The e-gmat Verbal Live Prep is a very good platform for GMAT takers. It gives an opportunity to learn concepts and practice questions in a step-wise manner.SC course is extraordinary! The explanations of every single OG question is detailed and help students see clearly why each answer choice is right or wrong. There are plenty of practice questions of various difficulty levels.CR and RC courses are also very good. The pre thinking approach in CR is great. How to eliminate a wrong option is what you will learn at e-gmat. Overall a great service. Worth (every penny) trying it!
Two words - Worth it !!

e-GMAT Verbal courseware is a step in the right direction. When I started my prep, I was confused with varied courses provided by Multiple vendors. With no specific measure, i decided to get a feel of the courses from few vendors, eGMAT being one of them. The Free trial, free sessions by Rajat alongwith with strategy plan helped me zeroed in on e-GMAT VO course. Before starting, I was doing Good on RC, average on CR & disaster on SC. With help of Verbal Online, I was not only able to retain my strong areas, but also got free of a nightmare 'SC'. The conceptual clarity, flow of understanding from SC to RC & structure courseware from eGMAT helped me improving by 7 points in Verbal section.
Though my own study plan floundered due to only effort in Verbal, thereby impacting my overall score; I would suggest anyone aiming a 700+ to put faith in eGMAT & their complete pedagogy to achieve their goals.

The verbal online is a great course for those who have demanding work schedules and cannot dedicate large chunks of time at once to studying. The course is broken down into small 20-30 minute lessons followed by check-points and practice courses. They provide a course schedule and recommended path to navigate through the course. Alternatively, if you have specific areas of weakness you want to focus on, you can skip directly to those areas.

E-GMAT is an excellent online course
It provides us with a complete set of Verbal concepts that are tested on GMAT.
It's worth paying for that
The 3 Step process thought in SC was amazing and it reduced my time to answer each SC question to less than 1 min .
Coming RC AND CR ,the strategies which were thought are were so good and easily adaptable
My scores in verbal improved from V28 to V34 in just one month

I think Egmat s Verbal Live Prep is the best course you can take for verbal and by best I mean THE BEST. Their teaching methodology is extremely systematic. I am so glad I bought this course. You should follow their process to the T and you yourself will see a vast improvement in your performance. My instructors were Neeti Sohal and Krishna. Both of them are very good, Infact Neeti is one of the best instructors they have. Anything she teaches you is like a treat. Egmat support staff is also helpful and they reply to you in time. You can always get your doubts cleared by posting them on egmat forums and the instructors reply in a detailed manner.
SC: They focus a lot on meaning and teach you the basics of gmat SC
CR: Prethinking is the biggest tool ever. Nothing can beat that
RC: Engaging in the passage and understanding the Why rather than the What
Lastly this course is pretty cost effective. You wont find anything worth full in such a price. I have significantly improved my verbal and trust me you all will too irrespective of whether you are a native or a non native.

I started preparing GMAT from last year Dec'2016 and started giving Mock tests in which I used to score 600 to 650
Once I started preparing the E Gmat Verbal course , My Mock test score has been Increased by 100 to 120
The following are pros of E Gmat Course
Pros:
1. Provides a very well structured study plan with concepts and quizzes for each section.
2. Comes with free mock exams that can generate performance analytical reports.
3. The e-GMAT time was kind enough to extend my course when I couldn't finish it in time. (The login was valid for about 6 months and they extended it for 45 days)
Regards,
Karthik

