I was looking for a decent platform to study for GMAT. After couple days of research, I've decided to give e-GMAT a shot. So far, it's amazing and worth every buck.
I really like the post-quiz feature that allows you to review the concepts you just learned.
Their verbal contents help me boost my confidence in the section. After thoroughly study verbal section with E-gmat, I learned how to look for the intention of the questions.

Wholesome Experience

I was looking for some online prep material and after going through a lot of reviews on various websites I choose e-gmat online, and it has lived upto it's promises.

The course helps you plan your GMAT according to the number of hours you can dedicate to the prep daily (THIS, mind you was very useful when you are confused about your timelines). With the plan in place you can proceed to systematically go through all the course material, which is provided in a very logical order (answering your WHERE and WHAT to start with). The course gradually takes you through not only all the concepts required for acing GMAT but also the hidden techniques to get to your answer quicker. The sectional test after every topic helps you retain what you just learned. All of this makes it a wholesome learning experience.

Personally, I have seen a lot of improvement in my mock results (610-710) and will keep you guys posted of my actual GMAT score too. So if you are looking for a good online course, go ahead for e-gmat online. It acts like the study buddy you need to have!

Complete package and Easy to understand!! Highly recommended

April 4, 2017

  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 640 After: N/A

I had given my GMAT about a year ago (640 - V34, Q45) and CRs and SCs were my achilles heel. I tried different online courses, but did not see an improvement. The method and techniques provided did not click with me as well.

RCs weren't good either. I would lose track of the purpose half way through reading the passage.

Reading through blogs and reviews on GMAT Club, I finally decided to give e-gmar a try. I am so glad I did!! The video lessons provided by e-gmat are easy to understand and catered towards the non-native english speakers

The strategies outlined for RC were really helpful. The one strategy that worked wonders for me was "to get immersed". Easier said, but once you really immerse and ask the questions on your head as to why you're reading the passage and its purpose, the passage really starts to make sense. Making a summary note after each paragraph really helps to write your thoughts in a clear manner, which becomes really helpful when coming up with the main purpose of the passage in the end. These strategies do seem time consuming in the beginning, but it speeds up with practice.

The other thing that I absolutely loved about the Verbal online was the scholaranium. Since I knew that RC was my weak point, I decided to do atleast 4 passages every day, along with 20 SCs and 20 CRs. The focus was always on improving accuracy and the timing. I slowly gained accuracy with continuous practice and by the end, I had 96% accuracy.

I will be taking the next GMAT test at the end of April and I feel that I am ready for it this time. I will update with my score. Wish me luck!!

Thank you e-GMAT once again and thanks for reading my review.

Good luck to all of you!!

'Meaning' & 'Pre-thinking' can help you excel

April 4, 2017

One of the great learnings I had during the e-GMAT Verbal Online course was the innovative problem-solving approach by understanding the meaning and applying pre-thinking. Verbal Online is carefully designed from student's perspective, specifically teaching a step-by-step process to apply on various items being tested.

For Sentence Correction, Verbal Online helped me to adopt a methodical process to understand the meaning thereby improving my overall accuracy. My accuracy for Sentence Correction shot up to 75-80% after incorporating e-GMAT's approach of solving SC questions.

Similarly, its RC and CR courses focus on pre-thinking, which is yet another important and effective methodology to achieve higher accuracy. I used Scholarium to focus on my weak areas and thoughtfully watched the videos to improve on my weak sections.

For a non-native speaker, it's worth every penny and I would highly recommend it.

If you are struggling in Verbal, then this one's for you

April 1, 2017
  • Teacher:
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: No
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 510 After: N/A

When i first started preparing for the GMAT i knew i wasn't strong in quant, but much better in Verbal, i speak three language after all, but when i first approached RC passages i was confused, never have i read such passages before, and i couldn't understand what they were asking of me after the passage either. Same story was for me with CR and SC; i realized that i wasn't able to even understand what i was really reading or what i had to pay attention to. I got some right, some wrong, thought it would suffice. But i was wrong, i have taken GMAT and scored miserly v28 510 total. So after that i decided to put away my arrogance and take another chance at GMAT, but only after finding a better way to preapare for it, rather than just relying on my past knowledge and intuition. And one day i stumbled across e-GMAT verbal online, attended one of their free sessions on SC and realized that i basically knew nothing and needed to start learning it all from the beginning.

