For those willing to make GMAT prep somewhat of a lifestyle, Target Test Prep goes to the level of detail necessary to build concept mastery up from the very basics. The quant modules are delivered in a very organized and structured manner. The analytics are useful for identifying weak areas. There are thousands of problems to work through to improve all areas, weak or not. If you see this program all the way through, I have no doubt you can find success. Also, the team behind the product is willing to give you personalized advice. Verbal Beta is also strong and takes the same detailed approach as the quant modules.

Target test prep is truly special. I started the course with a decent quant background but was able to elevate my quant significantly with the platform. TTP does a great job of preparing you for the rigorous questions you will see on test day and giving you a strong foundational knowledge to build upon. I spent about 5 months on the platform reviewing the quant and beta for the verbal. The chapters provided the knowledge necessary to excel and helped me to score a 49Q. The verbal beta is also following a very similar path to that of the quant and I believe it holds much promise! Verbal, a struggle point for me, significantly increased and I was able to understand questions better as they almost became more formula-based. I found that I was often able to predict the correct answer before reading the choices based on TTP's preparation. I strongly recommend TTP to anyone beginning their GMAT journey. You will not be disappointed!

TTP helped exceptionally with verbal. It is definitely second to none despite still being in beta. I was able to increase my verbal from 31 to 42 using the content that has been incrementally added by the team at TTP. The sentence correction and critical reasoning chapters are phenomenal and I am sure the reading comprehension will be on par when it rolls out.

Although I studied hard for 2 months prior to my first attempt, I didn't receive the score I wanted. I decided on TTP after seeing all of the reviews on Gmatclub and reddit. TTP showed me quickly through their trial period that I had a lot of gaps in my knowledge, and their program was straightforward in building a foundation in Quant. If I had more time, I would have also wanted to try out Verbal, but the Quant section alone took me around 200 hrs. I was not confident in my math skills, but TTP increased my score from a 39 to a 47.

Beyond Thrilled with This Course

All you can ask for in a test prep course is a) ALL the content you're going to see on the test, explained clearly and concisely, and b) enough practice problems to drill the concepts to REALLY understand them. TTP has both features in spades. I went from a 620 to a 760 and have TTP to thank; the practice questions were right in line with what I faced on the real GMAT and every concept on the test was covered thoroughly by TTP. Each of the lessons had enough practice problems and test questions to give you a taste of how to apply the concepts from every angle. If you are prepared to put in the work to get a top GMAT score, Target Test Prep gives you beyond everything you need to accomplish it. By the way, they were rolling out their GMAT Verbal lessons while I was studying; I found these courses just as useful and informative as the quant ones (for which TTP is much more well-known) Scott and the team got me the score needed to be competitive at top schools, and for that I am extremely grateful.

GMAT Redemption Thanks to Target Test Prep

October 27, 2020

On the recommendation of a friend, I began preparing for the GMAT with Manhattan Prep. While I found the Manhattan Prep materials useful for improving on verbal, I felt underprepared on the quant section, especially around math "fundamentals" (e.g. exponents, fractions, word problems) that I hadn't practiced in years. Though I was able to improve from a 630 on my first practice test to a 730 on my final practice test with Manhattan Prep, I scored a disappointing 650 on test day. Several months after this disappointing result, I decided to re-attempt the GMAT, this time by preparing with Target Test Prep. The TTP course provides very clear explanations of each concept and hundreds of practice problems to build your confidence. Overall, I found this method far more effective than the Manhattan Prep course, which is structured around lengthy lectures. Even though I was only able to make it through about 2/3rds of the TTP materials in the 3.5 weeks I had to prepare, I felt far more confident on test day. Target Test Prep helped me build what felt like "muscle memory" around challenging quant questions, which is exactly what I needed to keep my cool and perform. Ultimately, I was able to score a 730 (Q 47 V44) with virtually all of my improvement coming from Quant! Thank you to Scott and the TTP team for developing this wonderful course!

Fantastic Course

I've been studying for the GMAT intermittently and continued to push back my test date as I was never able to reach my target score on mock exams. My original approach was to drill OG questions, and although that allowed me to become more familiar with the GMAT, I never felt I like I was testing myself with same level of difficulty as the actual exam. TTP was a game changer for me and helped to drive the score improvements that I was looking for. The program was instrumental in structuring my study approach and pinpoint my weaker subject areas, allowing me to shore up difficult concepts and drive rapid content mastery. I mostly focused on Quant as I was already fairly comfortable with Verbal, but both sections are well organized and the lessons are very digestible. The SC section in particular highlighted concepts that I was not privy to before, which in turn increased my Verbal score pass expectations when I had already mentally "settled" on the section. Highly recommend the course.

TTP was the bootcamp I needed to maximize my confidence on test day.

