TTP drives understanding of content

I used TTP to re-study, and found that it really forced me to understand all the concepts tested on the GMAT. While preparing for my first sitting, I did too many practice questions without understanding my mistakes. TTP is designed to make you slow down while learning, and then go into the exam better prepared. I found that I was faster without doing much timed practice because of the level of understanding I had developed. I recommend using TTP from the beginning of your studies. If, however, you are retaking, it will definitely serve you well.

Thanks to TTP for Q50

Even though I had covered the full syllabus from another platform, I was stuck at Q45/46. I used TTP to fill the gaps in my basics and fine-tune my Quant prep. After using TTP for 10-15 days, I was able to score 49-50 regularly in the GMAC mocks and ended up with a Q50 on the real test.

TTP - Incredible

Absolutely incredible platform! I was already farily strong in Quant, but wanted to brush up my skills and ensure that I would achieve 49+. Walked through each essential GMAT skill for Quant and boosted my confidence. The Verbal beta really pushed my abilities to the next level and allowed me to break that 700 barrier. Would recommend to anyone for both Verbal and Quant!

I was looking for a way to boost my quant score without having to purchase an entire program. After some research, I went with Target Test Prep as it was user friendly, had a wealth of practice tests, and broke the content out in a manageable way. I went from 680 on practice tests to a 740 on the real test. A few other things that I like: -Formula sheets -Constant review either through "reminders" or review tests -"Analytics" - shows you your weakest topics, breaks out your accuracy for each topic, towards the end as you're taking practice tests, there are "weak topic tests", -Practice tests broken out by easy, medium, and hard -Example problems in the lessons -Ability to electronically take notes in the lesson portion and flag problems -Notes and flagged problems all accessible in one place when you're reviewing right before the GMAT -Customizable tests -Chat box to ask questions if you're really unsure of an explanation I really cannot recommend this enough. I went from struggling to complete the quant section to finishing with 3 minutes to spare (and the actual GMAT questions felt so much easier).

The only prep software you'll need for the GMAT!

TTP's practice questions and explanations were hugely impactful in my preparation for the GMAT. They break the quant section down into 19 various question type categories, and I just went through and practiced every single question until I mastered each category. When you get one wrong, they have any amazing breakdown so you can understand where you went wrong and fix it for next time. They are rolling out more and more verbal prep as well, and the critical reasoning practice was super helpful because that was the weakest part of my verbal. All in all, I was able to jump to a 770 on my real test, and TTP was instrumental in making that happen! Highly recommend!

Hi, Starting with only 520, I improved my score to 700 (GMAT Online). Studying with Target Test Prep was the best decision I made during the prep! Initially, I was using the MGMAT books that I got from a friend, but the score did not improve much after a few weeks of studying. So, I decided to look for an alternative way of studying. Luckily, Marty Murray, whom I found on the internet, referred me to Target Test Prep. I enjoyed studying with TTP because it was keeping me engaged through the course. That I could see my score improving gradually was rather motivating. The material is very thorough and the grind is not tiring at all. It is impressive how the material builds up block by block, eventually increasing the difficulty. I highly appreciate the time the TTP stuff took to answer my many questions. I also appreciated a lot of material on different GMAT strategies, such as the GMAT time management strategy. I will definitely recommend Target Test Prep to all my friends. I really enjoyed the tranquil self-studying! Thank you Scott, Marty, Jeff, Amaury, and Rafael. You guys are the best!

TTP took me from a 710 (47Q/41V) to a 760 (50Q/44V). Their Quant program is truly unmatched. The plethora of practice problems prepare you for the GMAT in a way that I did not find anywhere else. Their analytics break down exactly which topics are your strengths and weaknesses, helping you to focus your studying. I highly recommend trying TTP for yourself, the $1 trial gives you a 5-day chance to test out their program.

