Magoosh provide an abundance of information in the forms of practice questions, e-books, video lessons and even the informative blog posts. The "course" is not just course, but a comprehensive learning resource. It provides a few study schedule to follow, but can be done at your own pace, depending on what you excel at or are deficient at. This structure was very helpful for someone like me who wanted to study on my own schedule.

Also, the content itself was very well prepared and presented. Not only are the concepts taught though lessons, they are also reinforced through individual practice question explanations, each of which has it's own mini-video lesson.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to excel on the GMAT

I like Magoosh course due to its conciseness. The course would go over all the key module in the GMAT to ensure you know what you will be facing in the real exam. Moreover, the thing that make Magoosh so useful, especially for people with minimal preparation time, is its platform. It allow you to identify your weak point and focus on improving it in the most efficient way

Recommend for people taking the GMAT

The verbal and quant lessons by Mike and Chris are really helpful. The question bank and their explanations are very good as well and help clear all concepts and doubts in mind.
Overall, the magoosh product was very helpful for mein getting to a 660.

I went into my GMAT prep with very little quant background (and pretty bad math anxiety). I used Magoosh almost exclusively to relearn all the concepts tested by the GMAT and develop my own test strategies. The problem sets and explanations are all great. While I was already confident in my verbal skills, I still completed most of the verbal questions. It definitely helped me refine my approach there as well (went from 44 on the GMAC prep test to 47 on test day).

I tried Magoosh from a friends account and bought my own. I only studied for 3 weeks before I took the exam. THIS IS NOT A GET RICH COURSE. If you truly are looking for guidance take your time with this prep. I believe the only reason why I didn't score higher was because I rushed through the course. The videos for math are amazing, they teach you ways to figure out the problem that are so helpful. I would suggest watching the videos and practicing the techniques taught before moving forward to really understand how they work and help you improve your math skills! I didn't spend too much time on the verbal videos, but I am sure if you need help in that area they are very helpful!

Only got to study for a month, and thank god for Magoosh. Every question has a video explanation, and the product is really flexible so you can study as much/little as you want a day.

I only studied for a month (and would have scored better if I had more time with Magoosh), but I wholeheartedly support you buying Magoosh if you need some extra assistance.

Magoosh's GMAT prep course is very helpful for anyone trying to get good GMAT score. The video lessons are very informative. Mike McGarry is a great tutor and his video lessons in Quant and Verbal really makes it easier to understand the concepts. The 1200+ practice questions are GMATesque and solution to every question has video explanation, which is very helpful. The price of the prep course is the lowest I could find.

Magoosh is a great way to study for the GMAT. Their videos are in depth, there is a ton of practice questions, and it boosted my score a bunch. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect score is because I think you should also get a book from a different review course to diversify your studying. Overall, Magoosh is the way to go! Also a way better price than all of the others.

I have gone through the magoosh prep course.
For SC It was helpful in identifying the splits. The Example discussed were very good. Topics like parallellism, modifiers,comparisons are well disccused in detail.
For CR the approach helped me to reduce the time for selecting the right options and to avoid confuse between the answer choices.
For RC it was helpfull to breakdown the passage. So i was able to solve all OG question
Tuesadays with Kevin is also a good resource which one can loo into..
For Beginners especially Magoosh would be good enough to start with and they can easily see score improvements upto 20 points.

Absolutely purchase the Magoosh Premium course for your studies. It is without a doubt the best value and likely the best product period short of doing an in-person class (and from what I've heard it may even be better than some of those). You simply can't get this much information anywhere else for $100. Mike is an incredible teacher and will make difficult material seem ridiculously easy with time. Follow the 6 month study plan (I sped mine up to 4 months) and you will be fully prepared if you pay close attention and actually do what they tell you to do. I can confidently say my 790 would not have happened without Magoosh.

Magoosh's Computer Adaptive Tests were everything. Doing problems on the computer as opposed to out of the Official Guide made all of the difference. My verbal went from 50th percentile to almost the 90th percentile.

I realized that while I was good at Verbal I was not solving problems quickly enough. Magoosh helped me manage my speed, and accuracy. This software will be the best investment you can make if you are having issues with verbal.

Very happy with my experience using Magoosh Premium Prep. I struggled with Quant in my first few practice CATs, and I found that the video lessons do a very good job of going through every area of the Quant section, clearly explaining the reasoning behind many different question types. Mike McGary is an excellent teacher, and he really goes through every detail from the foundations up. Much of the beginning sections of Quant was review for me since I have an engineering background, but going from the basics up to the more test-like problems really helps you to understand the GMAT questions.

The course goes into an extreme amount of detail for the sentence correction type problems. If you are struggling with these, it will help a lot, especially if English is your second language. For native speakers, much of this is review. Nevertheless, they really cover everything so even native speakers will benefit if they really pay attention to the lessons. Once again, Mike McGary is excellent here.

I feel that the Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning sections were a bit lacking, though. There was a different instructor ,and he wasn't nearly as good. However, the practice problems for these areas were great, and Mike McGary is involved in many of the video answer explanations for these types of questions.

