The best verbal course for a non-native student

Let me begin my review for e-GMAT by saying that I never studied English as a first language in my school. Till my 12th standard I studied even all my science subjects in Bengali. So, naturally my expertise in English was low from the beginning. I started my GMAT preparation by myself only with OG books. As an engineer, I was able to cope up with Quant because I was quite comfortable in Math. But when I started preparing the Verbal portion, I felt it really difficult. Most of the questions, I used to answer wrong. I was literally struggling with my Verbal preparation and looking for a study material, which will teach me the verbal from basic.

Then I attended the e-GMAT free Webinars on SC, CR and RC and really impressed with those and made a purchase decision of Verbal online.

1. SC :- The first thing e-GMAT taught me that GMAT is not a test of English, rather it is a test of comprehensive ability. It taught me that correcting a sentence not only mean to look for grammatical errors but also most importantly make the sentence meaningful. It guided me with the three steps process (understanding the meaning of the sentence, error analysis and POE) how to tackle from easy to most difficult question. The course also made me comfortable on each individual concept of grammar with applications and practices. It has
nice step by step solution of each OG questions. The explanation of the OG answers are really awesome. Most of the questions have key takeaways to note.

2. CR :- The most important thing I learnt from the CR course is identifying the conclusion. Once I could find out the conclusion then answering the question becomes really easy. The course also guided me what can be challenged and what can not be in an argument. It is really helpful for tackling strengthen and weaken question. Additionally the Scholaranium platform is a good source of question bank to practice.

3. RC :- I don't have much take on the RC part because still I am not comfortable with the RC and trying to cope up with the process. But the course teaches a very good habit of reading by its Master Comprehension course. It also tells how to get involved in the passage and squeeze the gist of the passage, which finally makes it easier to answer the questions.

Finally, I will say you can bet for e-GMAT if you are really struggling with your Verbal preparation.

My experience with e-GMAT QLP course

I started thinking about preparing for GMAT in Mid 2017. So the first question came into mind was which GMAT prep course to choose? I had few criteria, My work schedule is office from 9 am to 6 pm and I am married and I have a 16 months old toddler. So with all these responsibilities I didn?t want to go for a class room course and decided to go for an Online course. Online course gives flexibility and saves us the time of commute. I went through the reviews of various GMAT prep courses and then decided I would first try self study. I started with the MGMAT quant books. I couldn?t sit through for long hours and concluded that video lessons are best for me and again going through all the course review, I selected e-GMAT Quant Live Prep, because it has good reviews and economical also. Now after completing the course, I became very comfortable with the quant section. The course is well structured into sections, the videos lessons are broken into small concepts with short videos so that you don?t get bored or tired. The application quizzes guide you well on how to approach respective question types. The have section wise quizzes from OG also, so you can keep track of your performance in OG questions. The live sessions are very good for further clarity on the process to follow for each type of questions. You can ask doubts in live sessions as well as in the forums on e-GMAT. The scholaranium is a very good tool to work on your weaknesses and keep track of your performances. You don?t need to worry about keeping a separate error log. The scholaranium keeps track of errors and you can put your notes about each question while doing review. I highly recommend e-GMAT course to anyone, no matter what stage you are in your GMAT prep. It is an excellent all round package. They have some of their concept files and couple of live sessions for free, so you can try before deciding.

The best verbal prep course online

I came to know about e-gmat verbal live prep through a friend who had score 730 on the Gmat. He said that it had helped him immensely in his preparation. So as a result, I joined the e-gmat course in August 2017 hoping that it would help me improve my overall score. I had taken the Gmat mock test before but had score poorly in the verbal section and felt that I needed a thorough practice in that area in order to get my desired score.

Now having tried the verbal live prep course, I can definitely say that it was the best decision I took with regards to my preparation. I really appreciated the way the instructors gave the online sessions, deconstructing sentences and passages to delve deep into what the author is trying to say. I was also impressed on the focus given to each and every option to analyse and figure out why a particular option was the right or the wrong one. Apart from the live sessions, I also studied the online material and exercises and found them to be immensely helpful during my preparation. By focusing on the key areas that I need to target, I was able to improve my accuracy in SC, CR and RC by a huge margin.

Now having gone through the course, I feel much more confident in my ability to solve the Verbal questions in the test without worrying about spending too much time on them or wondering whether I got them correct. Egmat's verbal live prep has enabled me to think logically while applying the methods to every problem and find out the correct solution.

Would like to thank the entire team of E-gmat for designing such an interactive course for us students who have a hard time with the verbal prep.

The Best Verbal Online Course

I am non-native speaker of English and before studying for the GMAT exam I though my level of English was ok. But when I started studying for the GMAT exam I realized that I had a lot of doubts in the Verbal section, and that my weakest area was RC. I first enrolled in a local class but after a few months I did not see any improvement, then I tried other online courses, but none of these seemed to work for me.

