e-GMAT verbal online is very efficient and convenient tool for self coaching for busy working professionals.

The verbal online platform is pretty effective.
Sentence correction section: The method of applying the thorough error analysis and emphasis on meaning in the very first sentence is pretty efficient in long and higher level questions. The method along with POE has helped me in gaining a lot of confidence in sentence correction question.

Critical reasoning Section: The method of pre-thinking the possible answers is good, but I still find it difficult sometimes. Explanations for the bold faced type question are very good. Overall, the method of prethinking the possible correct answer choice is a good method for higher difficulty questions.

Reading comprehension: Verbal online of e-GMAT gives good ways to tackle tough RCs and and do the answer choice analysis for each type of Reading comprehension questions .

Overall I am quite satisfied with the e-GMAT verbal online platform.

Best verbal guide ever and closest to the actual GMAT questions

I had taken the GMAT for the first time in September 2017. After having prepared for 3 months incessantly with a demanding job in Private Equity, i was scoring a modest 690 on my mock tests. I come from a convent school and have decent command over English language. Thus, I primarily studied from the Manhattan series (which is regarded as the holy bible for Verbal and thought that would be enough to crack the Verbal section. Being an engineer, Quant was never a struggle for me and i was scoring a consistent Q49 on my mock tests. This was going to be my first attempt and i was confident that i could get a decent score with this level of preparation. However, the GMAT taught me a lesson and showed how much i underestimated the test and especially the verbal section.
I scored a mere 640 on the actual exam and realized just how different the Verbal section was from what i had been practicing during my mocks. The GMAT tests very specific skills for the Verbal section. The meaning is of essence and not just the Grammar. I had focused only on the grammar rules during my preparation. At the same time i realised that the course material i used for practicing the Verbal section was far from what the actual questions were on the GMAT.
I was extremely confused about my strategy for prparation for the next attempt. More so because i had exhausted all the material - Kaplan, Veritas, Manhattan, OGs, in my previous preparation. This is when my friend recommended e-GMAT to me and i cant thank him enough. e-GMAT gave me a structure approach to tackling the Verbal section. Kudos to their support team for being so prompt and from the time i made my purchase they have been extremely helpful in guiding me through my preparation. Not only is the course content exhaustive, the approach to teaching the videos is simple yet detailed. The feature i love the most apart from the scholaranium of course, is the detailed explanation of each question and the trailing QandA. Reviewing the trailing QandA helped me understand what are the areas where one can go wrong and how to avoid those. Also, having answered GMAT once, i am now certain that e-GMAT's verbal section comes closest to the type of questions on actual test and difficulty level of the Verbal section.
I have been now getting a consistent 39-40 on my Verbal in mock tests. My next attempt is scheduled in June 2018 and i am hopeful that i can make it to my desired score this time around with the help of e-GMAT.