I purchased their course and jumped right into it. Soon i realized that there was so much to understand and learn, in all the sections, especially in SC and CR. But the most interesting thing was RC, because i basically had to learn how to read from the very beginning! As if i never knew that. e-GMAT's approach is intuitive and easy to understand, but one should listen to all the explanations, especially how to follow the process for answering questions, especially paying attention to small details in CR and SC. This is a big thing they teach you, because without the process you will get easily oblitarated by verbal section. And of course there can be no process without crystal clear understanding of concepts. In e-GMAT Verbal online all the concepts are given to you in a comfortable manner, and after each concept there is a quiz to check how well you undertood what you just learnt. All that is very helpful.

But what i really liked, were the specific approaches for each section. For RC, those were the reading strategies one should follow when reading a passage, that is a very useful thing to know in order to break a big passage into an easy to understand information. For SC, they teach you the importance of first understanding a logic behind the sentence, only then looking for errors in it. For CR they put a huge emphasis on their unique method of pre-thinking first, only then moving to answer choices. Pre-thinking basically lets you get deep into the argument and think of your own answer before moving to the answer choices. At first all these strategies seem too much to grasp, but in time they become your second nature.

After you have gone through all the concepts, you start practicing all that you learnt in Scholaranium, an awesome tool to evaluate your knewly acquired skills and pin point your weak areas. What really helps you do that, are the ability quizzes. You can take them for each of the section separately or for the verbal in general, to see where you still need improvement. Scholaranium has a variety of very useful features such as your ablity level, accuracy level, takt time that really help you see your performance in a statistical way.

I am about to take my GMAT in a couple of weeks, so i'll be updating my review. But for now as a conclusion i would like to recommend e-GMAT Verbal online to all those of you who struggle with verbal and are desparate to find a good course that will teach you what it takes to master Verbal like a pro.

The most structured course for GMAT VERBAL

I think E-Gmat offers the most efficient course when compared to individual training and to Person Review courses. E-gmat Verbal courses are designed solely for GMAT type questions. They are very structured. The videos and the materials give you the most important hints to succeed in questions. I would not score high without the help of these hints that no other courses mentioned. I highly recommend E-Gmat. I do not recommend it only in this forum, I also recommend it orally to friends here in Istanbul Turkey.

Retakers, this is what you've been missing! e-GMAT to the rescue.

It's easy to think that you can ace a test that assesses quantitative aptitude and reasoning when you are an engineer-turned-marketer like me. After all, you are an engineer who learned math your entire life and practiced it in various forms during your under grad, and you are a marketing specialist who spends most of her waking hours creating content marketing campaigns for digital platforms. The combination of these two factors made me believe that I didn't need to prepare much for GMAT Quant and that I have mastered the English language well enough to think I could ace GMAT Verbal with little prep. It turns out that I couldn't be more wrong! I took my first GMAT in December 2015, five years after graduating from BITS Pilani and three years after transitioning into a marketing career. I even thought that I did really well on the test - until I saw a score of 620 (V30, Q45) staring back at me from the computer screen on the test center. After a year long hiatus and a bit of introspection, I realized how little I prepared for the test. In addition to a lack of preparation, I completely forgot that the population of test-takers writing the GMAT are smarter and better-prepared than probably any other population I've been graded against before. Many of them even hold the exact same background I do. I wanted to take the test again, but I wasn't sure about the best way to go about preparation. That's when I learned about e-GMAT. Within a few weeks, I bought the VLP and Quant Online courses as birthday presents to myself. I'm only three fourths through the course, but I hope you will find this review helpful.