I'm an international (eastern European) student, who decided to take the GMAT 3 months ago. Having looked over the available options I found TTP as the most recommended resource and decided to give it a try through the 5-day trial. Within the 5 days I got addicted to the course - because that's how TTP is structured. It makes studying for the GMAT a fun challenge. It makes you want to beat your own score, learn a new method, or trick and keep going further and further. The study plan that TTP provides you is very well structured and easy to follow and they even make note taking easier by preparing note-sheets called ActiveReview which you simply fill in. The Quant section of the course is absolutely perfect in every detail. The verbal part is in its early stages of development, yet it's incredibly helpful. CR sections are very thorough and the SC is just enough for an international student (non-native English speaker) to get the grasp of what the GMAT tests. 3 months later I am holding a score report saying 760 (Q49 V45 IR8 AWA5.5) and I can tell you - couldn't have done it without TTP.

TTP Quant review

I can credit TTP with boosting my score within a month of regular prep, from a Q44 to a Q49. The chapter breakdown was instrumental as a first step in gauging the quant "syllabus" (if you can call it that). The easy, medium and hard quizzes and targeted accuracy levels are designed such that you can hone in on the areas you need to focus on. I did not see a need for any other prep other than the chapters and the quiz sections. Did not get a chance to check out the new Verbal section, but if the Quant is anything to go by, I am sure it will be worth the investment!

Target Test Prep is by far the most systematic, organized, and comprehensive review of GMAT quant out there. Quant has always been my weaker section, and I found I wasn't making as much progress as I liked with traditional test prep books. The platform does a great job of breaking each topic down into smaller, more manageable lessons and keeping you on track with review quizzes along the way. As a side note, also appreciated how there are inspirational quotes posted at the end of each lesson, as well as how Scott messages students to remind them to take care of their mental health when studying. Thank you TTP for helping me raise my Quant score from a 45 to 49, could not have it done it without you!

Online GMAT (780) - TTP

June 21, 2020
  • Teacher:
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 710 After: 780

TTP took my quant from a Q49 to a Q51 and my verbal from a V39 to a V47. TTP Quant was really helpful for filling in the gaps in my Quant preparation. The chapters were very detailed—the Combinations and Permutations chapter took me from guessing on every permutations/combinations problem I saw, to making permutations/combinations one of my strongest Quant topics. When I took the official MBA.com practice tests, I used TTP's chapter tests to target concepts I missed by taking a hard chapter test and reading the lesson for any questions I missed. I thought TTP Verbal was phenomenal, even though it was in beta. Particularly, I thought the SC chapters were incredible. SC was my weakness, as 8 of the 11 questions I got wrong in my cold GMAT practice were SC questions. The SC chapters were very detailed, and the Targeted Practice at the end of most lessons really helped reinforce the concepts taught, although TTP Verbal had not released SC chapter tests at the time. While TTP Verbal is still in beta, I would recommend everyone to at least try out the $1 trial period and to test out both TTP Quant and TTP Verbal.

TTP 780 in one month

June 21, 2020
  • Teacher: Target Test Prep
  • Recommended forVerbal: Yes  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 650 After: 780

Decided in mid May to schedule for the online GMAT on 6/15, and mapped out that I’d have thirty days to get the job done. Studied about 3 hours a day on average throughout the month. Used TTP after a free trial, (you don’t need to read reviews here, just try it for yourself and see if the structure works for you) and grinded out the math there. Had one of those free consultation calls with them telling them my plan and my target score (750) but it was mostly them cautioning a rushed process. For TTP Math I quickly realized there is just too much material to cover and I didn’t have the time, so my process became: read chapter end to end, take one hard test, move on to the next. Skipped all the review tests, just focused on getting all the content learned. This took me ~18 days. Decided to do Verbal on TTP as well, as I had less than two weeks left at that point and didn’t want to switch formats. Felt like the Verbal chapters were pretty solid but very, very difficult. Skipped all the verbal tests as I didn’t have time and the verbal chapters are deceivingly long and full of good practice. I did take one hard test (assumptions, ch.1) and got a 10% lmao. It’s really hard, maybe counterproductively so. This took a week total. Overall, TTP's structure, clarity, and website were amazing for me to learn the ins and outs of the exam quickly and efficiently. There is an excess of material to pull from so if you are studying with a timeline you need to be smart about what you focus on and what to skip. I think the verbal was quite challenging but the concepts were taught well. The verbal definitely still needs to be supplemented with another source, like the OG guide, but a great starting point. Would highly encourage anyone who wants fast results to give TTP a shot.

