The course has been carefully crafted and covers all the topics which are tested in GMAT. It's quality is really amazing and also e-gmat team is really quick in answering queries pertaining to the course. Each and every question has been very clearly explained and their course also offers sufficient practice questions which are really helpful to develop a thorough understanding of the skills tested in GMAT. I took their SC and RC course but have also heard very good reviews about their CR course. I would really recommend their verbal course to the people who are struggling with the verbal section of GMAT.

I strongly recommend egmat to the non natives

I started learning for the gmat few months ago and I 'm confortable with (I got a score higher than 46 on my very first simulation tests). However the verbal section is a nightmare for me. I got a V26 on my simulation tests and started spending more time on the verbal section. I suscribed for the Economist GMAT (which I recommand to learn the technics for the quant section), and worked on the material for 8 weeks. Even though it helped me a lot for the quant, I hardly got V30 on simulation test after completing the course. 2 weeks ahead of my planned test date I made my mind that I could not get the 700+ score that I'm aiming . I then followed the advice of my friends who highly recommand the egmat verbal online course.
This course is incredibile great. It shows the technics step by step to ace the verbal. From the SC , to the RC through the CR, the egmat course and the questions in scholarium, are the perfect material to understand deeply the basic grammar rules and the arguments construction, how to read critically the RC passage and better answer the questions.
It also greatly helps to work on the official guide in the meantime and to get use to the official questions by giving the questions of the OG as exercice to work on after each course. The cherish on the top are the detail explanations of the OG questions.
I'm now able to score 37 on the verbal section thank to EGMAT.

After the previous unsuccessful attempts (430,450), I took the E-gmat Verbal online Prep course last year The amount of prep material available with e-gmat is unparalleled and the different methods in which they are presented really help prepare you to do your best on the exam. I was having phobia from SC but after taking the course, I started solving the questions in less than a minute. I would recommend this course to anyone even thinking about taking the GMAT. The thought processes and material I was exposed to in preparation for taking the exam will not only help me succeed in this one setting but in my career as well.

Scholaranium - Ultimate Tool for Score Improvement by e-GMAT

February 25, 2017
  • Teacher: Payal
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: No
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: N/A After: N/A

I started my GMAT journey as others by taking a mock test. I scored a dismal 530. Someone had told me that whatever you score on a 1st mock, you can improve your score by 100 maximum. Being an India IT male with a degree from avg private university I knew that I needed to score greater than 700 to get into my target school. I was disappointed but I didn't lose hope.
I started preparing with MGMAT guide books. I studied those for about 4-5 months and took MGMAT CATs as per course design. My score did improve by 100, and after 4-5 months I was getting score in the range of 610-640 but this surely was not enough given my background. I hit the plateau. Whatever I was doing my score was not increasing after this. Then I met a friend of mine who recently BeatTheGMAT by scoring 740. He introduced me to e-GMAT, explaining how well the course is designed and how beneficial it is for non-natives.
Taking his advice I bought GMAT online course from e-GMAT. The course content, as reviewed by fellow learners here and advised by my friend, is surely designed in such a manner that helps learning. The focus on ?understanding meaning? before jumping to answer choices has changed my perspective and has helped me grasp things with clarity.
The most important feature which e-GMAT provides is the Scholaranium, it surely is God send. It's special feature is 'Ability Quizzes'. I cannot find more apt definition for ability quizzes than this one which I found on a blog ? ?Ability Quizzes take accuracy out of the equation and give you a true estimate of your proficiency. The best thing ? you can take an ability quiz in as little as 30 minutes and figure out where you need to focus next for maximum impact. Moreover, the vast question bank ensures that you can take multiple ability quizzes to track your improvement.?
Now one might think why I shall take ability quizzes from Scholaranium and not a full length mocks which will help me build stamina too. Consider you completed Critical reasoning section and you want to measure your ?ability? for this section, taking a Mock at this moment will be like wasting an attempt and it will impact your confidence.
I have taken mocks in past when I was preparing with MGMAT materials. Now, I have been taking ability quizzes from Quants Scholaranium and Verbal Scholaranium from last 1 month and I feel more confident to crack 700 mark. I will be writing my GMAT soon and I will keep everyone updated once I am done.

Thanks

MY TRIP TO THE GMAT

February 24, 2017
  • Teacher:
  • Recommended forVerbal: No  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: N/A After: N/A

I thought taking the Gmat for a long time now, but I was always too busy firstly because of my work and secondly because I thought I could master It easily when I will decide to take it, since I were very confident with my
Maths abilities and my experience in management.

But, the first time I really tried a full test exam on a simulator, let me be clear, I didn't go through the end of that simulation. The starting questions were easy but after around forty five minutes
my brain got tired, I had no more motivation to go through the remaning, that was the same for quant and verbal.

I got disappointed specifically for quant section because I knew my abilities were high, I quickly understood that I had a lot of work that I need to achieve for me to get to the right level.