VLP:

The course structure is so interactive that you will thoroughly enjoy your preparation. Each section (SC, RC, CR) started with an ability quiz that helped me understand where I was. Then came the foundation concepts that are very simple yet added great value. The lectures, the pre-assessment and post-assessment quizzes, apply to GMAT questions and OG questions list really laid down the framework for me. The live sessions not only complimented well with the course content but also helped me stay motivated and build strategies to approach different types of questions. I often found myself accessing past recordings whenever I needed a boost, so I was very glad that if I missed a session, I could access the recordings in my account page and go through the questions and discussions in that particular session.

e-GMAT's SC is hands-down the best investment you'll have ever made if you're struggling with Sentence Correction. The error concepts are easy to understand, to remember and to apply. The meaning analysis and the ABC test helped me avoid simple mistakes that I was making earlier. e-GMAT's CR was an eye-opener for me! Although I deal with critical reasoning on a day-to-day basis, GMAT's CR is on another level. Prethinking, the focus on conclusion and how premises relate to it were very helpful. Prethinking especially helped me break-down an argument into elements and understand the links between those elements, thereby helping me take the guesswork out of the answer. This also helped me a great deal with RC questions. I would get immersed into each passage upon on e-GMAT's advice and work on getting all my main points and structure right. Prethinking may seem time consuming in the beginning but give it a solid 2-3 weeks and you will start to prethink as a reflex. The technique improved my timing considerably - I was averaging about 2 mins/question in my first test, but by my third mock I was answering questions under 1:40s.

I have taken three mocks so far and I found a significant score improvement in SC, RC and CR with each mock I took. I haven't gotten around to the IR part yet, but I'll be sure to update the review with an edit after I have finished it.

Quant Online:

After enrolling for e-GMAT's VLP, I attended the free Number Properties webinars to check if Quant was actually also taught the same way as Verbal. To my pleasant surprise, I realized that Quant also followed a defined structure. I took the Online prep so that I can finish Quant at my own pace and sure enough, I was able to finish it in three weeks while VLP took me nearly two months. The core concepts are broken down into easily manageable chunks and are great place to get you started if you're rusty. Once you are comfortable with the basics, this course will help you go from a Q45 to Q49 as was evident in my mocks. Hopefully, I'll get a minimum Q50 on the real test.

The best part about e-GMAT is that it helps you answer each question with a systematic approach that never fails you. My preparation before I started e-GMAT courses was chaotic and wayward, but the VLP and Quant Online really put things in perspective. What also worked for me is practicing a lot of OG questions until I got super comfortable with each section. I would say

P.S: I selected Rajat under the "Instructor Name" but this shout-out goes out to the entire eGMAT team. Thank you for your continued support and keep up the great work!

Egmat Rocks - Thank you for this great Course

I would like to pen down my experience with egmat throughout my gmat preparation journey.

I believe this course is boon for every aspiring candidate who wants to crack Gmat. I studied this course . However I have just studied the concept . I had no time to practice scholaranium. In this much content also , because of egmat I managed to get 630. For some of you it might not be dream score. But for me , with the help of the egmat content I have studied and my very hectic job, I consider it as an achievement for myself. I give whole credit to this course. I have not covered all the sources available inside the course like I had no time to use their workshops and scholaranium. If I would have covered all the resources available inside the course, I might have scored higher. Nevertheless , I am still happy with whatever I have achieved. Being a working mother and having a taxing job, I still consider my course nice. The best thing about egmat in my case was that I need not to attend any classroom programme.I can study anytime , anywhere. This thing helped me a lot.I am really thankful to the entire team of egmat for all the support they have given me through the entire GMAT journey. Last but not the least, Hats off to there excellent customer service. They have even replied to my emails on the weekends and helped me often by going out of their way. A big Thank you to all. I will recommend this course to anyone who aspire to crack GMAT.

Thanks

Best online interactive learning model

Having planned to give my GMAT few years ago I never had the time to prepare for the same, due to the busy work-life I never seem to have a proper time for a Offline classroom session. Then one day I happen to hear rave reviews about Rajat's session through my colleague , Instantly I scheduled for one of his sessions to try out this online interactive model which e-gmat has been renowned for.