Excellent way to learn thinking

After getting an experience of 3+ years in a manufacturing sector right out of IIT Madras, I was hoping to get into some B schools to help me shape my career. The most logical step for me was GMAT. However, the first time, I tried it, I got a score of 650. This de-motivated me and I was not so sure, as to where I was going wrong. Several thoughts came to my mind, and I finally decided to join a course to analyse my mistakes.
After analyzing many courses, I signed up for E-Gmat, verbal live prep. The first few classes filled me up with excitement. I could clearly see that my approach towards solving problems earlier was severely flawed.
In just about a month's time, I was solving SC questions like a professional, I realized that this part of GMAT, which usually took me the longest, was something that was now actually saving time. CR and SC also improved drastically. More than anything, the fear of GMAT was completely gone. I enjoyed studying and felt more confident. I got a score of 710 (V37, Q49) in my second time and an admission in many good B schools such as ISB, Olin, Kelley and Ivey Richards. Had I focused more on quant I would have got a little more, but e-gmat was a savior and helped me get an extremely unexpected verbal score.
Course Work:
The live sessions are exhilarating, and the interactions with the instructor are life like. The energy felt during the course carries through out the week and helps in preparing better. Approach towards SC is path breaking. This dreaded part of GMAT is solved so easily through E-GMAT that at the end of the day, one feels that there is no reason to fear from it at all.
CR and RC also strengthened like never before. I felt very amazing, when I understood the basic reasons behind the questions in OG, when I listened to their explanations. It molded my thoughts and helped me in forming a fresh approach towards a problem.
There are also many questions in the e-gmat, which are designed specifically to enhance one's strengths in the areas, where we feel weak. The doubts are answered very nicely and the polls used in live prep is an extremely useful tool to evaluate one's progress among our peers.
During the course itself, seeing the questions asked by our peers, we can evaluate our understanding and be also aware that we are doing above average.
Software for Live Courses
I had earlier taken some online classes for various reasons. NPTEL was used in IIT earlier. But most of these online courses were a monologue and we could not express ourselves rightly , like that in a class. Here the feel was extremely different. I felt like sitting in a class, moreover, I was not un comfortable to ask questions. It was scheduled at a time, when I was always free and could give it full attention. I therefore attended all classes.
Response to emails:
I don't know how they do it, but they respond to all emails within 12 hours. It is amazing. I was extremely happy with their customer service and appreciate it a lot.
At last, I would say that e-gmat thought me how to think. It will take me beyond GMAT exam alone and would help me in general. I strongly recommend taking this course as it won't be just learning but will be 'fun' learning.

I was never weak in English, but for some reason I always lacked in verbal section . Read multiple books before signing up the verbal online course , none of which helped . Even took speed reading sessions .It eventually increased the number of words that I was able to read per minute and not the number of words I was able to comprehend . Then with the number of positive reviews, took up E-GMAT Verbal Online course . The course is a complete package for anyone who needs to start from scratch . The sentence correction course if analysed properly can help in solving 700+ SC questions with ease . Also the 3 step process helps you in the long run . The methods used in CR and RC are also quite effective . The
prethinking process that E-GMAT advocates can simply not be avoided . It is one of the very important steps to be learned to ace CR and RC. The complete package on the whole is very effective since it easily boost the performance in a short span. The scholaranium tool is a new find which cannot be found elsewhere . It can sort out the questions based on level of difficulty . Now I know where to focus on to improve .
If you are actually looking for a verbal course that can guide you to the 700+ level , E-GMAT verbal course is the best bet .

How to start learning Verbal

When I started my preparations seriously 2 months back I was really confused about how to prepare for the GMAT and particularly for the Verbal. I started solving questions and took few test to understand my knowledge level as to where I stand before starting my studies after working for 5 years. It was pretty bad something around 20 percentile as I forgot even the basics. I started reading from few other reputed books and also some high school books but I got confused. I then asked for a suggestion from my friend about his preparation and he referred to the E-GMAT course and I started studying from it without much thought. What has substantially changed is my confidence after completing the verbal section in 1 month. The way the course is designed and the pictorial representation really helps to memorize the basics of Verbal section whether it be the Grammar or the methodology of solving CR questions. I have significantly improved my verbal upto 60% and hope to improve it further in the next 1 month before my actual test.
For students like me who want to improve their knowledge skills in Verbal I would recommend you all to study from e-Gmat and also practice from OG.

E-gmat verbal, I would say my savior ..I was literally struggling to remember the rules in the Manhattan SC book ...and the less i talk about my application of those rules in official question, the better it is...After about 3-4 weeks of studying Manhattan SC I was not getting even 50% of the question correct ...then from somewhere I got this link for free webinar for SC ..and trust me within half an hour of the webinar I made my decision to join verbal live prep from e-gmat ..but then the usual skepticism started so I waited to attend another free session which was 15 days from then ...and finally made my decision to join ...
If I regret anything about my preparation, it is those 15 days I wasted in thinking about making the decision..which could have well made a difference of another 20 points atleast to my score...

Hi guys,
I have gone through the this forum so many times and now that I have achieved a decent gmat score of 700, I would like to highlight how e-gmat's verbal live prep helped me to achieve this score.
Being a non-native, the skills in the verbal section that are tested in GMAT didn't come naturally to me. I needed a prep course which started off from the basic foundation of grammar. The audio-visual tutorials at E-gmat are effective and intuitive, Had I learnt the same from a text book, I really doubt I could have grasped 50% of the concept.
The E-gmat's course is beautifully designed - one lesson at a time. This was best for a non-native guy like me. In SC section, there are great articles such as verb-ing vs verb-ed modifiers. These articles are really well written and are mostly targeted at sections which create a bit of confusion.
Finally, the scholaranium provides a test-environment where you can practice sections in a timed environment. The results I achieved in the scholaranium were almost similar to what I received in the GMAT. For all those guys who want to improve their score from ~27 to ~40 or above, I would really suggest them to try the E-gmat course.

