structured, explained and exemplified leading to a very clear and conceptual understanding of the topic.

In SC, each of the module first strengthens the basics, runs you through the tricks applied by paper setters and backs it up with practice quizzes and OG question solving. Loved the part of Verbs and Modifiers the most because of the simplicity with which these important topics were covered.

"Prethinking" is a very useful way in CR questions and the technique to master this ability is extremely well defined in the CR section of the course. They explain in fine details the dynamics of identifying arguments and conclusions and work on these two discrete segments to further solve each question type normally asked in the exam.

In RC, the instructor explained how to "expect" what the author is trying to say using certain keywords and identifying sentence structure. This strategy although initially takes some time to master but with due practice saves a lot of time in the end. Extremely useful tips were provided to solve each question type that an RC question can be classified as.

In summary, I absolutely loved the course and would definitely recommend it to everyone who is looking to improve his verbal score! All the best!!

E-gmat Sentence correction- Best in the market

I am non-native speaker of english and in GMAT world my weakest area was verbal SC. I prepared with standard study material such as manhattan GMAT sentence correction and power score CR and even took Byjus for GMAT to improve my verbal score. But there was no improvement

Then,I attempted GMAT mock test and got 560(Verbal 27) . When i analysed my test, i realized that to improve the score ,I have to get good understanding of the SC followed by CR and RC.

Frankly for first 2 months, I went through the course. It took long because i didn't get much time to prepare. The course design is really good. It starts from basic. I highly recommend SC & CR. SC is undoubtedly best in the market. CR pre-thinking approach also helped me alot. For RC i preferred my own strategy to solve questions.

Finally, Thanks to e-gmat. I recommend Verbal online course to anyone who have problem in verbal, especially in SC and CR

Thanks,

Great course to turbocharge your preparation

June 6, 2017

After taking the first GMAT I was completely clueless as how to boost my verbal score. Having tried all the tricks and strategies mentioned in the MGMAT and powerscore verbal books I was ready to give up until a friend suggested me to take a trial e-gmat live session. I still remember Rajat mentioning multiple times why meaning is of utmost importance in SC in his first trial live session. Simple tweaks mentioned in this session boosted my mock scores to 640 and I straight away purchased the VLP (Verbal live prep). I'm planning to go for a second attempt as soon as my score in mock ups boosts to a respectable score. Will update this review soon after the second attempt.

Pros of the VLP course:
- Ease of access and simple enough instructions.
- Constant reminder mails make sure you don't slack up with the preparation.
- Audio video content material for the concept initiators are perfect and succinct.
- The live prep session are a follow up of the online content and helps to check your progress on the topic by solving real questions with other students.
- The e-gmat support staff are great in resolving your queries.

One con of the online content is that on Android flash content are not natively supported so we have to use a browser named as puffin. The experience on mobile depends upon the mobile network speed and if you are on a 3g network may the force be with you :-) Ultimately it's not recommended to use this course on mobile but you know there are times when you are traveling and want to re-review few concepts mobile browser is your only hope. The e-gmat team has also started making YouTube videos and it helps a lot if the content is on YouTube.

All in all I'm pretty hooked with this style of teaching which shows realtime feedback and would recommend it to anyone who wants to boost his or her score. Would suggest that you take a trial session before enrolling so that you are comfortable with the style.

Especially for non-native speakers, this course does wonders. It starts up with building blocks for SC and builds very nicely up to 700 level questions. For me RC and SC were most difficult subjects and E-gmat got me through it. I am not a avid reader and this was my road block for RC in GMAT. E-gmat has helped to get over this roadblock very nicely by helping me become a active reader. I am currently in my preparation stage and i have already reached from V 19 to V to V36.

E-GMAT is definitely future for Verbal prep for GMAT.

I started with my preparation of Gmat a year ago , with constant on and off .Then finally i decided to quit my job working as branch manager in public sector bank to fully concentrate on my preparation on Gmat . I gave my first Gmat a year ago with little preparation and got 490 (V19.Q38). Looking at my score i was completely dismayed and realized that i need a formal preparation to bring and meaning full result. Then after reading lots of online reviews on different courses i shortlisted E-GMAT for my preparation . SC course is really helpful! The explanations of every single OG question is detailed and helped me understand why a particular answer is right. 3-step process to reach the right answer became my habit.
- CR course is good as well. Rajat?s pre-thinking approach helped a lot. Initially, I struggled with pre-thinking approach. But, over a period of time and with practice, I started pre-thinking and could cut down on time to answer a CR question , really helped allot in solving difficult questions . They have one feature that is Scholaranium, which has more than 800+ question for quant and 700+ verbal with varying level of difficulty , giving you ample practice , which helped me improved my mock score from low 20's to mid 30's with visible improvement of my way of approaching the verbal question .For anybody looking for improving there score in verbal , dont look anywhere else .Egmat should be your first choice

e-GMAT - The best GMAT-Verbal prep course

June 3, 2017
  • Teacher: Mr. Rajat Sardana

e-GMAT is the best software that I have used till date for GMAT preparation.

During the process of GMAT preparation, I referred various GMAT books. These had primarily been prep-books and eBooks.

I have been getting a good score in quants section on mock GMATs. However, my verbal section needed improvement. Hence, I subscribed to e-GMAT verbal online and it was a good decision in retrospect.
There is a marked difference between how other prep-books are structured and how e-GMAT software is structured. e-GMAT software is very user friendly, in which concepts are explained in a structured way and after each concept application quiz are given to test learnings. e-GMAT has pool of questions in each of the section of verbal so that your SC, RC and CR concepts are made stronger.