A few months ago a friend introduced me to e-GMAT and I cannot thank her enough for that. After trying the trial for a few days, I decided to join the verbal online course and I could not be happier of my decision. First of all, e-GMAT is better structured than any other platform I had tried before and second is very friendly. The videos are very dynamics as well; each one provides a number of key strategies that are very helpful while doing the mocks.

The other thing that is really useful is the scholaranium. The scholarium is a bank of questions that are very similar to the ones in the GMAT test. I have improved a lot my verbal skills, especially in RC

I really recommend the course to all the GMAT candidates, especially the non-native speakers. It will really help you achieve your goal.

Last year, I took GMAT and got 550 points but I need higher scores in both parts, quant and verbal. Therefore, I searched the online courses in the internet and found some interesting courses. After I tried those courses in free trial, I decided to subscribed e-gmat and it is worth trying.

My favorite part in E-GMAT is its new platform . It is very convenient and friendly-user because it is easy to track what you have learned. It tells how much time you have spend on each sections and after study in each sections, there are some applications, which are in gmat-like style to test whether you totally understand the lessons and apply to gmat or not.
In addition, E-GMAT provides a very strong concept of each parts from the foundation to advanced level. Before I took the courses, I lacked some basic concepts and made me miss some points on the tricky questions. This course enables me to close this gap and to get the higher scores.
Finally, the scholaranium in the course gives me lots of practices to get used to gmat questions and let me see what sections are my weakness or strength.

Excellent Course for GMAT

Egmat Quant Online course is very comprehensive and detailed. The approach is very systematic. The concept videos helped me understand the basics well which was vital and helped me get a strong foundation. Before joining the course, I was looking for shortcuts to arrive at the answers. However, the solid foundation of basic concepts helped me crack many hard questions and also I got confident in solving data sufficiency questions. There are quizzes which test the application of the concepts studied in each topic which give a lot of confidence. The approach for solving Word Problems /Geometry helped me a lot and drastically reduced my time taken for such questions, I could answer even the hardest questions in very less time with much confidence. Advanced topics such as probability, permutations & combinations were very tough for me, but after going through concept videos for these topics I could gain much confidence in those problems. Scholaranium is very helpful in assessing our ability in each section and helps us identify, focus & improve our performance in the areas we are weak.

I am planning to take GMAT after couple of months and I highly recommend it to everyone that e-gmat quant's structured approach is going to help you increase your score.

In a nutshell , Quant Online is best for GMAT Quant . Highly Recommended.

e-GMAT Quant Live is really helpful

Hi All,
I am an engineer with more than 11 years of experience. I was wondering at the beginning as to how should I start preparing for GMAT. Since I haven?t been in academics for such a long time, I needed someone who could guide me on my journey to crack GMAT. Frankly speaking, if you don?t know your current ability level & set a realistic goal with a proper study plan you will likely to falter. I wasted too much time to find a starting point. The intent of this writing is to help those who are confused as to how to start preparing for GMAT.
Then I came to know about e-GMAT from GMAT Club. Thanks to e-GMAT who gave me a proper insight about GMAT & helped me make a proper study plan to achieve my target score. E-GMAT explained me the importance of scoring high in quant to improve my overall score. As i am from engineering background, I too was confident on my quant ability. But I scored really low in my first quant ability test. It was a huge setback. E-GMAT explained me in details the areas where I faltered & the core skills needed to overcome those mistakes. As they say there are no short cuts to crack GMAT & it is purely a test of logic, building core skills is absolutely essential. They taught me the processes to answer correctly & confidently. Once you are comfortable with the process, scholaranium (this is amazing!!!)) will help you improve your speed as well as accuracy. I can give you numerous examples where I faltered because I didn?t pay enough attention to details. E-GMAT helped me identify these kinds of mistakes.
I started with e-GMAT quant online course & later upgraded to Quant live course. I am very impressed with the quality of course material & a very detailed feedback system. Quant live sessions are really interactive & it will provide you a platform to clarify your doubts. Quant faculty is really good. Honestly, your approach to solve a question must be right in order to solve the problem within 2 minutes or so. Quant live session will teach you the correct approach to solve a problem. I have been following their methods & actually making progress each day.
You may attend some of their free webinar to get a flavor of their teaching style & course material content. I hope that some of you will find it useful.