A MAJOR strong point was the fact that there are video explanations of ALL 900+ practice questions. All of these factors plus the low cost really make this the best value per dollar from what I've gathered from my experiences. Some people shell out $1,000 and score mediocre, others sit down and get 750+ without studying. So don't assume that spending more money = a higher score!!!

I labored for a long time over which study materials to utilize for the GMAT. Other people seem to be able to justify spending thousands of dollars on tutoring and expensive classes, but I couldn't. I can confidently say that Magoosh offers the best value out of all the GMAT study materials in the marketplace. The detailed lessons from Mike McGarry as well as the video explanations to every practice problem were simply indispensable. Use Magoosh Premium along with one of their study plans and I'm confident anyone can beat their target score if willing to put in the necessary work.

The Magoosh GMAT prep is an excellent resource and well worth the money. You get out of it what you put in, but if you're willing to dedicate the time, they provide you with all of the tools necessary to really learn the material. I majored in music in college and work in a field that is far from math-intensive, so I was concerned about the IR and Quant sections. The Magoosh teaching materials are comprehensive and allow you to gain a deep understanding of the material on multiple levels. You can access their materials on any device which makes studying incredibly convenient and makes it easy to reinforce long study sessions through repetition; if you have 10 minutes free, you can run some flashcards or catch up on a lesson. I used this in tandem with the OG, spent far less than the cost of most other courses and beat my goal of breaking 700 the first time around.

Magoosh has more than enough questions for you to practice. Each question has a written explanation AND a video explanation so 99% of the time, you'll receive the rationale behind the answer.

Definitely worth it for the price.

I took the GMAT once and had wanted to get a 700 or above. I had a strong math background with my degree coming in engineering, but the verbal was always going to be the toughest for me. I took a few practice tests (both on Magoosh and the 2 offered on the GMAT website), and increased my scores from 600 on the first one to 650 on the last one. I was a little nervous that I wouldn't be able to break 700 based on those. However, the Magoosh site is great for picking specific areas of focus and really allows you to grasp the concepts of difficult lessons with the video explanations after each question. Even if I would get a very hard question correct, many times I would still watch the video to try and understand the concepts better and see if there was a way to get the answer easier. Being able to hone in on the topics I was struggling with really put me over the edge as I scored a 710 (49Q, 37V), beating my goal score by 10. I would say that using this site helped to get me where I wanted to be at in preparation, and it definitely was worth the money. Just an hour or 2 a night, and a few more on the weekends for 3 months got me where I wanted to be at, even with a full time job. Buy the review!

Magoosh is a good tool for GMAT aspirants, quant questions are very useful to students, In GMAT real exam I got some questions same as in magoosh quant. coming to verbal section this section is a quite different from math?s, It requires complete knowledge of English along with lots of patience to read passages. I felt magoosh passages are a bit lengthier than GMAT original exam.

Considerations: The only thing I feel wrong with Magoosh is the slow pace of English lessons.

I signed up for the Magoosh Premium Prep (quant and verbal) and couldn't be happier! The videos do a fantastic job of explaining the fundamental concepts, especially on the quant side, and helped me master some of the trickier mental math skills and shortcuts. The adaptive practice problems are also very representative of what you will see on the actual test. I went through almost all of the quant questions and about half of the verbal ones and they definitely covered all the bases. The mobile app is great too and the mobile flashcards were useful for really drilling in formulas, grammar, and idiom rules. I opted to not do a formal class to save money and paired Magoosh with the OG, Manhattan, and Aristotle SC books. Together these were more than enough to prepare me and helped me crush the GMAT on test day!

The best thing about Magoosh is that it gave me structure. I am NOT at all a self-studying type of person. If I don't have a structured plan given to me by somebody else, I will end up making my own plan, and then straying all over myself. Magoosh's study plans and comprehensive videos are perfect for my style of learning. The only thing that you need to do is follow through their plans, and then tack on 2 weeks of targeting your weaknesses, in order to get a good score. Magoosh's math videos were the strongest point for me, while the verbal videos didn't give me much more than the MGMAT SC book. Perhaps it is because I am a natural English speaker and don't have much patience for grammar rules.

In any case Magoosh brought me from a 690 to a 720 in the course of about 2 months, and I am confident that with some extra study, I will be able to hit around 750 (highest Q + highest V on practice exams = 780). I will be coming back to Magoosh for this second go-around, as I know where to look for the right material to target my weaknesses, and the content is quite comprehensive.

I only wish that Magoosh' practice question database was larger, as I found that I quickly ran out of hard or very hard questions and began seeing repeats. It is in these questions that you raise your score from the above-average to the extraordinary. These questions will get you into the top schools.

I started with a 460 in the beginning of my GMAT preparation. Through the Magoosh videos and study problems, Beat the GMAT blog, and Magoosh flashcards I was able to increase my score to a 610 in three months. I am fully confident by working with these resources and studying for another month I could get above a 700! I am beyond impressed by the preparation from these online materials and so thankful!