After attending quite a few sessions of Rajat and Payal I had decided to take a plunge into e-gmat for my GMAT preparation.I bought the GMAT Prep Session module and really liked the interactive intuitive model which has been followed by e-gmat.I can phase my learning and also can create a process using the approaches taught by e-gmat.The lucid creation of course content and interactive nature are a great fit for some one like me who find is difficult to learn things after a long gap from college days.

I'm finding learning is fun through e-gmat and this is good fit for someone for whom conventional methods don't seem to work.

The booster shot

So I decided in September 2016 to take the GMAT exam. Like most other people, I began with baselining myself with a mock test. As with most engineers, I breezed through Quant with a Q50, but the winds really turned around when I hit the Verbal section and was stuck with a paltry V21.

Nursing my bruised ego, I went scouting for reliable resources to bolster my Verbal score... and that's when landed with this absolute jewel - the e-gmat verbal course!

What I assumed to be another 'grammar made easy' course actually turned out to be my bastion of support to strengthen my skills in each of the areas - SC, RC & CR. The interface is engaging and absolutely fluid. The lessons are packaged into neat capsules, not delivering even a bit extra than you can consume in one go. Because of the audio interface, I could go through the lessons anytime - while travelling to work, waiting in a queue or simply sitting through during my study time.

The support from the team, webinars and scholaranium tests helped my pick my score one step at a time to bring me to a V34. Kudos team e-gmat - you are the one for us non-natives!

Being a non-native, preparation in verbal course was necessary and need of the hour. My friend introduced me to e-GMAT and I cannot thank him enough for having done that. The videos provided by e-GMAT are full of adequate content and provide good practice questions. This course has helped me brush up my concepts very well.

The RC videos were really helpful as well. e-GMAT provides you a number of key strategies that you must keep in mind while reading through RCs. The best thing in e-GMAT is the scholaranium. it provides practice with previous GMAT test questions and thoroughly prepared questions that test understanding of concepts on the line of GMAT. scholaranium comes with practice and quiz options to practice questions and prepare for test conditions with timed quizzes.

Thank you e-GMAT once again and thanks to all those who read my review till the very end. I hope I was able to motivate a few of you out there like me, who may have totally given up on RC.

The e-GMAT's Quant Live Prep was a great refresher to the quant section. I was already pretty comfortable with quant, but this course definitely helped me improve 2 points on Quant within the first few lectures. Payal was very clear with her explanations and it helped to know that the most important thing is to develop core skills before solving questions. Highly suggest this course for anyone who is already good with math and looking for a quick revision, or anyone who's starting from scratch.

A boon for a non-Native working professional attempting GMAT

March 14, 2017

After 10 years of my career I decided to do an MBA. The decision was a tough one, as I had a demanding job and a family of my own. This meant that I could not take part in a classroom course. So , to begin with, I started my GMAT preparation by reading various books recommended to me by my Friends and as well as by the various reviews and forums in the Internet. I tried this strategy for a couple of months and then took my first diagnostic test. It was not that I was expecting a great result but it was a revelation for me ( 610, Q46, V28). As I reviewed my responses in the diagnostic test, I quickly realized that I had literally guessed 70% of my responses in the verbal section.
My analysis convinced me that I needed to get an expert opinion and the books were not helping. Before I go any further, I would like to mention why the books were not helping. There is a common problem with trying to understand a topic by reading a book- you cannot ask the book a question and expect the book to give you a response. Also most of the books on GMAT-Prep are written for the Native English Language audience.
After going through all the reviews of different GMAT courses on offer on the Internet, I chose the e-GMAT Verbal Online course. There were basically four aspects of the course that helped me to subscribe for e-GMAT Verbal Online course:-
1) The course was specifically for non-Native English language users.
2) The course was iterative and audiovisual in nature
3) The course was self paced
4) The course was one of the cheapest online course available.
GMAT English and verbal is quiet different compared to the English language that I know and that I had been brought up with. This course made this different quiet apparent and with help of the audiovisual and interactive modules taught me all the concept of RC , CR and SC one after another.
After completing the courser I attempted a full blow GMAT Prep software CAT and was pleasantly surprised with the development that I made in my verbal score, which had jumped from V28 to V37. I have one more month to go for my GMAT, and I hope if I keep the momentum, I will be able to crack it. I will come back to my review after my GMAT and inform you my actual GMAT Score to help you make your course decision better.