Absolute MUST if you, like me, are not great at standardized math testing. My first practice test I scored a 43 I believe, and it required iterations of fundamentals. TTP delivers by providing a schedule and forcing you to master certain concepts before moving into the next. I know too many who jump around in the OG book convinced that they understand the material, only to have learned about that specific question type rather than the fundamentals.

Online GMAT (720) - 1st attempt

June 17, 2020
  • Teacher:
  • Recommended forVerbal: No  Math: Yes
  • GMAT ScoresBefore: N/A After: 720

After having my first online GMAT revoked (and an agonising 3 week wait for retest eligibility) and rescheduling again when the physical whiteboard option was granted, happy to announce that I scored a 720 (Quant 49, Verbal 38; IR 7). Official GMAT Practice 1 & 2 scores: 710 (Q47, V40) 730 (Q48, V41) I am a native English speaker from Singapore. Until recent education reforms (after my time), the education system I was brought up in is known for being very test-oriented and that background has helped me retain most of the quant fundamentals despite it being ~11 years since I was in high school. But I needed a refresher and to have questions to grind with. TTP, of course, comes highly recommended from Reddit for quant preparation. Kudos to them for a great interface that helps provide analytics on focus areas to make studying more efficient. I used TTP for 3 weeks total (1 week trial and 2 weeks paid) before my test. With that short timeframe (and off a base of Q47-48), I was really trying to make sure I sustain that score range by not making silly mistakes and eliminating flukes. I didn’t use the TTP study plan as recommended but instead decided to go through only the chapter tests, beginning with the Easy, followed by Medium tests, and visiting the content only if I found I needed them. I find Quant to be something you have to practise at consistently to hone your sharpness so TTP’s large question set base was very helpful to my preparation. I neglected Verbal preparation (I was confident of a V40 at least) so that was a small mistake on my part that pulled down the overall score. Still, a 720 first attempt is something I’m reasonably happy with!

Target Test Prep - Worth It

June 12, 2020
  • Teacher: Target Test Prep

  • GMAT ScoresBefore: 650 After: 710

Target Test Prep has a great structured comprehensive self-guided study program. The lessons and interface are great and make the user experience pleasant. Expect to spend ~3 solid months on TTP if you're doing a comprehensive review. I was consistently scoring 720-750 in the practice test phase. TTP helped me break 700+ on the official exam. Quant TTP is the way to go here for sure. Early on I naively thought I could handle quant because it's all high school math, right? I soon realized GMAT quant is a different beast. Being good at math can help you pick things up quicker, but it won't be a breeze until you become familiar with GMAT questions. TTP dives into each topic and has lesson questions and chapter tests to reinforce the skills. I think most people will consistently score Q47+ after going through TTP. Verbal While TTP is still in beta and tests aren't fully built out yet, it's still very good. Like other programs, TTP concisely explains why each answer choice is wrong and why the correct answer is correct. TTP CR demonstrates and categorizes what typical correct and incorrect choices and trap answers look like. Learning how to identify and categorize answer choices helped me save time by teaching me how to quickly recognize and knock out incorrect/trap choices while at the same time perform logical reasoning to narrow down the final choices. I supplemented with OG verbal questions. Once TTP verbal is complete, I think TTP will hands down be the best comprehensive GMAT program.