?How much time is required to prepare for GMAT?. with this question in mind I started my preparation for GMAT. I asked friends and they told me just one Month maximum is required that too if you are weak in English. I took their suggestion and started with MGMAT Sentence Correction, I tried to assimilate the jargons of English grammar. Then I gave MGMAT mocks and did not do well in the exam. I found that although I knew the rules of grammar , I was clueless about the applying it on the question. About CR and RC, I was totally clueless and all options seems to be correct for me. Then one of my friend recommended me to go through the free session of E-Gmat. I studied all the free session of verbal, and really liked their methodlogy of teaching. I, then enrolled for the verbal online e-gmat course. I liked the course because firstly it was in audio visual form, which makes my mind fully occupied, and Secondly course has quizzes after each concepts. Moreover, this course taught me to breakdown the sentence in to parts and then identify the errors . This approach initially took took time but then with practice it got internalized. Few of the concepts of modifier such as Verb-ing , Verb-ed modifier and Noun + Noun modifier are clearly explained in this course. I cemented my most of the concepts of grammar through this course.
Coming to the RC and CR, this course taught me ?How to approach each type of CR and RC questions and how to eliminate each answer?. I learnt the reading strategy and which helped me to improve my comprehensions of passage.
Scholaranium is verbal quiz bank of E-gmat which comes along with the verbal online. Scholaranium quizzes has advance analytics which helped me to know my weak areas and through this I practiced more questions in my weak areas. Questions in Scholaranium are quite similar to the GMAT which helped me to train my mind for the GMAT like test.

Hi,

e-GMAT is a must go-for option among the plethora of options available in the market, particularly for verbal. I took Verbal Online course of e-gmat and I just cannot explain how much satisfied I was after going through the whole course.

The program is very well structured and is built with an active learning methodology rather than the passive broadcast methodology followed by others in the market. Their is a test before every concept and a quiz post the concept is taught to ensure that you have grasped the topic thoroughly.

I have improved a lot in my verbal skills and I am a big fan of the Sentence Correction videos. They are really flawless and structured really well. I wasn't able to do a lot of sentence correction questions before going through the course but afterwards my efficiency has been in the range og 90%-95%.

I really recommend the course to all the GMAT aspirants. It will really help you achieve your target score.

I subscribed to E-gmat Verbal online course and I must say that it was totally worth every penny.
I was not good at the verbal section. I attended the free SC and RC sessions by e-GMAT and did not think twice to order the Verbal course, since verbal was my pain area. And as per the plan suggested in e-GMAT, I started with SC.

I would like to de-brief about few of the features of the course:
1. The scholaranium feature is very helpful to identify weaknesses.
2. Course materials are well structured from a learning perspective.
3. Enough questions available for practice that are reflective of GMAT style questions
4. Additional resources are research question to questions: e-GMAT forum, question section on each practice question.
5. E-gmat gives free weekly webinars for on different topics.
6. They respond almost within a day on your queries or doubts.

Till now my experience has been great with the E-gmat.

This was my first time using any GMAT Prep Course and to improve upon my Verbal I chose the e-gmat's Verbal Live Prep. First off - their customer service is very fast and a total delight. Now about the course : I am the kind of student who likes to study with the fundamentals. I am not one to memorize a list of tips and tricks. E-GMAT aligned really well with my study pattern as it goes into the deepest concepts and spends time on them. Then there are practice tests immediately to apply the concepts. It is the right kind of learning for students like me. While I have enrolled for the class last minute, I was able to improve my Verbal scores to reach V34 on exam day. This was very satisfying , however I know that I have to work even harder for my next attempt and I have chosen to continue with e-gmat.

How I overcame my fear of Quant

I wanted to prepare for my GMAT from the time I completed my graduation but did not know how to start, I made several attempts to start my preparation over a span of 2 years, enrolled myself in various coaching institutes and took few online subscriptions but nothing seemed to work. Around that time I met an old friend who had scored a 730 in her GMAT and she suggested e-GMAT to me.

I immediately tried their free trial course and bought their subscription as I was finally able to understand such quant topics that scared me throughout my high school. I have been an average student my whole life because of which my biggest struggle was understanding the basics. Other courses that I tried were not able to solve my problem as they started from a level that I was assumed to be aware of. E-GMAT, on the other hand, had videos that started with the very basics of each concept, which helped me gain confidence and commit to studying again without self-doubt.

The e-GMAT quant course is sectioned and structured very well to gain an optimal understanding of each topic. What I absolutely love about the course is how each topic is followed by a small application quiz that tests the topic studied and guides you through the main question types to embed the learning deep in your brain. The course also offers a selected set of questions, topic-wise, from the Official Guide.

Thank you e-GMAT for this amazing course. It helped me to keep moving forward and not give up.

I would highly recommend this course to everyone who is studying for GMAT.

I am a typical Indian engineer with strong Quant. Hence, I started my GMAT prep considering no need of any support from any external resources. Because from past many years I was not in touch with quant prep, I was falling in the test makers traps again and again, One of my friend recommended to go with e-Gmat Courses. In which the style of learning I experienced is so good. eGMAT quant course don?t teach you tips, tricks or shortcuts, instead the courses teach you the simplest ways of understanding and tackling each quant question. This made me confident to solve any kind of question that comes in my way.