I began by a full revision of my mathematic concepts got in the college, I went through a lot of different materials for quant and verbal while still trying my new knowledge on some gmat questions (I use OG), but even with all of this
I quickly realise that for a non native english speaker this exam can't be a peace of cake (you see now I'm able to use some some idioms, haha!). Especially my verbal skills were not improving.

Every time a I tried a verbal test, for medium level and above questions, most of the time I were not able to explain why a choice was a correct one and why the others choices are false.

Fortunately one of my friends who took the gmat 2 years ago talk me about egmat, I went through their website a I read a lot of the reviews posted by egmat, and I attended two of their free live session; I quickly understood that this could be the answer to my
problems. I understood that while been helpfull for natives, their course was build for non natives.

I firstly though to get a subscription only for verbal, but finally I got a 6 months subscription for both maths and verbal, and I can assure to you, this is the best decision I made since I envisioned taking the GMAT.

The way the concepts are presented is really easy to understand even for non natives, the english use is simple even when complex concepts are presented.

For verbal, There are usefull tools for mastering CR and RC.all the basics to master SC are also given. The live prep are amazing. the tutors use vary gmat level questions that are explained using the concepts presented in the lessons each question depends on.
The interactive tool used for liveprep is also amazing, you always get an answer to your questions. For the first time in my Gmat journey, I had the impression that I were improving in verbal.

And as surprising as it may be, the quant section was really helpfull too, concept are well structured, and the presentations are build for the gmat purpose with practice files after each concept; The scholarnium is a powerfull tool that help to quickly identify the
sections on which you have to practice more, I really like that one.The live sessions are also very interresting all based on gmat like questions explained in detail. What I also got interresting on gmat approach is that they gives gmat takers concepts that allow folks
to identify tricks on wrong answers.

with Egmat you learn how it is important to get immersed in each question, because the way they present each kind of question, you quickly understand what to look for and you deep focus on each question, consequently, the 4hours the exam last are no more a problem
for me who where not able to go through the end of a full test, It is now easy for me to reach the end on one straight.

All of this have been so helpfull that now I'm no more afraid to take the exam; I am scheduled for the next month and I'm still immersed in my preparation, having one month remaining. I hope I will be back soon with good news.

Thanks

E-GMAT boosted my Verbal score

February 15, 2017
  • Teacher: Online

  • GMAT ScoresBefore: N/A After: N/A

Hello friends,

Let me tell you one thing about GMAT, it is not about knowledge but about skills. E-gmat has helped me tremendously in developing my skills. Not only has it boosted my verbal score but also my confidence to take on the GMAT as a whole. I am a non-native and have the same troubles as all non natives have. I am fairly good at quants but my verbal sucked!! When I wrote my first Official GMAT Prep Mock, I had a decent score in quant. I could see my plan of action for my GMAT journey. However, I was shattered to see my verbal score and was completely clueless on verbal part. I mean I have been studying in English whole of my life!! I was thoroughly confused. I got hold of Manhattan books but they were not of much use. My friend suggested me e-gmat verbal online and it clicked.

I was impressed to see the coursework broken down into logical parts to be absorbed one at a time. Instead of using jargons, the coursework uses simple, lucid language. I think most important aspects of the e-gmat course are emphasis on meaning, understanding and pre-thinking. It helps solve most complex problems very well in time. It gave me confidence on my pacing as well as organised my thinking. The step by step methodology (Meaning analysis, Error Analysis and POE) in the solving SC has increased my accuracy and my ability.

For a depressed soul who has exhausted all available OG and OG review materials, practice is as much of concern as is any aspect of GMAT. Without practice all your efforts will go down the drain. E-gmat Scholarinum is a great tool for practice. Kudos to Scholaranium for providing wide range of questions across all question types on GMAT! I opted for Verbal Scholaranium. Using Scholaranium, I could understand my weak areas (e.g. CR- inference, CR- evaluate, SC- modifiers, RC- humanities), isolate each area and target it by specifically practicing easy, medium and hard questions. I find this approach very logical and scientific. Thanks Scholaranium!! It has helped me very much.

E-gmat 's unique approach to tackle verbal section

hi
I purchased the verbal online from e-GMAT. Instructor - Payal's teaching style involves her patience to teach and ability to cover detailed explanation of every concepts of verbal. Such teaching style is very effective if you are non native english speaker like me.No wonder e gmat verbal is so popular among asian student.
Even though online sessions seem to be very lengthy but ease of pausing and going back and forth makes learning very convenient. The sc portion of the course took fear out of my mind which is common among GMAT takers. The way sc covers every single nuances of s/v agreement, parallelism, pronouns, modifiers , idioms was impressive. This course makes it easy for visual learner like me by providing drawings / doodling along with sentences which goes very well with auditory-visual style of teaching.
I would definitely come back to give more review once I go through my actual gmat and other sessions of verbal!

I am a non-native speaker who try to ace gmat. Gmat verbal was my nightmare since I scored only 19 in my first mock test. I searched for the course that can help me to improve my score. Then I found egmat which is the course that claim to be the best for non-native. I read several of their reviews and decided to purchase the course.
This is my opinions about the course.