After studying for 6 months and scoring 660-690 on practice exams, I choked and scored a 660 (42 Quant) on Test Day, with my quant score particularly low. I was bummed. Yes, it was my first time taking it, but I psyched myself out when I started taking too much time on the first 10 questions in Quant. It threw off my rhythm, and I ended up having to race through the test of test, panicking and most likely making casual mistakes. I took two months off and started studying with a different Test Prep self-paced course, and I was very excited as I scored 750 on one practice test. However, that was the only practice test I took and was very cocky going into the exam after 30 days of serious prep. But, when I got to the Quant, I again froze after busting my butt through those first few questions. I couldn't focus well for the rest of the exam, and ended up cancelling my score of 650. I felt like I failed myself after feeling so confident going into it. As I did some soul-searching, I started checking out the blogs on GMAT Club and Beat The GMAT. I discovered Target Test Prep, where everybody raved about how thorough the Quant Prep material was. That was what I needed: even though I majored in math in college, I was used to higher-level math and longer periods of time to solve fewer questions. I needed better strategies for solving easy and medium difficulty questions if I was going to break 700. After a hardcore two additional months of going through the supplemental notes and targeted quizzes, I felt like I was prepared for any kind of question on the exam. TTP breaks the material down into ultra-specific sections, some of which I would assume have a low probability of being on the exam. However, this extremely thorough and rigorous study material was exactly when I needed to stay both confident AND calm on test day. When I took my exam two weeks ago, I understood my weaknesses going in. I recognized many problems that I could find simple, process-driven solutions to. I may have still made a few careless errors, but I felt very proud of myself for finishing the Quant with a minute to spare. I believe this also helped with my confidence going into the verbal section next, since I wasn't on edge worrying about how I did on Quant. When I saw that I scored 710, I was absolutely thrilled. I increased in EVERY Section on the GMAT (46 Quant, 40 Verbal, 5/8 IR, and 6/6 Analytical Writing). I thank TTP so much for helping me to almost feel OVER-prepared on test day.

TTP helped raise my quant score from a Q44 to a Q50. The course content is extremely thorough, and within the first few weeks I was already hitting 47+. Although there is no live tutor, TTP often hosts webinars and makes sure to answer any questions regarding course content as soon as possible. In particular, I was extremely impressed by the intuitive UI and how easily digestible course materials were. While some of the quiz questions are definitely more difficult than what you would find on an actual exam, they definitely work to sharpen students' understanding of the underlying concepts. I absolutely could not have scored a 750 on the GMAT without TTP.

A Quant Miracle

I took the GMAT back in December 2019, and I received a 39 on quant after 6 months of dedicated study. I was about to give up on business school altogether, when I stumbled upon Target Test Prep. I figured, "what do I have to lose?", so I signed up and started the dedicated study. Target Test Prep is not a study program to teach you quick tricks and gimmicks - it genuinely teaches you how to be a competent quantitative thinker. My "plan" was to just learn the tricks that quant throws at you, and that knowing the gimmicks would get me the high score. Target Test Prep doesn't do that. It arms you with every single question type available, and drills you with the hardest possible questions in each category. Once I took my first practice test after Target Test Prep, I was in shock - I genuinely had a deep understanding of the problems, and knew exactly what the GMAT was asking of me. After 6 months of hard, dedicated study, my quant score went from a meager 39 to a 49. It's worth noting, that they also added verbal study. I only needed help in the sentence correction category, and Target Test Prep delivered here as well. It is the first test prep program I have seen that gives you extremely difficult questions, then walks you through them until you understand them. It makes the real GMAT, in comparison, look like a piece of cake. Anyone who needs to study for the GMAT, do not think twice. Target Test Prep is the clear choice.

All in all, TTP was exactly what I was looking for to improve my quant score, and I highly recommend it.

Everything you need for 770+

August 17, 2020

This course was highly effective at providing what I needed, which was a comprehensive self-study overview of GMAT content. The material is taught in an order that makes sense, and you can go at your own pace. Although I started from a high base score (740 on my first official MBA.com practice exam with no real studying), I felt that TTP helped me fill the gaps in my skills to ensure that I would get a 770+ on test day. My last three practice exams (taken over the course of 5 weeks prior to my exam) were all 770, with verbal scores ranging from 45-47 and quant scores between 49-51. Test day was a bit stressful, but I was able to pull a 780 (Q49, V51, IR8). Marty was extremely helpful in motivating me and providing targeted advice for how I should structure my prep. I didn't need to or want to chat with him on a weekly basis about my prep, but he was extremely responsive when I needed advice. The only downside about this course is that the verbal questions (especially CR) are really, really hard (almost demoralizingly so). But they prepare you well, and I got a V51 on test day, so I can't complain. The quant questions are tricky but cover just about every concept you could reasonably expect to see - I found their quant material to be representative of the test material.

Target Test Prep Is The Most Effective GMAT Guide

August 3, 2020

I began my GMAT journey at the beginning of the New Year and was recommended by a friend to use Target Test Prep (TTP) as a guide. The TTP Curriculum was thorough and gave me great insight into the different types of questions that would be asked on the exam. When I was first introduced to the course, only a guide for the Quantitative Section was available. After completing the guide for quant, I was consistently scoring at least a Q49 on Official Practice Exams. My struggles came on the Exam’s Verbal Section. Shortly after my first few practice exams, TTP released its Verbal Course and I saw an instant score improvement. My verbal score quickly jumped from low 30s to low 40s. After 2 in person test cancellations due to COVID-19 and a technical error on my first online exam, I was finally able to complete my first GMAT Exam, scoring a 730 (Q49/V41).

The Hard problems that they provide in each chapter really make the actual exam problems so much easier. I’d say one key thing to remember is to really spend time with the solution answers whether you got the question right or wrong. The solutions that TTP provides is second to none, so focusing on quality over quantity especially with this platform, will improve your score drastically!