I read about Target in review like this, so It seems not just more than fair that I should go back here to advise positively their work. I wen through the whole Quant course - and yes, it can sometimes be overwhelming - but when I concluded the course I knew I had all the foundations needed to get a good Quant score. After concluding the course, during my last 3 weeks of preparation I kept studying timing strategies by practicing oficial questions until I was confident to hit my target score, and I was able to see my Quant score goes up every mock. So by the day of my oficial GMAT I was felling confident that would reach at least a Q48 and I did it! I appreciate Target good job and I believe their phases style course is just what you need for Quant.

Took my quant to the next level

May 30, 2020

I recently took the GMAT for the 5th time on May 15th of this year and received a 740 (Q50/V40/IR8). I had taken it twice in 2015 and twice in 2016, with the highest of the four GMAT scores being a 730. For all four of those tests, I had received a quant score of 49. This was in spite of achieving a quant score of 50 on more than half of my practice tests. Through browsing reddit, I heard TTP was the best quant resource out there and decided to give it a try. I think these claims were true – I had taken a competitor’s course back in 2016, and found that it covered the basics, which was probably good enough for someone wanting to score a Q48/Q49. TTP is unquestionably a great quant resource if you’re looking to score Q50/Q51 – it has tons of difficult practice problems and delves into multiple permutations of each question type, which I found extremely helpful for very hard probability, combination, permutation, and inequality problems.

TTP Quant took my quant score from a 28 to a 49 within a month. I have a STEM background which helps, but the chapter tests were extremely effective at pin pointing my weaknesses and allowing me to focus on those. I studied in total for about 3 months and couldn't have improved my score as much without TTP. I plan to retake the GMAT and continue using TTP to study. If you have any questions or problems, their service is extremely responsive and quick. I couldn't recommend any other GMAT study prep more.

Target Test Prep - Worth the Hype

May 29, 2020
  • Teacher: Scott

  • GMAT ScoresBefore: N/A After: 710

When I began my GMAT studies, I had no idea where to begin. It had been years since I studied like I had to in college, and I was getting a lot of basic GMAT problems wrong. I knew I would need a more concentrated and detailed study plan if I was going to achieve any success taking this test. I began to research different programs, and noticed a lot of posts from people suggesting Target Test Prep for Quant. After signing up for the 5 day and trial and playing with the software and taking a few lessons, I realized this program would gel well with my learning style and decided to purchase the 6 month plan. After having finished the program and taken the GMAT, I can say that I am very glad with my decision, and that TTP is definitely worth the hype. TTP's comprehensive and meticulous study plan takes you through every area of studying for the exam, so that you can feel confident that you will get the score you need to come test day. The number of chapters and amount you need to learn to complete the course may be daunting at first, but it is on purpose and is to ensure that you know the topics in and out, not just shortcuts that may or may not help come test day. TTP is just starting to roll out a verbal component to their platform, and while I only had time to complete a few of the lessons prior to taking my test, the verbal lessons seem to have the same quality you'd expect from taking the Quant course. Ultimately I am very happy with my choice to study with Target Test Prep and know that it played a huge part in helping me reach my goal of a 700+ GMAT score!

Target Test Prep is the cornerstone of a rewarding GMAT experience

My GMAT journey started with a 490 on my first Manhattan Prep CAT. I had no clue what I was doing and only got 2/3 of my way through the quant section. One of my friends recommended I look into Target Test Prep (TTP as it is now part of my everyday vocabulary). After using the TTP curriculum I was able to almost double my quant score to the 47-49 range. Despite making the jump in quant, my verbal score lagged behind severely. On my first GMAT attempt I scored a 680 (47/35). A month after my 680, TTP released its Verbal curriculum, and I was able to boost my verbal score from a 35 to a 42! I finished my second official GMAT attempt with a 740 (49/42). I put a lot of time and hard work into my studies but there was comfort in knowing TTP was a program I could trust to make all my work worth while.