E-Gmat Quant Review

March 24, 2018

  • GMAT ScoresBefore: N/A After: N/A

I had a very good time solving mathematics while I was in school. And it has been more than 8 years since I had solved anything even remotely related to a mathematical problems as my work does not require mathematics. And when we talk about quant section of GMAT, it has been almost 12 years that I had solved anything similar. I knew that I had to get a really good score in GMAT to stand any chance of admission in a good business school. So when I asked anyone what books and courses to do for quant, people came up with 50 different options. Those who had scored 49 and above in the quant section generally cited multiple sources. That put me in a dilemma. I was looking for just one reliable source for quant that would cover everything. I had heard good things about E-Gmat verbal and I had liked the structure. So I thought to try the quant course from E-Gmat as well. I will break down the structure for your reference. The quant course on E-Gmat is divided into 5 large sections- 1.Number System: This has 8 subsections followed by one assessment. I completed this section in one week. I solved one sub-section every weekday and on Saturday I solved 3 sub-sections. On Sunday I did the assessment and reviewed the whole section once again. 2.Word Problems: This has 8 sub-sections followed by one assessment. I took one week to completely finish this. Each weekday to solve one sub-section and then I doubled up over the weekend. 3. Algebra: This has 7 subsections followed by one assessment. I did this after Geometry. So I had almost 4 weekdays followed by the weekend. I did one sub-section each of the first 3 days and then 2 sub-sections each for next two days and on Sunday I did the assessment. 4.Geometry: This has 7 subsections followed by one assessment. I gave this section one long weekend. 5.Advanced Topics: This has 3 subsections followed by one assessment. This is a very important section as it has Permutations & Combinations, Probability and Sets. I did Sets along with Number systems (one week), Permutations and Combinations along with Word Problems (1 week) and then I took 2 days to finish off the Probability. I took one more day to finish the assessment. I took rest of the week to review quant completely. Order of study: Long weekend (Friday-Monday): I thought to start with geometry because it is the smallest section. I took one long weekend (4 days to finish this). Week 2 (Tuesday- Sunday): I followed it up with Algebra because algebra has inequalities and on average we receive 2-3 inequality questions so this section was important. I took 6 days (4weekdays and a weekend) to finish this section. I did Sets from the advanced topic along with the Algebra. I must add something here. Even though this section appears tough but E-Gmat did an excellent job in explaining concepts at the very basic level. Additionally, the moment you cross 49 in GMAT quant you would get one P&C or Probability or inequality question so it is very important that you not skip these sections at all if you want to get a decent score. Week 3 (Monday- Sunday): Next I completed Number system and I did Sets from advanced topics parallel with Number system. So in one week both number system and probability were done. Week 4 (Monday-Sunday): In the end I tackled the word problems. I also did permutations and combinations along with word problems. Week 5 (Monday- Sunday): In the end I took off 2 days to finish off the Probability sub-section from advanced topics. Then I took 1 day to finish the assessment. I took rest of the week to review the quant section completely. Secret tip: To make sure that I do not forget what I had already covered I did 10 questions from the section that I had finished every day. So starting from week 2, I did 10 questions from geometry every day (covering each sub-section from geometry). In week 3 I did 10 questions from geometry and algebra every day. In week 4 I did 10 questions each from geometry, algebra and number system every day. This may sound too much but this made sure that I was putting in increasingly more work when gmat was approaching. I took questions from scholaranium or the already solved questions from section reviews. I made a note of all the questions I did incorrectly. I reviewed that every other day. I am currently scoring 50 or above in each of the mock that I am taking and I am sure gmat is going to be a cakewalk when quant sections comes. Thanks a lot for reading through my review. I hope this helps in planning and executing the beast we all love to hate, GMAT. Best of luck.

After three unsuccessful attempts, I was thinking to follow a course for GMAT. For those three attempts, I didn't follow any course or tuition .But I did self-study by using old library books and OG 2017. In my mock exam I got Q 51 on quant. But, Every time, my real gmat scores ended up with Q38-40 on quant. I was Exhausted and Frustrated. I wasted my time and money by not following a correct guidance. One day I attended the free webinar conducted by Payal tondon of Egmat on Number Properties. I felt curious about the course and went through all egmat freebies. I also read lot of EGMAT reviews on gmat club .Finally , I decided i should give it a try.I purchased Egmat online course.

I was amazed to see such a quality and organized content. Before starting concept files, egmat will offer you optional pre assessment quiz. Whenever you finish you finish the concepts files they will give you a recommended post assessment quiz. Then you will know, How much you improved. All the application quizzes and Practice quizzes will help you to achieve your dream. Egmat Experts will always be there to support.

The flagship feature of their course is undoubtedly the Scholaranium. Scholaranium will help you gauge precisely the areas of strengths and weaknesses . This will show you precisely where to focus your efforts on in the days leading up to the test.
GMAT online has been a worthwhile investment. I strongly recommend it. You will improve your understanding of each section and will have the opportunity to practice as many exercises as you can within the Scholaranium . If you have a chance just try the free trial and you will notice the difference.