Absolutely essential for Re-takers with Verbal low scores

March 13, 2017

I had taken my GMAT is Jan'2015 and scored a 640 with a lowly V28
I had presumed that i had messed up my RC and hence the score.
After getting the official analytical report, i realized that my performance in RC , CR and SC were equally abysmal.
I had researched a lot, trust me... a LOT online to find out the best course to uplift my score. Most of the reviews directed me towards e-gmat's verbal online course.
I attended a few webinars and realized that it was the real deal.
So, I have recently re-started my GMAT prep with e-gmat verbal.
Contrary to my earlier apprehensions regarding online learning, i have found this course quite interesting and useful.
The courses are structured in such a way that once the concept is drilled into your mind, you will immediately have to apply it in a set of application tests with varying difficulty.
You will immediately be informed where you stand - concept and application wise. It is quite clear what you need to work on.
Rather than investing a lot of time in areas you are already strong in, you will be able to focus on the 'concern' areas right away.
Also, you continue to be tested with OG questions at every level of your course to keep you in 'sync' with the final level of difficulty.
There is a definite focus on ability rather than accuracy; the distinction is critical.

I am currently going to finish the SC course and feel much more confident with my ability now. Hoping to complete the entire course soon and try to beat the GMAT once again!

e-GMAT a Good verbal course for GMAT takers

I am a non native english and was searching for good GMAT verbal course i've gone through many blogs and found out about e-GMAT and after much analysation and taking the free videos that being hosted by e-GMAT i've decided to go for purchasing the course.

EGMAT videos are very detailed, they teach me everything from the basics and hand hold me to apply what i have learned to the verbal questions. The scholarium questions are very useful, i am able to customise my own set of questions and drills on areas that i am weak at. The questions also come with very detailed explanations.
The method of teaching is very good as it first test you on your current knowledge about the concept and then tell you about the concept and ten again test you for the same which help solidifying the concept a great deal. the review option of the attempted question help you to keep logs of the error you have committed.

so over all it is a good course for the people who all are looking for Verbal course but it totally depend upon the person to person to find the course fit for him so do analyse before buying any course .

good luck to all:)

As a non-native English speaker (and writer as you will see) I needed a course that thought me the foundations, the tricks and the strategy. Now I can say that e-gmat has been extreamly usefull learning tool of those 3 aspects.
- The foundations of SC, Cr and RC are very well covered in their concept files that start from the basic through advanced material
- The verbal live sessions really worth it. The sessions are very well prepared and designed to go deep into core aspects such as pre-thinking or the 3 process step for SC questions
- The strategy sessions tough you how to improve your score and gives you understanding on key things to keep in mind, like takt time
- Scholarium is a great tool for practice your weak areas and keep track of your performance

SC and RC Struggle-- e-gmat to the rescue

March 12, 2017
  • Teacher:
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: No
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 640 After: N/A

I had given my GMAT more than a year ago (640- V28, Q49) and at that point of time I used to absolutely dread RCs. I found them really boring and could never get myself to focus unless it is a short passage. While my quant and CR was always strong, my SC was just average and RCs just didn't interest me.

But each time I would come across a lengthy RC in the middle of my mocks, I would feel irritated to read the long passage, lose time and thereby end up rushing through my SC and CR questions as well.

Then, after another failed attempt at GMAT and reading through many online forum and attending one of the free seminars I was introduced to e-GMAT and It was an eye opener. After a year and half long break, I felt the need to go over SC and CR concepts as well and the videos provided by e-GMAT made them a whole lot of fun. When it came to RC i still remember what one of the instructor said i the free seminar that changed my attitude towards attitude. She said something like when i read this passage I read as if my life depended on it, I read looking for bookmarks to refer back later (in certain cases where you don't get the topic).