For Critical Reasoning (CR), e-GMAT gives a framework to solve the reasoning problems. It clearly demonstrates how to segregate the argument in different categories like premise, conclusion, which helps in identifying the structural arrangements of the argument. This makes it easier to deal with the CR questions. Further, based on the kinds of questions within CR section, e-GMAT suggested different approaches to solve these questions. This prepares one well for the CR part.

Similarly for Sentence Correction (SC), e-GMAT stresses on importance of meaning analysis, by breaking the entire sentence in different parts and analysing the errors. This aided me to identify correct answer without any confusion. e-GMAT also provides extensive grammar rules to handle the SC problems. I found the grammar coverage more comprehensive as compared to some other book-based learning methods.

For Reading comprehension (RC) section, I traditionally tried to understand entire paragraph and the concept. However, e-GMAT takes a different approach for RC. e-GMAT explained how to approach the paragraphs to know what is given in passage and what is asked in the questions stems. This process improved my grasping of the paragraph contents.

When it comes to taking mock GMAT exams, e-GMAT is one of the best software. One can customize exam timing and question difficulty levels and create bespoke papers. You can create sectional time trial papers as well. E.g. I can create a RC sectional exam in which I can attempt only 4 RC passages, and set time limit for this exam as I wish. e-GMAT gives you an indicative time limit though. Each question has been marked as difficult, easy or medium kind of question, which gives students an Indication of accuracy levels at various question types.

Over the last few months, my mock verbal accuracy has gone up by average 8-10 questions in a question paper of 41 Verbal questions. Hopefully this translates into a good GMAT score for me in final exam.
Thank you e-GMAT.

I gave my GMAT in Oct 2016 in which I scored 610. The online course that I had taken had a good Quant section but not such a great verbal section, especially for non-natives. I had decided to retake the GMAT in one month again and this time I decided to purchase the Verbal Online course from e-Gmat and I wasn't disappointed at all. The kind of depth in which they cover the entire Verbal section is pretty amazing. And they start right from the scratch. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to give the GMAT again due to some reasons but I can assure you that I could see my accuracy improving by a great margin. I would surely recommend e-Gmat to everyone, especially non-natives who are looking to boost their score.

Trouble in verbal?

When I started preparing for GMAT I faced immense problem in verbal and to be specific in sentence correction. I started studying from 'Manhattan GMAT Sentence Correction' but it was difficult to apply all those rules while solving the problem. Some of my friends were also preparing for GMAT they suggested me to use e-gmat. For more than a week I used the trial version. There I studied 'verb-ed' and 'verb-ing' modifiers. The video was very lucid. After studying it I started applying it on OG. It really helped me in solving problem.

I decided to take the e-gmat verbal live prep course. The best thing about the online classes was that it was on weekends. It helped me to balance my work life with GMAT preparation. Whenever I couldn't attain the online class I used to get the recordings from e-gmat. Live prep helped me understanding the concepts very deeply. It was very interactive session.

The 'scholaranium' section of e-gmat helped me solving tougher questions. The beauty of this section is that I can set the difficulty level of questions and I can also select the various sections I want to do such as RC, CR or sentence correction. This helped me in solving problems within the stipulated time. Even time we can set against a set of questions.

Quant section did'nt trouble me, I think my engineering background helped me in it. Nevertheless, I got full length practice test from e-gmat. It definitely helped me quantitative aptitude. The verbal live prep is very well designed and I would certainly recommend it to everyone who think they need to work on their verbal section. Online faculty is very good. They clear each and every doubts. Thank you e-GMAT for making such a helpful online course. I will be appearing for GMAT in next month.

All the best to all of you who are reading this.

Thank you :)

I came across the e-gmat .com randomly while I was looking for online prep course because of no time to go to regular classes due to pressure in work . I tried free trail for 2 days and took full live prep course .

The course content is detailed and good for mainly for Non- Native speakers,
Quant: Content is very good, and best part is practice after every topic where you can know whether you understand the specified topic or not.

Verbal : Content starts from very basic where non-native speaker benefits most. I never thought RC and CR is very easy for me.But, e-gmat provide me very good detailed concept how to approach and how to analyse .

I am getting score improvement of 100 points as of now . But , i am looking for 700+ score . I need to work very hard to get that score . But, i am very happy that e-gmat provides
Scholaranium for practice where 1000+ questions with detailed analysis and OG question list too.

I purchased the e-gmat Verbal Course and I immediately found the differences with the previous resources used (mainly text books). Indeed, the course explains all the necessary notions to succeed in the GMAT verbal part.
In particular, the sentence correction section really helped me to increased my performances. I started from around V30 and right now I improved to more than V40 (in the simulation, I have not taken yet the GMAT).
I really suggest to all not-native English to buy this product to improve the performances and easily master the gmat test

During the first time I took the GMAT test, It was a terrible experience for me in verbal. I made a good score in Math (48M) and I finished this first part really confident. When I started the first question of verbal, I spent many time and I lost the main opportunity to have a good score. Unfortunatelly I knew E-gmat only few days before my the day of my test and I had not the enough time to learn the process to solve the questions as E-gmat does.
Only one day after my first attempt, I bought the Verbal Online Prep. It was one of my best investiments that I have done until today. Specially for the Sentence Correction (one of my principal weaknesses), I know that my improvement was something really significative. I passed from a begginer student level to a teacher level. I remember that when I had a tutor in person, she always made the correction with me and after the E-gmat course I can identify the errors in a way pretty similar to that of my tutor.