E-GMAT a guide to Logical English

You would laugh out loud at my language skills if you saw any of the articles or essays I wrote in exams during my high school. So bad was my English that I didn't know any grammar rules. I don't have a fancy writing expressio as I do not like to read books, So please bare with me for my helpful review.

I have prepared for GMAT since 2 years now with a very disappointing score of 590 last year . Obviously I rejected my score at the end of exam.
My very close friend who scored an astonishing 760 suggested me to register for E-Gmat verbal online course.

I have been religiously following their SC approach which is very well explained in the concept files, as a result my accuracy and speed on SC has significantly improved.

GMAT is all about thinking logically and they very well explain how to do so.
The RC videos are also helpful and they provide you with a number of key strategies that you must keep in mind while reading through RCs.

I am still to give a final attempt at GMAT very soon . Wish me luck :)

Best choice for quant

If anyone is stuck with the question of where/who to go for your GMAT exam preparation, I would strongly recommend e- Gmat to anyone!

A bit about me, I am a product manager coming from Greece and now residing in Salzburg. I am working in the automotive sector and I have been taking different roles in Austria and Greece. Last year, I decided to go for a top MBA admission. I felt that my mathematics skill is not up to the standard to get a top score in order to get into the desired school. I started reading couple books and OG guides but I felt even more stressed, I just couldn't get any score improvement.

I have come across reviews about e-gamt on beatthegmat.com and I went into their free webinar on quant, without a doubt I purchased the quant live prep course.

I can confidently say that e-gmat course is the best out there. e-gmat has very detailed and clear theory course content for you to understand the concept/ theory and they have the live sessions to explain how to apply that theory to getting answers to the questions. Together with the recorded version of the live sessions are as good as the live sessions, my confidence, strategy to the exam and score has improved.

I am going to write the exam in April, however, due to some personal reasons I had to move my exam couple of time, and I must say that the customer service from e-gamt has been really good. They have extended my course for a couple of months for free.

The course is really interesting and informative, I bought the verbal and quant live prep courses, the course will literally prepare you for the exam performance and results, together with the best customer service I received from e-gamt, I am confident to get the desired score I want to and I would definitely recommend them to any non-native and native students who are looking to get the best score in beating the Gmat.

Good Luck to you all.

Egmat - Best for Quant

My goal when I started preparing was to score 720-730 (Q50, V38-40), and my first mock score was 520. I was sure that I would need to work on Quant, However I had never imagined that I have to start with this low score. I purchased and referred many books like MGMAT, etc. It helped to improve my Quant score but I was not appear for satisfying score and got exhausted soon. I went online to review a full courses and ended up taking Egmat Quant online course, And it worked magically. That was one of the best decisions that I have made in my GMAT journey.

Egmat gives you deep study plan, very easy language with detailed explanation which helps you to relate to the topics easily. Scholaranium is very helpful to identify your weak areas and help us to target them ( it gives you accurate data ). They provide you strategies which are helpful especially for weak areas. I was able to get right answer in short time. It also gives you topic summary at the end of each topic in brief which helps you to understand the topic even more.

e-GMAT's Verbal Live Prep is ideal for non-native students

March 15, 2018

  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 650 After: 690

Hi guys, I improved from V29 to V35 over a span of 3 months. Writing the review in pointers for ease of reading. :)

1. I started with e-GMAT's Verbal Online in 2017 but the major mistake I made was of not attempting Scholaranium. So my score didn't improve from 650.

2. I had a call with Mr. Piyush Beriwala in Dec 2017 and that is when he helped me identify my mistakes. I was reading too fast, without understanding. I was unable to apply all the SC rules eGMAT taught me via Verbal Online. I mismanaged time. Finished the Verbal section too soon. Quant was fine at 49.

3. I enrolled for Verbal Online Prep in Dec 2017 and attended their sessions on SC and CR primarily. Once I got the methodology of attempting GMAT questions I simply customised quizzes in Scholaranium, as Mr. Piyush Beriwala has suggested, and gained confidence in solving Verbal questions. I am in love with Scholaranium. It did wonders for me.