The RC videos were ok. it helps you with what to look out for but in general you need to change your attitude on your reading and look out for pointers.
Their strength is their SC course. You face a lot of forums online suddenly stating a rule that they used to get it right. But you just wouldnt know when to apply them. Well e-Gmat Just teaches it bit by bit and gears you up with the a imaginary flowchart of grammar rules that you can just apply and weed out the wrong answers. I feel empowered in SC after going through their videos. Their pre-test and post test are a clear indication of you knowledge level and their ability quizzes just show you here you suck for you to improve upon.

Their scholarnium tests however are incredibly hard!! So what you need hard questions to get the score you want right? One thing I found that is unrealistic is that they are timed a bit too short(ability quizzes i mean you do what you want with custom quizzes). When you are thrown 10 hard questions back to back you end up spending a bit more time juggling the rules/traps through your mind and I found very hard to finish it all on time with equal focus. But hey you prepare for the worst n expect the best.

One thing they also did is give me 800 score test and gmat club test. Since my weakness was obviously verbal i made use of these resources as well and my Verbal score went up to 36 from 28. I know I am still not there yet. I still have a month to prepare and practice to get to v40+ range (thats my aim) and I feel like it is just around the corner.

Thank you e-GMAT once again and thanks to all those who read my review till the very end. I hope I was able to motivate a few of you out there like me, who may have totally given up on RC and SC. I will try my best to update my final GMAT score once I have it. Meanwhile I highly encourage people esp. non natives to sign up for this if they feel like they are struggling.

All the best to you all !!

I am an engineer studying for the G-MAT in Nigeria. I had used a few books and materials online to prepare for the exam but it all seemed like i was getting mentally exhausted as there was so much to read and so little time. I made up my mind to look for a good online resource that was relatively affordable and also easy to use. After searching online for a long time, i came across the e-gmat online prep. The reviews were awesome and i decided to purchase access to the course content. I was also privy to some of the webminars conducted by Rajat and Payal of e-gmat and i found them to be totally awesome. I took a mock test and i got a total score of 510. I immediately noticed my weak point in the areas of reading comprehension and sentence correction. The e-gmats course helped me identify a fantastic strategy to tackling the most abstract and uninteresting comprehension passages by deploying effective reading strategies. I have also been able to master and identify the best ways of tacking the gmat SC questions. My mock tests currently leave me with V40 score from a V25! A significant improvement i must say. I have scheduled the exam for next month and my confidence level has hit the roof thanks to e-gmat. I would strongly recommend it for everyone looking to ace the verbal and quant for the exams especially the non-native english candidates.

Great course!

I have a long history with E-Gmat. In 2012 after getting 36 on verbal I found free webinar about GMAT strategies and after taking it decided to try the course. The course was great and after retaking the test I saw a better score ? 39. Overall score was not enough for me, so I stopped studying for a while. In 2016 I decided to try again and came back to e-gmat, because I already saw that it was very effective. I watched again all the videos and did all the exercises and finally was rewarded with 44 on my last official attempt.
What I liked about E-GMAT Verbal
- It is easy to follow and it has all the information you need
- I am not a native speaker, so it was very beneficial for me, because it taught me things that we do not learn in school.
- A lot of practice material, which resembles GMAT questions very close
- Scholarium is amazing, so many practice questions and great explanations.
- I can see great results after using the course.

Awesome learning experience with EGMAT! :D

i will say EGMAT is the most interactive and useful platform to ace verbal for GMAT. Before i started using this platform, i did some self-study with manhattan verbal guide books, to be honest, the books did not help me much. I also completed the OG guide questions but i still did not feel confident because my application skills for CR and SC are still lacking.

EGMAT videos are very detailed, they teach me everything from the basics and hand hold me to apply what i have learned to the verbal questions. The scholarium questions are very useful, i am able to customise my own set of questions and drills on areas that i am weak at. The questions also come with very detailed explanations.

I felt that my verbal has improved tremendously after learning lot from EGMAT. I will recommend you to consider EGMAT as your study partner to ace the GMAT. It is really worth the money that you have paid for for this course. :)