SENTENCE CORRECTION

- Egmat 3 step process is an effective way to solve GMAT SC. At first you might question their approach because it will take you more time to solve a question. However, with enough practices, you will be able to use their process with ease and your accuracy and timing will improved. My accuracy in SC improve from less than 50% to more than 70%.
- In addition to grammar rule, E-gmat emphasize on intended meaning which is crucial to solve difficult SC question.
- Course starts from basic to difficult concepts and covers all the topics that are needed to do well in GMAT SC.
- Detailed solution to each practice question which contain meaning analysis, Error analysis and process of elimination. You will completely understand why you are correct or why you are wrong.

READING

- Provide effective key reading strategies which help in better understanding the difficult RC passage.
- Contain Process in answering different type of RC question and provide characteristic of incorrect answer choices.

CRITICAL REASONING

- Provide excellent foundation concept about premises and conclusion which help in understanding the complex CR argument. This basic concepts is one of the key to ace GMAT CR.
- Creating logical structure and pre-thinking approach help in narrowing down the answer choice. The approach also prevents you to choose the incorrect answer choices that seem like a sensible answer.

After studying their courses, my accuracy in all the section improve greatly. My recent mock score is 32 , more than 10 pts increase. Eventhough I haven?t reach my target score of 36 yet, but I am confident that with more practices on their verbal scholaranium , reaching my target score isn?t just a dream.

To sum up, In my opinion E-gmat verbal live prep is one of the best course that can help people to ace Gmat Verbal. You will surely never regret after purchasing this course.

Great resource to improve your Quant

January 29, 2017
  • Teacher:
  • Recommended forVerbal: No  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 680 After: N/A

This course is a very well organized and complete resource to improve your GMAT Quant.

The course is divided in the following sections: 1) Number Properties, 2) Algebra, 3) Geometry, 4) Word Problems and 5) Advance topics.

As the Verb Course provided by E-GMAT, the Quant course consists on video lessons followed by practical quizzes. The first quiz on each section consists typically on low level questions that help you understand the basics. On the second quiz, the difficulty level of the questions increases progressively. One thing I like about it is that each question has a timer so you can see how long is taking you to solve different types of questions based on the difficulty level. The course provides step by step solutions of these practical questions as well as of the OG questions that are recommended at the end of each section. All the explanations are very clear.

Another important resource is the Scholaranium. It helps you polish your time management skills and it creates a personal databank that helps you identify your weaknesses.

In summary, I consider this course as an excellent resource: very good format (theory-practice-live sessions-Scholaranium), very detailed step by step concept and solutions and a very good structure of contents.

Very recommended material to improve your verbal

January 29, 2017
  • Teacher:
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: No
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 680 After: N/A

E-GMAT provides an excellent material to help students improve their GMAT score and I encourage students, especially non-natives to enroll in this course. Each of the parts in which the verbal course is divided (SC, CR and RC) consists on videos with detailed explanations of the main concepts followed by practical questions that help you to apply these fundamentals. The live sessions are a very useful resource to solidify these concepts.

The SC part is with no doubt the most complete resource I have found in the market. It helped me to understand the importance of the meaning set by the original sentence. This course not only shows you that an option is ambiguos but also explains you WHY (something that other resources in the market don?t do well). Being a non-native, not understanding this subtle concept was keeping me from reaching a top level on this section. In summary, this course goes beyond the typical "tricks" that are good for 600 level questions and makes you pay special attention to meaning.

The CR section is also great. It really help me to understand the concept of assumption, something I was struggling with. It also helped me understand well cause & effect arguments. The collection of practice questions is really interesting.

As far as RC section, I was feeling very confortable before taking the course and I did not review it with too much detail.

To sum up, this course is a MUST for non-natives that are struggling with certain aspects of verbal section. The online format is very dynamic and interactive and the content has a good balance of theory and practice. Also, the course explains clearly the key concepts needed to ace the GMAT.

e-GMAT?s quant strategies do not involve any tricks or shortcuts. The course teaches all the concepts from basic. The instructor-led online sessions focus on application of concepts learnt in the topic-wise modules. Unlike, any other GMAT-prep company, e-GMAT primarily focuses on application concepts to GMAT-like questions. on Moreover, the online mode of delivery is an added advantage since it offers me complete freedom to schedule my preparation as per my convenience. Not only this, but the online class as interesting and as lively as any other live classroom session. I seriously recommend this course to anyone who is looking for GMAT prep course.
e-GMAT has recently developed a very strong analytics tool, Scholaranium, which provides detailed feedback on strong areas and areas of improvement. I have never come across a better use of technology in GMAT course delivery. With the help of this tool, one can focus on improving on weak topics, while keeping in touch with the areas of expertise. The questions presented are mostly in sync with those on actual GMAT. Users can create custom quizzes depending upon the topics they are willing to test themselves upon. Overall, I rate this tool as ?excellent? and recommend this for all GMAT re-takers.