4. GMAT Mock tests are a must. So please don't ignore them.

5. I read on another platform that 150 words per minute should be the ideal reading speed, so I adapted myself to that and it did wonders to me.

6. For SC, CR and RC understanding every work you read and making paragraph summaries is essential. So is prethinking.

7. Don't overestimate yourself or underestimate the GMAT if you've been a highscoring English student and/or a public speaker in India. GMAT has rules which must be followed. I thought my English and grammar is good so it'll be a cakewalk but it wasn't in the initial attempt coz I wasn't following the rules. And being beaten in English was quite disheartening.

8. e-GMAT faculty is friendly, professional and experienced. The courses are beautifully designed. Make the most of their expertise.

9. Stay calm on test day. Enjoy the entire process. Book a Pearson VUE centre, they give a better test experience.

10. Do listen to interviews of people who've improved tremendously. Mr. Rajat Sadana posts them regularly.

I was extremely happy to see a 690 flash on the computer screen when I appeared for GMAT in Feb end. I still feel I am away from the psychologically fab score of 700+ but I will settle with a 690 due to my other engagements :)

All the best to all aspiring GMAT test-takers.

Apt GMAT verbal course for Non-Natives

March 15, 2018
  • Teacher: e-GMAT
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: No
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: N/A After: N/A

After spending a considerable amount of time over material with a classroom prep, and then with published study guides, I realised I needed something different which would help me build my concepts and apply the same from the GMAT perspective .

A friend of mine recommended e-GMAT Verbal Online. That is then when I decided to contact the e-GMAT strategy consultant and decided the course was right for me.

In the Verbal Online course, start with the GMAT planner to find the number of days you need to achieve your target GMAT score & target sectional ability. Also, give the sectional diagnostic tests for SC, CR & RC.

First of all, their Master Comprehension section is designed in way that it helps to comprehend complex sentences. This forms the foundation of SC, CR & RC. Please do not skip any section.

I have to admit that their approach to Sentence Correction is absolutely the best for non-natives. The course is structured into manageable snippets of videos/articles followed by concept quizzes to check the conceptual understanding. Then, there are application files which helps to show how to apply the meaning & grammar to solve the SC Qs. Finally the practice Quizzes and OG Quizzes helps to check your ability in the topic.

Wrt to CR, the pre-thinknig approach helps you to nail any CR Question with ease.

The RC videos were really helpful as well. e-GMAT provides you a number of key strategies that you must keep in mind while reading through RCs. The one strategy that did the trick for me was "to get immersed" while reading any passage.

Finally, Schloranium is the best practice material one can do use to do sectional verbal tests or custom Quizzes.
These Qs help to build process adherence and speed. A religious use of the same can help to improve the score on the verbal to V40.

I have seen improvement in my verbal ability and quite hopeful my GMAT will go well. I would highly recommend the e-GMAT verbal course to all prospective GMAT candidates.

E-Gmat is your ultimate weapon for GMAT Verbal.

Hi everyone,
I started my GMAT prep back in 2016. I come from a commerce background and gave my GMAT in September 2016. got a 420! I was completely devastated and cancelled the score without thinking twice. Frustrated with the failure, I couldn't think of any direction to improve on my verbal (V19). I had utilized all the prep resources by this time i.e Manhattan prep books , veritas prep books and also BYJUs. But all this didn't seem to help at all.
Right where i could see no hope at all, A friend told me about e-gmat and their approach to tackle verbal. So i decided to attend their free webinar. and that's where the turning point of my gmat prep clicked in. I soon decided to enroll for E-gmat verbal online course and i must say,I'm pretty impressed. Impressed by the way they have structured their course, They way the have presented the concepts in a easy yet comprehensive manner. It's natural for anyone to get adopted to their teaching style, even an average student such as myself could see the progress immediately in a few weeks itself. my SC improved drastically! I was surprised myself. Thanks to the Egmat scholaranium. my SC accuracy level improved from 40 percent to 70-80 percent. Also, the course helped me a lot in improving my CR section, Their pre-thinking approach just makes it so simple on the go. With this kind of confidence in the verbal GMAT section, I decided to Retake the GMAT soon after finishing the entire course. MY target score is a 750 and it's always has been. On the retake I scored a 710(Q49 V38) I sure was happy seeing the improvement, But i still Have a long road ahead. And with E-gmat on my side, I'm pretty confident i'll achieve it soon. :)

Best SC Prep Material

After spending a lot of time poring over material published by other prep providers, I still had serious gaps in my conceptual understanding of various topics.

