TTP was the bootcamp I needed to maximize my confidence on test day.

After studying for 6 months and scoring 660-690 on practice exams, I choked and scored a 660 (42 Quant) on Test Day, with my quant score particularly low. I was bummed. Yes, it was my first time taking it, but I psyched myself out when I started taking too much time on the first 10 questions in Quant. It threw off my rhythm, and I ended up having to race through the test of test, panicking and most likely making casual mistakes. I took two months off and started studying with a different Test Prep self-paced course, and I was very excited as I scored 750 on one practice test. However, that was the only practice test I took and was very cocky going into the exam after 30 days of serious prep. But, when I got to the Quant, I again froze after busting my butt through those first few questions. I couldn't focus well for the rest of the exam, and ended up cancelling my score of 650. I felt like I failed myself after feeling so confident going into it. As I did some soul-searching, I started checking out the blogs on GMAT Club and Beat The GMAT. I discovered Target Test Prep, where everybody raved about how thorough the Quant Prep material was. That was what I needed: even though I majored in math in college, I was used to higher-level math and longer periods of time to solve fewer questions. I needed better strategies for solving easy and medium difficulty questions if I was going to break 700. After a hardcore two additional months of going through the supplemental notes and targeted quizzes, I felt like I was prepared for any kind of question on the exam. TTP breaks the material down into ultra-specific sections, some of which I would assume have a low probability of being on the exam. However, this extremely thorough and rigorous study material was exactly when I needed to stay both confident AND calm on test day. When I took my exam two weeks ago, I understood my weaknesses going in. I recognized many problems that I could find simple, process-driven solutions to. I may have still made a few careless errors, but I felt very proud of myself for finishing the Quant with a minute to spare. I believe this also helped with my confidence going into the verbal section next, since I wasn't on edge worrying about how I did on Quant. When I saw that I scored 710, I was absolutely thrilled. I increased in EVERY Section on the GMAT (46 Quant, 40 Verbal, 5/8 IR, and 6/6 Analytical Writing). I thank TTP so much for helping me to almost feel OVER-prepared on test day.

TTP helped raise my quant score from a Q44 to a Q50. The course content is extremely thorough, and within the first few weeks I was already hitting 47+. Although there is no live tutor, TTP often hosts webinars and makes sure to answer any questions regarding course content as soon as possible. In particular, I was extremely impressed by the intuitive UI and how easily digestible course materials were. While some of the quiz questions are definitely more difficult than what you would find on an actual exam, they definitely work to sharpen students' understanding of the underlying concepts. I absolutely could not have scored a 750 on the GMAT without TTP.

A Quant Miracle

I took the GMAT back in December 2019, and I received a 39 on quant after 6 months of dedicated study. I was about to give up on business school altogether, when I stumbled upon Target Test Prep. I figured, "what do I have to lose?", so I signed up and started the dedicated study. Target Test Prep is not a study program to teach you quick tricks and gimmicks - it genuinely teaches you how to be a competent quantitative thinker. My "plan" was to just learn the tricks that quant throws at you, and that knowing the gimmicks would get me the high score. Target Test Prep doesn't do that. It arms you with every single question type available, and drills you with the hardest possible questions in each category. Once I took my first practice test after Target Test Prep, I was in shock - I genuinely had a deep understanding of the problems, and knew exactly what the GMAT was asking of me. After 6 months of hard, dedicated study, my quant score went from a meager 39 to a 49. It's worth noting, that they also added verbal study. I only needed help in the sentence correction category, and Target Test Prep delivered here as well. It is the first test prep program I have seen that gives you extremely difficult questions, then walks you through them until you understand them. It makes the real GMAT, in comparison, look like a piece of cake. Anyone who needs to study for the GMAT, do not think twice. Target Test Prep is the clear choice.

TTP was exactly what they advertised, a great service with exceptional support. I was able to go from a Q43 before TTP to a Q50 after TTP and sustain that score for all of the the Mocks and eventually into my final test. If you have any doubts about your quant score, TTP is your answer!

I used the TTP accelerated plan to specifically work on my quant preparation between my first and second test sittings. The program is well-planned and thorough, and allowed me to hone in on the types of questions that had been giving me trouble. The program includes plenty of unique topic and section quizzes to help simulate the test environment, along with detailed topic explanations and shortcuts to help save time and maximize efficiency on the exam. All in all, TTP was exactly what I was looking for to improve my quant score, and I highly recommend it.

Everything you need for 770+

August 17, 2020
  • Teacher: Marty
  • Recommended forVerbal: No  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 740 After: 780

This course was highly effective at providing what I needed, which was a comprehensive self-study overview of GMAT content. The material is taught in an order that makes sense, and you can go at your own pace. Although I started from a high base score (740 on my first official MBA.com practice exam with no real studying), I felt that TTP helped me fill the gaps in my skills to ensure that I would get a 770+ on test day. My last three practice exams (taken over the course of 5 weeks prior to my exam) were all 770, with verbal scores ranging from 45-47 and quant scores between 49-51. Test day was a bit stressful, but I was able to pull a 780 (Q49, V51, IR8). Marty was extremely helpful in motivating me and providing targeted advice for how I should structure my prep. I didn't need to or want to chat with him on a weekly basis about my prep, but he was extremely responsive when I needed advice. The only downside about this course is that the verbal questions (especially CR) are really, really hard (almost demoralizingly so). But they prepare you well, and I got a V51 on test day, so I can't complain. The quant questions are tricky but cover just about every concept you could reasonably expect to see - I found their quant material to be representative of the test material.