The Course is categorized into 5 sub-sections: Number Properties, Algebra, Geometry, Word Problems and Advanced Topics. Each sub-section has a lot of content and study material along with a lot of Practice and Application Files.

The Scholaranium is where you can take customized quizzes and is a great tool and the way it considers the candidate's performance and does all the planning for the candidate is a big help. It is easy-to-use, versatile and flexible. Now, I am confident that I will be able to hit Q50 or above. It was Q48 in my last attempt (600, Q48,V26).

I would strongly recommend eGMAT online courses. The program is interactive and focuses on your weaknesses, and comes with the Scholaranium which evaluates your strengths and weaknesses. The Support team is very responsive and helpful and give prompt response for all queries.

Addition to this, I am now practicing in Scholaranium along with GMAT Club Tests. Hope I will Achieve my target of Q51 this time and overall Score of >700. Then I will meet all of you with my complete debrief.

EGMAT Holy Grail for every Non native

I have used Egmat for quite a long time now and I absolutely loved it. The Course content is top notch especially SC. I would recommend every non-native who is struggling in Verbal like me. Let me give you a detailed analysis of each section which will help you further:-
1) SC:- This is the one section which I can vouch for. Egmat is THE BEST in the GMATverse when it comes to SC. The modules of the course are straightforward and the quality of questions is extremely close to the real thing in the Scholaranium. For SC I would recommend only stick to Official Materials and Egmat nothing else. NO EXTERNAL QUESTIONS. The process by Egmat will take some time to master, but when you master it your accuracy shoots up. I can guarantee that. SC has been my strongest area since then.
2)CR:- In this section, I struggled the most. But with the help of Egmat's pre-thinking approach, I was able to break to crack it. The pre-thinking process may sound silly when you are just starting off but you will realize its importance as you sail through the journey of GMAT.
3) RC:- If you are not an active reader and struggle reading dense passages, then the reading strategies by Egmat will help you master the process and improve your accuracy.
4) Scholaranium:- This is the best part of the course. The Scholaranium contains around 700 questions with very detailed explanations, which makes it GOLD. I used Scholaranium in later stages of my preparation after completing OG and the course material. The questions are a bit tough especially CR but very useful. Once a high accuracy is gained in Scholaranium, Official questions will feel a bit easier. Moreover, The ability scores and topic wise analysis provided by the scholaranium helps a lot to focus on the weak areas.

Phenomenal teaching in synchronizing conceptual gaps with achievable steps

e-GMAT is a stellar course in being able to integrate sound principles and aligning them with student's conceptual gaps. They do this by always being one step in front of us in correcting mistakes before they happen. The high level of difficulty of questions helps students dip their toes into the 700 level questions, so when the actual test comes along, these questions come as no surprise to them. Furthermore, the combination of teaching and step by step answers to questions really help students to paint a full picture of not only learning the concepts, but being able to walk ourselves through how to approach a question before we skip right to getting to answers. These pre-thinking steps became essential to doing well on the GMAT and e-GMAT really ensures students have developed and established a solid foundation in this step before students walk into the real test.

In GMAT prep, if you have the right course material then you have taken your first right step towards success. I feel that most of the test takers struggle in this first step and hence either take longer time to crack GMAT or end up elsewhere. My personal experience is that quant online from e-GMAT is the best option for quant prep. The best feature is the course structure in an audio visual format which starts from basics and gradually builds foundation for advanced concepts. Each video is followed by a quiz to cement your understanding and leads you to a next level of practice exercise. Finally you have scholaranium as a litmus test for your prep where again questions are classified as easy, medium, hard and very hard. I found this course very useful.

While preparing for the GMAT I found out that I was really weak in verbal, especially the sentence correction section. Although I loved reading, grammar was an area that had always puzzled me. During my preparation I realized that I was often selecting the sentence which sounded right without understanding the logic behind why the other options were wrong. This strategy though could work on the easier questions, but to get tougher questions right you need to understand the rules of grammar and apply the same. The e-gmat course helped me a lot in this area. Their methodology of breaking the sentence into its building blocks helped me understand the nuances in every option. I would certainly recommend this course to anybody who finds the verbal section tough.

Its very easy to get lost in the myriad of prep companies. I was referred to e-GMAT by one of my friends. I took the verbal course initially thinking I could manage Quant. But later I decided to enroll for Quant Live prep too and that was probably a better decision! The course is structured so well that any average person like me can very easily pick up the basic concepts and apply them at an advanced level. The Live session are so involved starting from basic applications to excellent crafted advance level questions.
With all the excellent coursework and also live sessions I was easily able to solve advance questions in well under 2 minutes.
I am planning to take GMAT in a month and I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn QUANT in a structured way!