A friend of mine recommended E-GMAT and I decided to give it a shot. Their material blew me away. I have to admit that their approach to Sentence Correction is absolutely the best out of all test prep providers. The course is structured into topics that are further broken down into separate 13-15 minute videos each covering various grammar rules. Each lecture is preceded and followed by quiz to check you understanding and help you retain the material. I found this feature extremely useful. The material is comprehensive and accompanied with readings that discuss grammar rules in greater detail. I found the articles on modifiers especially useful because I kept confusing noun and verb modifiers. Besides SC component of the course, both RC and CR are also highly recommended. CR is approached in a method that is very tactical. If you follow the process laid out in the course, you'll be surprised you even get the harder questions right.

I found Quant useful for the harder topics on the GMAT (Perm/Comb/Prob). The lectures were very easy to understand and I made my own notes throughout that I could easily refer to later. Quant questions in the Scholaranium are indispensable for your GMAT prep and I highly recommend that one complete all of the questions to make you sure you ace the exam on test day!

Overall I am completely satisfied with the course and I haven't had to open another prep provider's book throughout the course!

Organised and Planned Strategy to Approach GMAT Verbal

I was lucky to come across e-gmat during one of the events I attended in Bangalore. Being a BITS spark venture ,e-gmat drew my attention. For someone with a very busy work schedule it becomes very crucial to plan your time for studying for the GMAT exam. As GMAT is a measure of ability and not accuracy a focussed preparation is very important. I started by taking the diagnostic test at the e-gmat platform to assess my ability before starting my preparation. I then followed a customised planner that is available to use based on how you scored, how much you want to score and timelines you would need to stick one. I end up stretching on the weekends as far as time is concerned and usually keep a max of 2 hrs on a weekday to maintain consistency.Let's face it like any other exam regular practice is a must in case of GMAT. Even if you cant spend 4 hrs daily you can squeeze out time may be early morning or during lunch or even on the commute back from work. Its all about being creative. Being an online course all you need is a good internet connection. There have been times I have watched e-gmat lectures on a iPad also, thats the beauty of their platform. Besides consolidating a really good course rajat and the rest of the team at e-gmat is extremely helpful and responsive. Compared to a lot of programs in the market the customer service/doubt solving at e-gmat is its biggest asset. You don't have to wait a week for a reply, people are working round the clock to help
you with your entire GMAT preparation. I would highly recommend the e-gmat verbal course to anyone serious about their MBA plans.

Overall it heard a lot about e-gmat course, lot of positive feedback. I have recently enrolled to improve my overall verbal level to re-take exam. The e-gmat on-line verbal has the following benefits:

Sentence Correction:

1- detailed explanation of each concept with detailed videos
2- the course works just great for non-native speaker as it tackles all needed foundation and expand it to advanced topics
3- the OG practice explanation is also wonderful, it provides more detailed explanation linked to concept explained in e-gmat on-line course.

Overall e-gmat SC is must have to excel in this area and build right mastery.

CR is another interesting course in e-gmat verbal it provide great illustration on different CR question types. The pre-thinking strategy is a spot on if you master it and make it a second nature during answering gmat CR question.

In short e-gmat provides strong foundation and clear strategies to follow, to me it is matter of hammering on practice to get maximum out of the course.

best of luck...

e-GMAT Quant Online Review

March 10, 2018
  • Teacher:
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: N/A After: N/A

I signed up for e-GMAT online course back in 2017 and I didn't start my prep until end of 2017.