First of all, verbal itself is so hard to crack in the Gmat. Secondly, being a non-native, I felt it even harder to crack. I tried a couple of books before I even start studying the E-gmat, but none of those books were helping me to reach the score that I wanted to. In fact, not even half way there to my target score. My target score is 720. My friend happened to recommend me to E-gmat. Then, I started researching a little bit about it. All the reviews were either 5 or 4 with the E-gmat. I was so excited that there is an institution that tailored the course exactly for my needs that I did not even bother to attend a demo, and I paid for the full subscription for Verbal Live (E-gmat?s premium subscription).
The course usually has video sessions that you can watch them whenever you want to. That?s the main and nice thing about it. After each video session(Sub-category) is followed with a few examples to make sure that you learned it right. Not only that, once you covered with the whole category, you will have multiple test to take and see the scale right there, and you will all levels of questions. I realized that I had learnt nothing when I started my preparation with the two books initially. I got to tell you, I hardly was able to get 50% questions right before e-gmat. After e-gmat, I?m now able to make 70% of the questions right and sometimes even 80%. It?s worth every penny. Every week, they have a couple of video sessions that are thought by live instructors for every section. I really enjoyed studying with the e-gmat material and solving questions from Scholoranium. That?s another great tool. The question quslity is top-notch. The instructors assist you with any questions that you may have on any subject matter. I can?t recommend e-gmat enough. E-gmat is the go-to place for all your Verbal GMAT needs.

I gave my first GMAT attempt and scored 600(49, 24). I am a non-native. After this attempt, I was struggling to find the right course and after going through several reviews I opted for e-gmat Verbal online. The course is great and it provides a comprehensive and methodical way to approach and solve CR, SC and RC.
I really liked the SC and CR approach. To be honest, I didn't go through much of the RC section.
Prethinking in CR and meaning first in SC really help me to tackle GMAT questions.
Few msitakes that I made during my preparation while going through the course, may be it can be helpful for anyone who is opting for this course:
1. The application files and practical files, quizzes after each topic, should be treated as check points, for example if you score less than 75% in Parallelism, then you need more practice on this topic. Review the concepts again and apply them to Official Guide questions.
2. One of the gem of this course is scholaranium. very helpful tool to analyze and improve the score. I wish I had utilized this tool to its full potential. There were files in which I scored less and still moved on to the Scholaranium. I ignored the signs that could have given me a realistic estimate of where I stood in my preparation.
3. Do not ignore Skill Data section in scholaranium dashboard. You can fine tune your preparation to a very good degree
I ended up scoring 690(49,34). Though my overall score improved by 90 points and Verbal score by 10 points, the real challenge starts from this score :P
I feel that the course did a fair job.

Before i enrolled for e-gmat my confidence in tackling verbal was rock bottom despite me having a good grasp of the language. I wanted a course which would not only hep me conceptually but also give me key strategies to solve questions faster but also with greater confidence.
E-gmat enabled me to cover all basis. The live verbal sessions along with brilliant techniques to solve questions faster and with greater accuracy was core to what made me improve my score. While before i used to score at about 25-26 in verbal. After e-gmat that score has gone up by 10 points. Its essential to master the straegies and follow them completely inorder to score high on verbal. I still want to imrove my score and am therefore perfecting the strategies before I give the main exam.

Before enrolling in E-gmat my accuracy in SC used to be 60-70%, after a week or so into the course I was at 80%+ accuracy. It all started making sense why I was getting the questions wrong and how to apporach SC efficiently. The 3 step process worked wonders for me. The video format of the course is very effective and provides in depth knowledge of all the things you need to master SC. The course is organized and has a nice flow which helps you get the maximum learning out of it. CR and RC courses are way better than other courses I have come across. The overall course really helped me go from V28-30 to V37-40 range. So I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to go beyond V37+.

I was having challenges with Verbal and resorted to egmat and realized the learning approach is different and real. No tricks here and the focus is getting you anaphase the question prompt. What struck me most was their emphasis on meaning and seeing the first answer choice for SC as the most important as it sets the tone to find the correct answer choice. I guess other test prep companies out there have loads to learn from egmat. Kudos to Rajat, Payal and team and can't wait to share my success story in the next few weeks.