After joining the Flexible Plan for a few months, and thoroughly studying the material and completing the quizzes, I was able to reach my target 99th percentile GMAT score. TTP provides challenging questions that will help you prepare for the official exam, and Scott, Jeffrey, and Marty are available to assist with any questions regarding the explanations. I have recommended TTP to a friend of mine, and she is finding it useful so far as well!

TTP is really amazing. It has a scientific and data oriented approach which is super easy to use. I love that TTP helps me to systematically review Quant, log my errors, and target weak points. If you are rusty on Quant questions (like me in the spring), TTP is an amazing way to learn and master GMAT quant.

Target Test Prep Is The Most Effective GMAT Guide

August 3, 2020

I began my GMAT journey at the beginning of the New Year and was recommended by a friend to use Target Test Prep (TTP) as a guide. The TTP Curriculum was thorough and gave me great insight into the different types of questions that would be asked on the exam. When I was first introduced to the course, only a guide for the Quantitative Section was available. After completing the guide for quant, I was consistently scoring at least a Q49 on Official Practice Exams. My struggles came on the Exam’s Verbal Section. Shortly after my first few practice exams, TTP released its Verbal Course and I saw an instant score improvement. My verbal score quickly jumped from low 30s to low 40s. After 2 in person test cancellations due to COVID-19 and a technical error on my first online exam, I was finally able to complete my first GMAT Exam, scoring a 730 (Q49/V41).

The quality of the content in TTP, for both verbal and quant, is top notch and extremely thorough. Perhaps my favorite part of the study program is how clearly it lays out a study plan. Developing a masterful study plan was something I was initially very worried about when starting my GMAT prep, but TTP laid it all out for me in an effective and easy-to-follow format. Before coming to TTP’s self study plan, I was scoring in the low 600’s. After 6 months of prep with them, my speed and accuracy for quant and verbal(pre beta version) drastically increased. The Hard problems that they provide in each chapter really make the actual exam problems so much easier. I’d say one key thing to remember is to really spend time with the solution answers whether you got the question right or wrong. The solutions that TTP provides is second to none, so focusing on quality over quantity especially with this platform, will improve your score drastically!

TTP drives understanding of content

I used TTP to re-study, and found that it really forced me to understand all the concepts tested on the GMAT. While preparing for my first sitting, I did too many practice questions without understanding my mistakes. TTP is designed to make you slow down while learning, and then go into the exam better prepared. I found that I was faster without doing much timed practice because of the level of understanding I had developed. I recommend using TTP from the beginning of your studies. If, however, you are retaking, it will definitely serve you well.

Absolutely incredible platform! I was already farily strong in Quant, but wanted to brush up my skills and ensure that I would achieve 49+. Walked through each essential GMAT skill for Quant and boosted my confidence. The Verbal beta really pushed my abilities to the next level and allowed me to break that 700 barrier. Would recommend to anyone for both Verbal and Quant!

I was looking for a way to boost my quant score without having to purchase an entire program. After some research, I went with Target Test Prep as it was user friendly, had a wealth of practice tests, and broke the content out in a manageable way. I went from 680 on practice tests to a 740 on the real test. A few other things that I like: -Formula sheets -Constant review either through "reminders" or review tests -"Analytics" - shows you your weakest topics, breaks out your accuracy for each topic, towards the end as you're taking practice tests, there are "weak topic tests", -Practice tests broken out by easy, medium, and hard -Example problems in the lessons -Ability to electronically take notes in the lesson portion and flag problems -Notes and flagged problems all accessible in one place when you're reviewing right before the GMAT -Customizable tests -Chat box to ask questions if you're really unsure of an explanation I really cannot recommend this enough. I went from struggling to complete the quant section to finishing with 3 minutes to spare (and the actual GMAT questions felt so much easier).

TTP's practice questions and explanations were hugely impactful in my preparation for the GMAT. They break the quant section down into 19 various question type categories, and I just went through and practiced every single question until I mastered each category. When you get one wrong, they have any amazing breakdown so you can understand where you went wrong and fix it for next time. They are rolling out more and more verbal prep as well, and the critical reasoning practice was super helpful because that was the weakest part of my verbal. All in all, I was able to jump to a 770 on my real test, and TTP was instrumental in making that happen! Highly recommend!

Hi, Starting with only 520, I improved my score to 700 (GMAT Online). Studying with Target Test Prep was the best decision I made during the prep! Initially, I was using the MGMAT books that I got from a friend, but the score did not improve much after a few weeks of studying. So, I decided to look for an alternative way of studying. Luckily, Marty Murray, whom I found on the internet, referred me to Target Test Prep. I enjoyed studying with TTP because it was keeping me engaged through the course. That I could see my score improving gradually was rather motivating. The material is very thorough and the grind is not tiring at all. It is impressive how the material builds up block by block, eventually increasing the difficulty. I highly appreciate the time the TTP stuff took to answer my many questions. I also appreciated a lot of material on different GMAT strategies, such as the GMAT time management strategy. I will definitely recommend Target Test Prep to all my friends. I really enjoyed the tranquil self-studying! Thank you Scott, Marty, Jeff, Amaury, and Rafael. You guys are the best!

Their analytics break down exactly which topics are your strengths and weaknesses, helping you to focus your studying. I highly recommend trying TTP for yourself, the $1 trial gives you a 5-day chance to test out their program.