I have an Engineering background and I have been working in Oil & Gas business for about 3.5 years now. With an above average math background it made sense to start with Quant. However to my surprise, I found out from my OG mock exam and one official GMAT test results that my problem solving aptitude has gone very rusty and I needed to revisit all the basic concepts.

I was rather quick to realize that I need help from prep companies and I started readings reviews on various study materials on several forums. e-GMAT had consistently good reviews on verbal courses, however at that point their quant course was not as popular. So I attended couple of free webinars of RC,SC offered from e-GMAT. I was really hooked and I wanted to try their quant webinars as well. And I quickly made a decision to buy GMAT online course (Quant + Verbal).

I put all the eggs in one basket and here is why I don't regret it. No matter how good your problem solving aptitude is, it is important to understand and come up with a strategy to tackle a computer adaptive test like GMAT. Especially when you are looking to score Q50 or 51, it is important to develop some strategy for every section, that's when e-GMAT quant online course makes things easy for you. I work full time and sometimes the work load is just too much and I spent hours & hours looking for free reading material online and I was trying solve problems randomly. This approach is dangerous especially for DS questions, you might end up spending more time than what you're supposed to.

e-GMAT quant course offers organized way of learning and practicing questions. They have concept files, practice test quizzes and then they have platform known as scholaranium (which is a great place to measure your current ability).
After just following their study plan where you start from concept file and moving on to solving quiz, helps to retain concepts and with a structured approach. There are multiple ways to solve almost any quant problem, but it helps to get more questions correct when you apply a structured approach of problem solving. There is really no reason to be creative.

I followed their structured approach in several topics and I have really gotten much better than where I was when I gave the mock exam. I feel like I'm back on track. Now I have to push towards Q50/51.

I would recommend e-GMAT quant course for any busy working professional.

Thank you e-GMAT for both Quant and verbal courses.

Their Master Comprehension section is designed in way that it accelerates your understanding about a sentence and really improves your overall comprehending ability of a passage as well as sentence provided we strictly follow word by word what it says. Please do not skip any section however easy it may sound or appear and take this course first before anything and you will see the difference.

Before coming to e-gmat i had gone through Manhattan SC book twice- trust me i knew each and every rule but lacked its application- In No way Manhattan SC book is bad or inferior but the way it is written is something a non native speaker may not be fully understand and apply wherever required- Here comes the e-Gmat- They do not focus on all the Bizarre grammatical stuff instead give you powerful logical ability to understand and breakdown a sentence into its most basic form and then attack- it took me so much time to understand why i have to spend 60% of time on option A because the habit i had was result of very notorious and bad strategy. E-Gmat tells you about meaning and logic based SC solution and at the same time teaches you exactly the grammar that you should know- No less No More.

I have been going through their CR and RC course as of now and i can tell that they are very well written.

Overall, it's must if you don't want to waste your time and energy.

I have a commerce background and GMAT Quant section was not easiest one for me. I took my first mock test in June 2017 and scored Q30 only. When I started my GMAT preparation I thought that I need to improve my Quant section much more. I was spending most of time in reading various quant books, but it seemed no improvement at all. Each time I would come across confusing among Number properties, Word problems and Advance topics in mock test, I would feel low and lose time and thereby end up rushing through my overall Quant section as well.

I have taken e-GMAT's Quant Live Prep subscription from August, 2017 and I'm extremely happy with their service. The Quant Live Prep includes Quant Online as well. The Quant course is in the form of video lessons followed by practice quizzes. The first quiz question on each section consists typically on low level questions that help you understand the basics. On the second quiz, the difficulty level of the questions increases progressively. They were light and helped me brush up my concepts very well. The online classes are scheduled for weekends which worked perfect with my schedule. The instructors were very knowledgeable in each and every topics.

The entire Quant course in e-GMAT is divided into 5 sections: Number Properties, Algebra, Geometry, Word problems, and Advance topics. I was quite amazed with their structured approach of solving DS problems. The strategies employed to tackle DS problems wonders for me. Scholaranium is very useful in preparing for the exam. The questions in Scholaranium are of high quality and gives a good insight into the questions that one can face on the exam day.

Last week I gave mock and my score was 630 (Q45 and V33). Now I can compare my Quant score. Thank you e-GMAT once again. I will suggest every GMAT taker to take e-GMAT Live Prep course for achieving your target score.
All the best!!

I signed up for e-gmat since mid-Nov'17 . I can say that e-gmat has clearly changed my approach towards the GMAT. It has been helping me understand the substance in the preparation material. Over the past few months, I have realized that preparing for GMAT is all about understanding the basics, understanding the question well (PRE-THINKING), matching it to the concepts learnt and then taking up the correct strategy to answer the question by POE or simply being able to mark an answer with confidence and a clear mind. I understand it is not as easy as I type in words. I am still trying to solidify my approach. But this attitude has definitely helped me. The e-gmat course content is very structured and so-many man hours have been put in to preparing the course content. It is very commendable. Basics are very well explained (neatly and thoroughly) . After every concept file there is an application quiz and a practice quiz follows which test the depth of your thinking. Also help you to immediately test the concepts that you have learnt. There is discussions for the practice quizzes where you can understand the approach taken up by fellow students and post questions to the instructors. There is tonne of information available on this site. The instructors do a thorough job of explaining the concepts really well in short videos which can be watched and re-watched at the student's own pace. I am yet to take the GMAT exam but writing this review as I wanted to share the experience of using the e-gmat material with the fellow community members. I look forward to using the course content of this website and put up a decent score and make it to my dream business school.

Subcribe e -gmat for 700+ score in gmat

A year ago, I used to absolutely dread RCs. I found them really mundane and could never get myself to focus. While my quant was always strong, and CR and SC were average, RCs just didn't come to me naturally. And no, this does not mean that I'm weak at English in general. Infact, I'm among the most annoying grammar nazis that you may across. But each time I would come across an RC in the middle of my mocks, I would feel low and lose time and thereby end up rushing through my SC and CR questions as well.

Then, my friend introduced me to e-GMAT and I cannot thank him enough for having done that. After a year long break, I felt the need to go over SC and CR concepts as well and the videos provided by e-GMAT made them a whole lot of fun. I would stay up till late night, watching the videos, almost like I'd be watching a sitcom. They were light and helped me brush up my concepts very well. I had read someone's review about making handwritten notes while watching videos and then transferring those onto Evernote at the end of each day as that would not only help you revise, but also create a handy notebook for you to skim through while you're on the move. This tip helped me a lot and I would really recommend it to you all as well. I made my notes nice and colourful and added screenshots and links to them. Going over them later seemed fun because of all the colours I had added. (let me know if you want me to share them with you!)

The RC videos were really helpful as well. e-GMAT provides you a number of key strategies that you must keep in mind while reading through RCs. The one strategy that worked wonders for me was "to get immersed". I would literally tell myself at the beginning of each passage that "Oh! this sounds interesting, lets read what happens next!" I even used the note making approach during RCs quite regularly and was thereby able to get ALL my main point and structure questions right. These strategies seem very time consuming in the beginning, but within no time, you start to internalise them.

The other thing that I absolutely loved about the VLP was the scholaranium. Since I knew that RC was my weak point, I had decided to do atleast 4 passages every day, along with 20 SCs and 20 CRs. I used to create a lot of RC Ability quizzes and while I started with a 43% accuracy (with no time left to answer the last one), by the end I had 96% accuracy which was a great achievement for me. Infact, the day before my GMAT, when I sat down to give my RC ability test, I felt I was able to breeze through it easily. I wasn't spending to much time reading and even the answers were coming to me naturally.
When I submitted the test, I saw my score report in which I had just one (Hard) question wrong out of a total of 4 RC passages. This was my biggest confidence booster and I am sure that my Gmat will go really well this time.
Thank you e-GMAT once again and thanks to all those who read my review till the very end. I hope I was able to motivate a few of you out there like me, who may have totally given up on RC.

All the best to you all !!
